  1. The rocky fist doesn't even make the seemingly crazed amazon pause as she moves forward. The strong blow just grazes her shoulder and she responds with a savage blow of her own. "Oh, you've got powers. This is gonna be fun!" Deranged, yeah.
  2. Round 1: Toughness save vs DC 29 (1d20+15=35) Going for a bit of simple punchin' action. Round 2: PA 2, AoA 2, Def +4, DC 30 if hit (1d20+9=23) So DC 30 save for you to make. We'll keep up the punchin' for a round or two more then plot? Or do we keep bashing till one of us is down?
  3. Round 1: Toughness vs DC 33 (1d20+15=19) So HPing that. Round 1: HP reroll for Toughness, DC 33 (1d20+15=35) Much better
  4. The big guy's the obvious threat, but looks like there's trouble in the hangar and the terminal as well. And the others I see can probably handle him. Mongrel Angel altered the angle of her dive somewhat aiming to go through one of the great windows. As the dark angel crashed through the large pane of glass she saw the chelonian crook that was crashing through pillars and trying to chow on civilians. Turning hard the winged amazon hurled herself at the turtle terror, striking out with wild abandon. "Time to play! Don't break too easily!" Maenheld playfully called out, the cheerful tone at odds with the brutal violence she was unleashing.
  5. I'm taking ten for Gather Info with Well Informed for a total of 20, so I'd guess I at least know enough about everyone else here to recognise them even if I haven't meet them. Just so people know. Burning a HP to surge and Demoralize it, taking ten for a total of 27. (Unless I don't get to do it mid charge, which would be disappointing) Round 1: Charging PA 5, AoA 4 Unarmed against the Turtle thing. DC 33 if hit. Defence reduced to +0 until next round (1d20+10=22) IC up shortly
  6. Yeah, handled the thugs off-screen (no rolls needed either). Initiative (1d20+1=20) Hot damn. I'll just say she's taking a standard action to Demoralize you. DC 27 to save against. (wants you to have shot at taking a form.)
  7. It would seem that this particular damsel doesn't need rescuing, as when Randy rounds the corner one of the thugs lands in front of him, hard. His two companions lie just a bit further in, at the feet of someone he definetly didn't see run into the alley. A dark skinned woman not much shorter than himself, with wings, mustn't forget the wings. Another one? Must've missed one that was slighlty slower. Mongrel Angel looks at the fourth thug with a perhaps slightly mad look in her eyes. "You're next." She simply states as she starts towards him.
  8. OOC for Mongrel Angel and Carbon's first meeting. There will be punching.
  9. Maenheld was continually amused by how easy it was to find criminals who basically served themselves up on a platter for her. Granted, morphed into a much less imposing 4'11'' brunette and acting like she'd lost her way from the Theatre District certainly helped, as did her fairly constant attractiveness. Both of these traits made her a tempting target, especially late at night here in the Fens. Still, it had taken until it was so late as to almost be early morning before she'd found someone tonight. A trio of thugs had started following her down two streets ago, steadily gaining on the young woman. Now it was time to act like she'd just spotted them, and 'panic'. Pick up speed, note that they're doing the same, break into a run, hear them move all out. An alleyway, perfect. In there, and as expected they've caught up and believe their prey to be cornered. This would be fun.
  10. FINALLY! Gods, that took way to long for me.
  11. Alex didn't have any problem figuring out that Fulcrum wasn't comfortable with her name. Well, the least she could do was try and make sure the taller woman felt a bit more comfortable. "" She replies in flawless persian as takes the offered hand. ""
  12. While to an outside observer the two winged ladies seemed to be simply stareing at each other, in fact a lot of information was being volleyed between the pair. Without the need for relatively cumbersome words they were exchanging information, catching up on what had happened to each other during the two years of experience that seperated the two of them. As the two Jacks caught up with Calico the purple haired pair had covered the major points at least, and were rapidly shifting minor details, aligning their minds more closely. Well, let might as well avoid disappointing the boys. Will be fun too. Both the angels smiled and then the shorter Calico leaped at Mongrel, who caught her double. Both with her arms and her lips as the case happened to be. It didn't take to long for pair to finish though. "Business before pleasure sadly." The supernatural due spoke with an eerie synchronisation. "We need to get moving and stop the Factor Four/Fur and their counterparts."
