  1. GM Out at sea, a little while later... There were five of them, sleek, ancient, and deadly, out at sea but not to deep...where there was plenty to feed on before the cold and dark made life less tolerable and thus less abundant. The creatures were not aggressive - at least to Wave Eye. Irritable, perhaps, and born with an innate predators personality, but they kept their distance from Wave-Eye, recognising a threat when they saw one. "Charming fellows, eh?" whispered Skull Face to Wave Eye. "I spend a decade lodged inside the belly of one of their biggest beasts once. Not the highlight of my century, I can tell you..."
  2. Toot Toot!!! Up from the churning waters, a submarine emerged of most unusual design. Copper, brass, and iron, with elegant tubing layered on every side. As it arose, a steam powered horn thundered, announcing its arrival. Alice was the inscription on the side. The top of the ship flipped open. "Ahoy there!" called Lord Steam, clambering out of his vehicle and jumping ashore. "I do believe I heard talk of a maritime mystery" he continued, dusting off his clothes and leaning on his cane. "And I simply can't resist a mystery!" he concluded, tipping his hat at Blodeuwedd. "Madam? shall we?" he asked, offering his arm and preparing to board the mysterious vessel.
  3. Rules checked and corrected. Dok is not staggered, only bruised (and, technically dazed, but as he is helpless...)
  4. Both are feasible! The former is incredibly dangerous and cool, and is worth a HP!
  5. Indeed, 1 HP for failing the nauseate! As an academic point if you have reference for side effect rank could you pm me?
  6. That works for me, although I would rule that for a side effect to be a side effect, it should be equal rank to the power in question i.e. Damage 10 and Nauseate 10. That means Fort Save goes to Bruised, Dazed, and Staggered. And Nauseate is still Helpless! :0 And that just, just hits! (Gremlin has a defence of 12!) Gremlin also has partial immunity to technology, so its a rank 5 Drain Toughness and Rank 5 Damaged! :0!!!! (Feel free to let the blood spurt on that one! - or you hit a nerve?) Onto the more positive! 1d20+12=13 A truly craptastic Reflex save, Toughness DRained -2... and a better, but less impressive toughness roll vs DC 20. 1d20+2=17 Injured! Post away. Gremlins actions: Clamber onto the wing of the plane! Round 3!!!! 18 - Glow - Injured, Fatigued, 2 Hero Points. 18 - Dok - Helpless, Bruised, 2 Hero Points. 12 - Gremlin - Injured, -2 Toughness.
  7. 1d20+10=18 Notice Roll. 1d20+5=24 Search Roll. Using his ESP on Radio Senses. So, Radar (rough shape), any energy there (power cables, TV, etc), and Radiowaves coming and going. Its Analytical, Acute, and Accurate for all of that. And on the off chance if there is any dimensional or temporal distrurbance he picks that up too, I guess. (yes, he has a lot of PP plumped into supersenses!).
  8. "Well, that sound's like we are on the right track then" said Supercape. He pulled up his motorcycle a half block away from the address. "Lets go on foot from here" he said to Harper. "Less obtrusive. And besides which, I can barely ride the thing" he confessed. He was just about road safe on it, but he wouldn't push his luck on the machine. He concentrated carefully, pushing his extraordinary super senses, carefully analysing the area around the address. Simply entangling two spots - here, and there (the address) meant he could pick up the flux of energy to and fro at the addresses location. "Hold on one moment" he said, raiding a hand. "I'll just take a look..." he continued, his eyes closed.
  9. GM "Feisty little thing aren't you!" snarled Gremlin, as it ducked and rolled from the green power of Glow. "Curse my unconscious for bringing you on board...that green power of your's is most irritating!" it continued, slapping it's own cheek in frustration. "I must be as mad as the Doktor, always undoing myself. No matter. I shall overcome!" With that, he hopped and slashed at Glow once more, before scuttling off, fast as a dart, to the rear of the ship, where the gaping hole to the outside was. "Let's see if I can't make things a little hotter here..." it giggled.
  10. Gremlin: Standard Action: Slice Kristen 1d20+12=26 Another DC 19 Toughness save and DC 14 COncentration save for Glow. Move Action: Gallop to the hole in the plane at the rear. Round 2: 18 - Glow - Injured, Fatigued, 2 Hero Points 18 - Dok - Uninjured, 4 Hero Points 11 - Gremlin - Uninjured NB: I am awarding Glow a Hero Point for acting so heroically - keeping up her force feild around the plane to save everybody whilst being slashed at!
