  1. It was rare that Ace couldn't trace down a rumor to its source and even rarer that the most he could turn up was a neighborhood or possibly two. He had canvased the place by day once already to get the layout and now wandered the streets at night hoping to stir up more info on the who where and how of these exotic weapons that were soon to be plauging the streets. His illusory guise of the night was that of a small time hood looking to score in his small time way, fit with the scene and certainly wouldn't garner much attention as he peered in windows and skylights for signs of where this stuff was coming from. He stuck mostly to the shadows out of habit more than anything else and crept along from warehouse to warehouse looking for anything out of place. This was the long slow process the TV and movies always refered to as 'canvasing' the area. Ace had been around long enough to know its more accurate to call it a waste of time in the feeble hope of getting lucky.
  2. Blarg phones did not get paid so until the weekend Alderwitch can't post except in the evenings and then at the whims of our crappy connection. She'll try and get a baseball post up tomarrow evening she says though and I'll try and hold her to it :D
  3. Ace smiled at the mans comment, "Indeed particularly under shuch circumstances the fondness will grow." He pasued in the coversation until the waitresss was once again out of earshot "Well the interest I represent has very deep pockets assuming quality goods." He said slickly. Not wanting to tip his hand too soon he left that line of inquiry to stew and moved on asking "How many units are we talking about?"
  4. Skill mastery to take 10 for a 32 total
  5. I'll assume its at least a full move to get to the breakout attempt. Ace maintians his concealment in his dash to the "rescue"
  6. At the sound of the large crash outside the building Ace is in motion. One benifit of the room being cleared he certainly didn't have to weave though many people to reach the hall. Looking about on his way he notes several missing Balifs and once more curses the poor judgement of this public trial as his invisible and silent form Wades its way towards the holding cells where hopefully Kneival has not yet been sprung.
  7. Notice check (1d20+7=27) Well that has broken my recent strean of nothing over ten on notice checks resoundingly.
  8. So any signs of trouble from the courtroom?
  9. Alright then I think I'll call this one and say lock it up unless we hear otherwise before a ref gets to it.
  10. Ace smiled at the man and gestured in a friendly manner for the man to join him and waved the waitress over. "Indeed," He said with a chuckle "It's a facinating little toy, so intricate, I'll admit I don't know much about the whole Mecha and Manga franchise, but these toys manage to bring out the boy in me despite myself." He smiled at his new companion "I suppose all men have some innate love fro giant destructive robots eh?" Ace wasn't entirely sure what he was supposed to find here but this gentlemans interest certainly seemed to be the first clue he'd had as to why the Finn had sent him here and building a rapport certainly couldn't hurt.
  11. Lid lid lifted silently from the crate and Ace reached in to pull away the batting padding the cargo to reveal what looked to be a pair of rocket packs matching those used in robbery this morning. Ace gingerly pulls one out to examine its design more closely clearly curious as its origins. As he does so Phantom notes that she feels magic eminating from another of the crates this one at the bottom of a taller stack.
  12. Don't worry its only a little death >.> <.< I'll be going now.
  13. You also have to assume a 12 hour cycle rather than 24 :)
  14. No chance with the mighty +3 notice Oblivios boy is oblivious
  15. Give me two notice checks DC 20 and 25 Ace tries to notice something (1d20+7=16) But doesn't.
  16. Just need to get a second ref to give you a look over and approval.
  17. Saw the Half-Blood prince last night. Needless to say it was very good. I say better than Trek my trekkie wife and housemate say otherwise but all of us enjoyed it a great deal. Really brought the book to life well and deffinately set teh stage to knock it out of the park with the next two movies. Ends on a bit of an empire strikes back note but kinda has to if you read the book you know why. Just incase there are those here who have only been folowing the films (Seriously the books are awesome at any age. Read them.) I won't drop any further spoilerish bits :)
  18. Ace drove quickly to the bar but not fast as to attract attention and left the car parked down the block. Walking into the bar he picked a table in the corner and ordered a dry martini before experementing with the toys various bits and bobs. It was an intricate design to be certain well beyond the constructions of his youth, but none the less Ace couldn't help but feel it was somehow lesser despite its obvious technological marvels.
  19. "Well that certainly was different." Ace whispered as he reoriented himself in his new surroundings glancing quickly around and crouching down just in case there was a patrol inside Phantoms earlier scan hadn't revealed. The warehouse was only dimmly lit by light filtering in through filthy skylights high above and the stocked crates and containers left deep shadows sprawling across even that limited light. Ace looked up to Phantom and gesturing to the crates whispered "We need to find some kind of pry bar to get these open I think."
  20. Phalanx was half way to the Pitchoo's crash path when Edges command rang out over the field, pausing only a moment before reversing course to deal with the Freedom-tron. Upon reaching the mammoth structure he takes a deep breath and sets his back to toppling the structure.
  21. He's older and kinda out of shape. He was never really a peak specimine and now even less so is the basic logic.
  22. Mike settles mak into his seat and focuses mostly on the music as the main act opens up. His gaze wanders to Chris and the dangerous woman pawing at him upon ocasion with a look of consternation but his and Marks assuracnes that all is well seem reasonable enough. As Mark hands over the shirt and visor Mike accepts them graciously, "Thanks Mark" and pulls the shirt on over the long sleeved one he was waring for option two of his three universal looks. He sets the visor of the table in front of him and settles back into the concert shooting occasional questioning looks to Alex over her discomfort.
