  1. That sounds like a Diplomacy check! :)
  2. I assume Wisp can carry Revenant with her since Lucy's under the 250 lb. cargo limit. If for some reason no, Cheshire can carry Lucy in her Dimensional Pocket.
  3. "While I'd normally enjoy having a chat, we really should hurry up after that guy. You've already heard my name, may I have yours, please?" After the other two women introduce themselves, Cheshire gave them a friendly smile before continuing. "Wisp, how far can you teleport, and can you make blind jumps? I can make it into the plant in one. Revenant, how fast can you move? If you can't keep up, myself, or possibly Wisp could carry you along? And you're right Wisp, we'll need to pick up Haz-mat suits first."
  4. Prescott smirked and gave Lucy a quick hug. "Hugging is fine, as is a handshake." "Good. Let's go everyone." Finding the nearest sewer entrance with a scent trace, our heroes descended into Freedom City's absurdly spacious sewers. Once Jubatus became accustomed to the interesting new smells down below, he was able pick up the trail again. The trail led the anthro-cheetah and his companions through several of the tunnels before coming to a dry passage with a section of wall that had been smashed down, opening into a stone tunnel that descended further into the gloom. As they approached the tunnel entrance the sound of rats broke the silence of the tunnels as a small swarm of the vermin poured out of the darkness. They stared at the heroes a moment before abruptly shriveling into dried husks as foul green smoke flowed out of their mouths and coalesced into six ape-like beasts with thick green hide, fanged maws, and scythe-like claws. With a deep howl the demons leaped to attack.
  5. They are, but Jubatus won't know that unless he makes a Gather Information, or shares his info with Blueshift. EDIT: Ninja'd by quote's IC post. The group's facing demon brutes from Book of Magic p.85. Initiatives folks! Cheshire: Initiative (1d20+5=18) Demons: Initiative (1d20+1=8)
  6. Yeah, that's the right math for the damage. HM needs to roll against Cheshire's 50% miss chance from her Mirror Image.
  7. Sarah stifled a yawn as she stood atop one of many buildings of Riverside. She didn't have time to be tired with someone stealing children right on her home turf. Giving the street below another look, she shifted to another rooftop in the distance. This time there was something to catch her interest. The Revenant stood below her, talking to a cheetah man and some floating device. Abruptly the masked form of the Cheshire Blade appeared next to the gathered heroes on the street. "Hello Revenant. Are you here about the kidnappings, or just chance?" Turning to the cat and the construct, she gave a brief bow. "Good evening, I'm the Cheshire Blade. I don't believe we've met before."
  8. Cubist, Jubs manages to catch some faint scent traces leading from some of the buildings towards various sewer entrances.
  9. Prescott had read up on the news out of the West End. Missing persons, people that were either vampires or were trying to give that impression, and so far no sign of a hero looking into it. This looked like a job for the Cheshire Blade! Which was why Sarah was walking alone through the West End, dressed in a skirt and blouse, looking like any normal, vulnerable young woman. If it worked for that TV character... Her patrol was interrupted by the sound of a familiar voice. Turning to look, Sarah saw the figure of Lucy Harker addressing some graffiti artists.
  10. Nightmares DC 10 (1d20=4) Cheshire is not fatigued.
  11. As soon as Wisp had jumped away, Cheshire teleported behind the super villain and thrust her sword at his back! The briefly immaterial blade plunged through the man's torso to emerge from his chest, wisps of red light swirling around it. Drawing the sword back, the red lights sucked into the blade as its wielder reappeared in her former location. "Well since you were kind enough to introduce yourself, it's only proper that I do the same," she said, sweeping an elegant bow. "I am the Cheshire Blade! Now fall!"
  12. Cheshire does a turnabout strike with All-Out Attack 5, Power Attack 1, and the +2 circumstance: Runeblade Strike, AoA 5, PA 1 (1d20+15=23) A hit so Toughness DC 30 Fortitude Save vs Radiation (1d20+8=27) Cheshire laughs at the radiation! Defense shifted down to +5.
  13. The Cheshire Blade's grin only gets wider at the metal being's declaration. Reaching behind her, Cheshire pulls a wicked-looking sword out as the air begins to twist and distort around her. As soon as Wisp had finished her assault, Sarah swung her blade in an arc in front of her. Simultaneously a loud screech sounded as a prismatic gash in space tore through the air at the metallic one! "Impertinence? Insects? Why do all villains have to take things so personally?"
  14. Nightmares DC 10 (1d20=8) Forgot to do this at the start of the thread. Not fatigued. Draws sword out of her Dimensional Pocket, then attacks with a Spatial Rift - DC 20 Reflex for half, DC 25 Toughness damage.
  15. Hags would occasionally leave bruises on the chests of their victims, but as none of the children have been found that's of little use. The voice of the Lorelei could be picked up by recording devices, while a dream demon might leave behind an ectoplasmic residue if it had physically been at a site. All these creature could call people to them and would need to actually be inside the buildings. A couple of the children were Germanic, but it seems coincidental. The buildings have been having an upsurge in rats in the past few days.
  16. Blueshift: DC 15 Gather Info - A few of the parents or caretakers had mentioned to the police dreaming of a woman singing on the night their children vanished. DC 25 History - lets her now of occasional strange disappearances of children over the centuries in Germany, coinciding with dreams of songs. Possible inspired tales such of the Pied Piper or Hansel and Gretel. DC 20 Arcane Lore - There are a few creatures that could be responsible for something like this. Hags, a Lorelei, or a demon connected to dreams have powers that fit the circumstances.
  17. Prescott was silent a moment, evaluating the man in front of her before humming softly in decision. "Another hero? That would make things easier. I'm the Cheshire Blade. You'll pardon me if I don't change into my costume, but I'm in disguise and don't want to ruin my makeup until its time for the big reveal." Her power abruptly vanishing, Sarah strode to the entrance of the alley and peeked around the corner. "Anyways, busting into the place hopefully isn't necessary. I've got a password to get in, we could always say you're my baggage carrier to get you in as well. If we can get in quietly, we can identify the people in charge a lot easier than trying to catch them after breaking in the walls."
  18. Initiative (1d20+5=8) Still a horrible roll, but not as horrible as others! Re: the spatial rift blast. Hm. Don't know why I put down energy as the damage type. Yes, it's supposed to be physical. I'll need to put that into the edits thread.

