  1. Sarah Prescott, having finished with some business at City Hall, was just exiting when a bright flash of light and the sounds of a body hitting the asphalt attracted her attention. There in the middle of the street a man dressed like he had just stepped out of an Akira Kurosawa film, waving a sword and yelling in what she assumed was Japanese. Hoping that this was just a lost temporal traveler and not some random crazy (Ah! Freedom City!), Sarah approached with her hands slightly raised in a non-threatening manner hoping to diffuse the situation before any violence broke out. "Ah, hello? Do you speak any English?" she asked, making an effort to enunciate properly just in case.

    Hey, Mystics!

Can Sarah get in on this?
  3. Sarah Prescott: No Mutation Without Representation! (3) Jail Break (1) 3+1 = 4 posts
  4. Sarah stared nonplussed at Knievel's peformance, before turning to Archeville. "So, I don't suppose you could manage to isolate what part of Malice's armor the..." She vanished, appearing in front of Knievel where she launched a strong thrust at him, then returning to continue, "...switch is located in so we can try to avoid targeting it? Or maybe figure out how to replicate it so it doesn't matter? We are planning to not let them go, right?"
  5. Reposting this since I'm not changing my actions. Reflex against DC 23 (1d20+7=25) Woot. Toughness against DC 21 (1d20+10=19) There's a bruise. Sarah is attempting to teleport behind Knieval, AoA 5, PA 5 attack roll (1d20+10=20), DC 30 Toughness, turnabout back to group. Sarah also has a bruise, though if she damages Knieval that goes away.
  6. Reflex against DC 23 (1d20+7=25) Woot. Toughness against DC 21 (1d20+10=19) There's a bruise. Sarah is attempting to teleport behind Knieval, AoA 5, PA 5 attack roll (1d20+10=20), then return to the group with Turnabout. DC 30 Toughness if there's a hit. IC post waiting on whatever quote's got cooked up for teleportation.
  7. Hm. Shift in priorities here, I think. Hoping that Nexus was distracted by Arrowhawk enough for her to get in a good shot, Sarah vanished form her place on the wall and delivered a powerful backhand slash at his right side before immediately appearing on his opposite side to continue the swing into him again. Finally alighting on the roof of the complex, Sarah quickly ducked behind some cover.

    Jail Break (OOC)

AOA 5, PA 5 attack (1d20+10=21), 23 with Master Plan Surge with HP to cancel fatigue Surge AOA 5, PA 5 attack (1d20+10=16), 18 with Master Plan DC 30 toughness that ignores insubstantial if either of those hit. EDIT: Blarg, I forgot Master Plan bonuses.
  9. So yeah, a DC 22 toughness blast along a 30' stretch of wall where the bots exited from.
  10. "I don't suppose wrecking the walls those spawn points are in would slow down the reinforcements? Because as fun as an extended war of attrition sounds I'd really like to get some sleep tonight." Putting action to words, Sarah flicks her sword down the central corridor sending a tear chewing through where some of the new cyborgs had exited from.
  11. Right behind the Jack came Sarah. Rushing out the elevator door she spun, lashing out with her sword down the left hand passage as she continued into the central corridor out of the firing lines. The instant after Sarah passed by a short screaming howl roared down the halls as a jagged tear in space sliced its way through several of the defenders before instantly sealing shut. While several of the bots managed the throw themselves out of the way the tear still caught three, reducing them to mangled heaps as the dimensional shear twisted its way through them.
  12. Alrighty then. Sarah's going to send her blast down the lefthand corridor and shape it so it hits as many as possible. DC 16 Reflex, DC 22 Toughness
  13. Sarah's teleportation is actually Spatial Control, would that matter as far as whatever surprise you have waiting? Because her Force Field, Reflection Field, Mirror Image and Blast are all applications of that.
  14. As accurate as the Killer's kick was, his only reward was a soft grunt as Sarah faded away from the blow, only to return with a powerful overhand blow to his back. Shifting again, she reappeared on top of the wall and gave a jaunty wave at Kung Fu Killer.

    Jail Break (OOC)

Deflect DC 23 (1d20+5=9) So he hit... Fort save vs Stunning Attack (1d20+7=18) and did nothing. AoA 5 PA 5 Attack (1d20+10=11) :| HP to reroll AoA 5 PA 5 Attack redux (1d20+10=22), that's better. EDIT: Forgot Master Plan, so 24 to hit. DC 30 Toughness if that does.

    Jail Break (OOC)

Geez3r, KFK has to beat the 50% miss chance from Sarah's concealment effect, and if that hits I get a deflect roll.
  17. Quickly popping over to the new crater to check that the big guy was out of it, Sarah turned to the new heroine. "Hey there. You new in town? I'm Sarah by the ways" she said, holding out her hand. "Come on, we should probably check the wreckage in case any civilians got trapped. Maybe we can find out what set this off, too."
  18. Considering the giant's reaction to be reasonable cause to assume villainous shenanigans, Sarah vanished from her vantage point. She reentered the scene in midair, her sword slicing a gleaming red arc straight down in an attempt to bisect the giant's face before fading away again. Sarah reappeared further out into the street, blade on shoulder, free hand in pocket, and back to the opponent. The picture of cock-sure arrogance.
  19. While I'm new here, I've done enough roleplaying elsewhere to know that unless one is using mind or emotion control, dictating the thoughts and reactions of other people's characters is something of a nono, quote. Even if it's not actually against the rules here, I would appreciate it if you refrain from doing to my character(s). Now, back to the fight: Attack Roll(All-out Attack +5, Power Attack -5) (1d20+10=25). Toughness DC 30.
  20. The night had been slow so far. Slow and boring. So it was just as well that a loud crash and a roar of flames attracted Sarah's attention just as she was about to leave the area. Arriving on scene just as a woman appears amidst a bolt of lightning, Sarah quickly scans the scene as space begans twisting around her.

    Yea Verily!

    Excellent! *air guitar*

    Yea Verily!

The giant got summoned up by the wizard for some appropriately petty reason and began to rage around as commanded. The wizard himself is wearing Shoulders of Doom covered in Spikes of Villainy for the giant to step on later, allowing the tack scenario as well! How did the wizard find this ritual of giant summoning? Loki, in the background, nudged things a bit purely for the lulz.

    Yea Verily!

Sarah's up for anything. As for ideas... Maybe a fire giant is stomping around somewhere, or there's and evil/annoying plot by Loki in the works.