  11. Faster than Finnigan 1d20+5=13 1d20+2=7 And his cronies! Round 1: 14 - Starlight - 3 HP - Unharmed 13 - Finnigan - Unharmed 7 - Goonsx2 - Unharmed Starlight is up.
  12. Glow -1 Hero Point - Injured - Fatigued Initiative Roll please Scuffles. we have 1 round before Dok arrives up from the chute! 1d20+8=11 for Gremlin. (NB: May as well roll initiative for Dok for Round 2...)
  13. You are up! Round 5: 22- Voltage - 1 Hero Points - Bruised, Fatigued. 10 -SGB - Unharmed (DIrectly under Voltage).
  14. GM Finnigan merely laughed at the threat. "Will you now Buck? Will you now!" he laughed, slapping his knee. Whatever his age, he was still fast. In an instant a gun was in his hand. "And what if I shoot you down, stone cold dead? who will be doing the tearing down then. You make me laugh, though, you got some balls on you. Maybe I'll let you live, eh? How's about that?" he said, looking with steely eyes at Starlight. "That's if you tell me who in the hell you are you think you can order me around. And if, lets say, yer tounge be feeling sleepy, then maybe my two friends here might help loosenin' for you..." he added, with a nod to the two large men in the room who cracked their knuckles and advanced towards Starlight.
  15. 1d20+10=20 Hard Case! Also, initiative rolls if you wish (i.e. you arent rolling over and capitulatin') ;)
  16. GM "Biggest, oldest fish?" replied Skull Face "well, you know, there are plenty of old fish around here. Down below, that is. Nasty, cold, and dark. Not a pleasant place. Don't leave me down there..." If he had shoulders, one could imagine him shuddering. "There is a real mean beast I know of, a prehistoric creature. A kraken. I wouldn't fancy facing him. Old as the hills, and twice a stupid. And makes his little cousin we met look like a puppy dog. " he jabbered on, musing the possibilities. "Then, we could ask some sharks. They normally keep their noses clean. Although they aren't the most charming of creatures. And they do pick at bones..." it trailed off, in an anxious tone. "Of course, there is also the possibility of the dead..." it continued "deep down, a field of skeletons, more like fossils really, a mass grave in the depths of the oceans from centuries past. They are old, for sure...."
  17. GM Up on deck! Like a seething film of oil, Gremlin oozed up a crack, up a wall, and formed in all his impish glory right beside Glow. The creature was deathly silent, small, and sneaky. He stayed out of Glow's visual range, and not even the normally eagle eyed Jack Jackson noticed him...until it was too late. "Look out!" yelled the reporter, jumping onto his seat like he had seen a mouse, with genuine terror at the site of Gremlin. Gremlin was vexed, to say the least, at the young heroine's magnificent bubble around the aircraft. "You!" it yelped at Glow "You are the one I texted! curse my unconscious, curse Doktor Archeville! Well, I'll soon put a stop to your games. Kill my party, will you???" And with that, its iron nailed hands slapped into the young Heroine. For his small size, Gremlin was strong, and his nails sharp, but he lacked force and power.
  18. Gremlin Slashes at Glow from Behind! 1d20+14=23 is a hit! DC 19 Toughness Save please! I would like to make this lethal damage - the reason being Gremlin is a nasty little piece of work, and I should add that he will not kill. Arguably the difference between lethal and non lethal is rather minimal in this situation, but I think it reflects him quite well. Added to that, his Damage Bonus is only +4!. Dok if you would like to keep this non lethal thats fine by me. Gremlin feels like the kind of nasty little nipper who would do low grade lethal damage to me (and you know I wont get Iron Age on this!). NB: Scuffles, DC 14 Concentration check if you are damaged to maintain the bubble!
  19. Thats certainly possible as a stunt from your light power array - is that what you meant?
  20. Just a heads up - I am not technically away, but I have been shortlisted for a new Job (cant wait to leave current rotten organisation  ). Two interviews upcoming end of this month, and they are intense. Meaning some considerable prep work to add to my already busy life. Inevitably, this will mean a squeeze of this site, so apologies. I will try to keep posting a bit, and prioritise the multi player threads I am am playing in, but I suspect my GM threads will be slacker than usual. Back to normal in May, one way or the other. Although if I dont get this job, Im going to be tearing around applying for other ones!
  21. Your answer! Scuffles, can Glow make a notice check to spot the sneaky Gremlin as it comes up. DC 25! (Yes, its very stealthy!) A natural 20 will spot him, however.