    First adventure!

Hmm. I guess I should mention Cheshire's a teleporter as well then. However! Depending on what's in there the GM could always fiat that one or more areas of the house have been blocked off from teleportation somehow or another.

    Vampires!

Piper takes place on the night of the 15th, since me and Tif are saying Cheshire and Revenant had met previously in SC's thread, say this starts on the 16th or 17th?
  21. Sarah had been out of Freedom City attending the wedding of friend from high school. Now driving back home down Route 9, she looked forward settling back into her patrols. She had come to quite enjoy the thrills of heroing over the past year and had been feeling a little antsy without the chance to defeat something more serious than drunken advances at the wedding reception. Conveniently enough, an opportunity presented itself as she approached the city. Forced to slow down near the Charleston exit, she soon noticed the reason was a trail cracked footprints surrounded by an unhealthy green glow, heading towards the power plant. Pulling her car off onto the roadside, Sarah turned off the engine, made sure the doors were locked, then blurred into her costume before vanishing from her car. A string of repeated jumps following the glowing trail quickly led her to the Raymond Nuclear Facility and the cloaked figure responsible for the trails creation, heading for the entrance. The slim figure of the Cheshire Blade appeared several yards in front of the hooded one, hands in her pockets and an amused grin on her face. "Hello there! Pleasant day today isn't it? Planning to sign up for the guided tour?"

    Vampires!

S.O.P. for the Mosquito Scourge: Decapitate & Immolate! Cheshire must stamp out the blasphemous, blood-sucking menace!
  23. Definitely volunteering Cheshire for this. She's a mystic hero, so I don't know whether she could get mixed in with the Parkhurst crew or just play in one of the general threads.
