  1. Mike gritted his teeth and nodded at Edges words. His face was grim as the others surged forth and he barely hesitated before launching full speed across the field into the midst of the furthest group of Demons shouting at the top of his lungs "THERES NO DEMONS IN BASEBALL!" as he slammed into the mass of demonic minions hovering over the frozen crowd.
  2. Burning an HP to gain Takedown attack and charging the furthest group of demons. Phalanx's punch is DC 24 Charge Attack on the first demon. (1d20+5=24) Second attack if needed (1d20+5=18) third attack if needed (1d20+5=16) I'll add more if there are more in the group I end up at.
  3. Well the original genesis of the thread was a Golden Guardian and Ace Danger team up so I'm kinda loathe to just plow ahead to the conclusion without him being involved. That said I think we can do a bit more of the investigative bits till he shows back up or its clear he isn't going to. I think we'll each try 1 post a day or so to keep the thread alive but give him plenty of time to jump back in.
  4. Mike stood dumbstruck at Edges orders it tooke severla moments for him to even realize he was being spoken too. He turned and looked at the various other teens as they rapidly changed into their assorted 'hero' gear like they were out of their minds. "What are you talking about?" He exclaimed "We're not superheroes were teenagers for crissake." He glanced desperately for some kind of support from one of the others as Alex rushed by. "Where are you going? This is insane." he grumbled at her retreating back "The cops are already here, and the real heroes can't be far behind." Seeing he was getting no support he began to follow Alex up the stairs hoping that once they knew what they were up against someone might see reason. At the end of Alexes transmission he pleaded along their link 'I can't do this Alex, We can't do this, we need to get real heroes to deal with this kind of thing.'
  5. He knew that woudl have been too easy. Marionette wasn't even trying to keep a low profile any longer. He quickly stepped around the desk and looked for a registration log or something she might have used to find her targets room number. he could only hope she had left behind some clue. finding nothing he started down the hallway listening intently for sounds of trouble.
  6. Ace took in the building for a moment before vaulting out of his car. She knew he was coming, had made sure he would in fact. No point in wasting time some poor retired nurse might not have. Ace strode directly up to the front of the building and opened the doors stepping in out of the glare and looking around for any sign of Marionettes plan.
  7. Mike blinked a couple times then processed what she had said. Did Erin have a thing for Chris I mean he was kinda wacky but I guess in a fun way, 'This could get awkward' he thought to himself then leaned in to ask Erin "Should we warn him or something? I can go over if you don't want to, uhm cause trouble."
  8. We went in while hte van driver went to go park.
  9. Ace smiled up at the hovering heroine, "I think yours woudl be a bit more subtle." he said with a smile. He wasn't sure how exactly Phantom conveyed herself about but he figured it would be at least a little less flashy than his car. He was reluctant to leave the vehical in the area but everyone had to make sacrafices occasionally. "So how do we do this?" He asked earnestly, Ace in his long years had managed quite a few various methods of magical conveance the only unifying pricipal he had found was no two were exactly alike.
  10. Mike remained blissfully oblivious sipping his water as he waited for the show to start. As Erin started to stand he glanced over at her and inquired "Too cramped? The first set won' start for a little bit if you want to get some air."
  11. Mike never really got the point of watching baseball so hadn't really been rushing. At Erins insistance he however began moving closer to full speed though still somewhat trailing the rest of the group. When james suggested the box he paused to ask "So are we heading to our seats or the sky box?" Mike trailed off at the end of his statement "Uhm where are the people to take our tickets?"
  12. Mike watched somewhat perplexed as susanna left then slowly shrugged his broad shoulders and shifted back full onto his feet. "Fine by me," he said "But uhh, they didn't warn me you were coming so, yea fair warning." He added Mike was not the neatest teen in general and being out on his own had certainly not improved that thus far. Warning given he turned to make his way down the stairs glad that they had been distracted before they went further with the third floor mystery.
  13. Ace smiled at the revelation, while he certainly wasn't happy about Marrionettes prospective rampage he realized that his mispent years had been missing something, despite himself he enjoyed this edge of your teeth kinda heroism. He called in the likely target and requested a perimeter be set up wth as many Anti-Esper equiped officers and agents as they could get. He didn't want her slipping through his fingers again and gunned the porshe towards Shaddy Acres.
  14. Mike glanced around at the group and spoke up "Everyone is trading, I'm sure we can manage seats together if we try." He glanced around to see if he could make out or overhear anyone looking to unload seats around the cluster they already had. At Marks words he looked over to his roommate "What the heck is midnight cheese?"
  15. Threads up Take me out to the ball Game in Midtown.
  16. So is there more people want from this? Things seem to be petering out.
  17. Ace smiled and replied "I look forward to working with you as well. I'll let you get back to the party then and thank you again Dark Star." With that Ace left the gravtic hero to mingle or pbserve as he saw fit and began making the rounds once more listening in here and there to make sure everyone was doing well.
  18. Skill mastery diplomacy to get them to listen to reason AKA me gives me a 26 (32 with wealth bonus) Are well aware of the villian now due to the scarab switchboard and arrowhawks warning or do we have to wait on some one making an anouncement? Also how far is it to the crater for those of us not in the thick of it?
  19. As the woman charges back into the house Ace curses under his breath and commands "Get your kids to the shelter over there I'l get your wife." This was the problem with people today thought Ace as he ran into the house after the woman, "Ma'am," He called out "It isn't safe here right now you have to come with me."
  20. Mike lumbered through the crowd scaning for Alex or anyone else he knew as he squinted in the sunlight. He had been up till all hours the night before working on his latest poetic endevor. Catching sight of Mark and the others he quickly made his way through the crush wondering how Alex and Mark ahd talked him into this. Between his size and broody nature however most students got out of his way and soon was among his usual crowd again. A year ago the thought of having a 'usual crowd' was inconcievable but here he was and despite himself he even kinda liked it. "Hey guys, where you all sitting?" he asked as he approached.
  21. "Hmmmm," Ace tapped his fingers across his leg as he waxed pensive. "I don't like it." He said eventually, "This whole thing just doesn't add up." Ace bagan paceing the ally as he spoke "First the bank, even if some one stepped up to fill Sky Lords shoes they could do better than knocking over a bank." The ageless hero looked up at Phantom "Second whats in those crates? Weapons, Sky Lord has those, and selling is just another money scheme." "If they were for some reason selling why draw attention with a clumsy robbery attempt?" He finally asked. He started towards the street once more and said over his shoulder "We need to find out whats in those crates."
  22. Mike stared obviously shocked at the girls outfit and managed a poor cover by looking intently at the floor once he realized he'd been staring. "Uhm yea, thats an interesting pet you have there, I'm Mike by the way." As he fell silent once more Mike gave an off hand wave and glanced up from the floor for moment. The large teen shifted uncomfortably and glanced around at the others uncertain how to react to being discovered in the midst of this investigation.
