  1. Sarah stared bug-eyed at the sight of flipping kaiju stopping around the rail yard. Shaken out of her surprise by the sight of the flying vehicle arriving with Jack of all Blades and two others inside, she quickly activated her defenses as the Interceptors attacked. Disappearing from her vantage point, Sarah came out above the wounded creatures back and slammed her blade into its back as she landed. As red lightning erupted around the wound, she managed to send a grin and salute Jack's way, before having to grab back onto her sword.
  2. Sarah spends a HP to heroic feat Power Attack, then teleport onto the House's back and stab it Attack roll with Power Attack 5 (1d20+5=13) Toughness DC 28
  3. Seeing the attackers turn tail and run, Sarah stood up and warped next to Divine. "Okay, I'm pretty sure that's Dr. Archeville himself with the ray gun, and I sort of recognize the guy with the fire sword, though I can't remember his name at the moment. Do you know who the big guy is?" Pausing for a moment to think, she then continued, "Knieval's that nutjob athlete guy, right?" While waiting for the guy in the cape to find Knieval, Sarah absently held a hand, glowing with a faint blue light, to her cheek and began regrowing her lost tooth.
  4. Sarah again expends extra effort to teleport the last 5 miles onto a roof across the street and burns her last HP to cancel fatigue. She makes a Stealth Check (1d20+5=13) and reactivates her defenses.
  5. With a soft whisper of displaced air, Sarah reappears crouched down on the roof of a building opposite the site of the attack. Concentrating on getting rid of the exhaustion from the jump she finally manages to slow down her breathing. Wiping the sweat from her face, she peered over edge of the roof, taking in the changes in the battlefield.
  6. It was strange. Sarah had awoken that morning with the oddest feeling, enough of one she had begged off work for the day. Then, feeling inexplicably restless, she had found herself wandering the city for the past couple of hours. Sitting on the roof of a warehouse near the river when she heard the screams and crashes, Sarah felt strangely pleased to finally have something to distract her from the worry gnawing at her gut. Shifting into her black suit and shades, Sarah vanished from the roof, sliding through space towards the disturbance.
  7. Might as well. Sarah's Initiative Roll (1d20+5=13)
  8. It had been a quiet night so far, nothing of note other than a few punk kids that had tried to start something and been easily run off. Honestly, that suited Sarah just fine, as she was feeling a little lazy that night. She had been taking advantage of the peace to just stand on top of a tower, enjoy the night breeze, and take in the stars. Naturally the sound of alarms had to shatter her happy contemplation. Quickly dragging herself back to alertness, she determined the direction of the alarms... It couldn't be. Warping to a roof overlooking the source of the disturbance, Sarah groaned softly to herself. It was. Someone was robbing the Hunter Museum. Again. They'd just finished the repairs from the attack when she got her powers a few days ago! Glaring a moment at her sword, as if the entire situation was its fault, Sarah prepared to bamf into action before pausing. She was only 26, and she had only been doing this for just about two weeks. Why did she have the sudden urge to quote Danny Glover? Shaking her head to rid herself of the brief distraction, Sarah disappeared from the roof. Reappearing on a balcony overlooking the main lobby of the museum, Sarah took a quick moment to take in the situation.
  9. "I can see fine. And as for transportation..." Sarah abruptly vanished only to reappear next to the balcony door. "Did you want to get going now, and where in Lincoln do you want to meet up at?"
  10. Sarah expends Extra Effort to increase Spatial Control by 2 ranks, takes a full round to teleport 5 miles into Riverside, and spends a HP to cancel the fatigue.
  11. Meanwhile, on the roof of a building in Riverside Sarah Prescott drops out of thin air into a crouch, breathing heavily. Taking a moment to catch her breath, she then leaps forward and vanishes again.
  12. Thanks to quote clueing me into this Sarah spends a HP to make a immediate Recovery Check (1d20+5=13) and she's back up.
  13. "Well for me it's more like I'm remembering how to fight. And I'm definitely up for a patrol." Sarah then concentrates a few moments before heavily blurring for moment, reappearing in a dark suit and wrap-around sunglasses. Resting her sword on her shoulder, she grins at Mongrel Angel. "So, did you have somewhere in mind?"
  14. Caught completely off guard, Sarah manages to weather Hot Shoe's assault with only a slight bruise, only to get caught full in the face by Slammer, sending her flying off to slam into a distant hillside in Bayview Heights. Unknowingly drawing on some reserve of power, she clawed her way back to consciousness. Abruptly sitting up with an angry snarl, Sarah then staggered to her feet, very calmly brushed some dirt from her clothes, and spat out a loosened tooth. After taking a moment to get her bearings, Sarah vanished, muttering under her breath.
  15. Sarah's Roll to resist Startle DC 34 (1d20+10=16) Reflection field against Slammer's attack of 23 (1d20+5=13) HP reroll Reflection field against Slammer's attack of 23 (1d20+5=16) Toughness Save against DC 35 (1d20+10=14) -1 because I forgot the Bruise, so failed by 22, she's unconscious.

"Sure, I'd be happy to." At Moira's invitation, Sarah spent the next several hours getting to know her. Copious amounts of alcohol were drank while Sarah proved to be rather horrible at pool. After getting to know Moira fairly well and opening up a great deal more than she usually does, Sarah finally bid goodbye to her new friend around midnight, leaving to begin her patrol for the night.

"I used to dream of being a superhero when I was a child, but I never gave it any serious consideration before all this just fell on me. Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind having some people I could rely on, so I'm interested at least." "Thanks for the talk, Moira." Finishing her drink, Sarah pulled out a notepad and wrote down her contact information. "Here you go."

Sarah looks at the card for a moment before slipping it into her pocket. "Thank you Moira, that's very helpful," she said, smiling warmly. "Now what's this about a team?"
  21. "Well, according to Mr. Eldritch, my sword's apparently from shortly after Atlantis sank, so..." Sarah shrugged. "I have a few tricks myself, but I don't where to get more knowledge about magic, so I would appreciate help there. And I've noticed just being in combat has helped my fighting skills, so a sparring partner would be good as well."
  22. Relaxing slightly at mention of Moira, Sarah stared at her visitor a few moments more before remembering the name Mongrel Angel and vanishing her sword "Yeah, Moira mentioned you last night. Please, take a seat. Care for something to drink?" she asked, waving towards the couch. "So what sort of help do you mean?
  23. Having finished dinner, Sarah was planning to get some reading in before she headed out for patrol that night. Just as she sat down, however, she saw a figure alight on her balcony and heard it call out. Startled, Sarah practically leaped from her chair to grab her sword before whirling back towards the mystery woman. "Alright, who's there?" she called out.