  13. Initiative (1d20+1=16) Ma teleports in above the site and does her diving entrance thing.
  14. There was trouble at the airport, pandemoneum even from what Alex understood. Which was why she'd teleported in straight away over the place. As she plummeted earthwards the dark angel tried to spot anyone else who had turned up. The winged heroinne dearly wished she could have the others from her fledgling team with her, and not just because Moira's prodiguous strength would be handy against foes this big (and even the redhead would have hard time missing targets like these). But seemed she wouldn't be alone at least. Not that being the sole hero on site would have stopped her from trying, she had died fighting before and figured she might well do so again at some point. No matter, there were lives to save and asses to kick.
  15. And the OOC thread. Post just how you arrive. And then, on to zee thwarting! Our Brave Band of Heroes! (with complemantary TvTropes references) Sarah Prescott - The Hero Carbon - The Lancer Hellion - The Smart Guy Fulcrum - The Big Girl Breakdown - The Dude Wesley Knight - Sixth Ranger
  16. The Hunter Museum of Natural History, a place that in its own way can be said to be second only to the Super Museum out of the cities museums for when it comes to being steeped in super-powered activity. Anonymously funded after the second Terminus Invasion and constructed by Doctor Metropolis and Daedalus, it was certainly off to a good start in that regard. Since then it has periodically been the target of villanous activity, mainly thefts (succesful and not) of items from its noteable collections. Tonight it once again comes under attack, and not from one of the more subtle villains out there. A tall and muscular jackal-headed figure with grayish skin and attire befitting ancient egyptian nobility floats up to the doors of the greek looking building and with a contemptuous sweep of the golden rod in its right hand blasts them of their hinges with a burst of something pitch black. Drifting in and settling down in the lobby in the shadow of the great skeletal T-Rex there the figure again waves his golden rod and out of the assorted shadows and dark areas of the room steps forth a host of smaller and less richly attired figures, clearly warriors. [bg=#707070]"You all know what I desire. Go! Find it for me. my faithful servants."[/bg] At their masters command the warriors split into two groups, one that rushes off to the archeology exhibits and one that stays close to their liege as he sedately strides after the first group. Black Anubis takes one look up at the towering replica in the lobby, smiles, and for a third time brings round his rod. Sinister black tendrils crawl up the steel bones and once they've formed a web of darkest shadows across the mighty frame they seem to sink into it. Though the display seems to have had no effect the villain strides on unbothered. Naturally the alarms are going off all over this, no one seems to have bothered to try and get past those.
  17. We've got to get moving, not everyone is going to be fine without food and drink indefinetly. "Alright boys, time to take stock of the situation. One; we seem to be outside the normal time stream. Two; what seems to be our most likely way out of this situation is no longer here. Three; It seems likely someone has taken the device in question, or it has teleported away of its own volition. I am inclined to believe the former since we can act on that. Four; we can only rely on our own resources, anyone and anything else can be assumed to not have any time to assist us in." As the dark angel spoke she counted off the points on her right hand. "Now, do any of you have a way to track where this thing has gone in these conditions?"
  18. Mongrel uses her Mind Reading AP, Calico forgoes her saving throw. Next post will feature the audiable part of the dialogue the two are going to have, with both letting the other read their minds to ease things along.
  19. Calico simply shrugged, not particularly bothered that her offer had been turned down. There would be other opportunities. Before long the Kirby came into view, the winged cat getting there ahead of the two Jacks. Seated at the base of the crystal spire with her back leaning against it was to be found a purple haired, chocolate skinned woman with a laptop nestled between her lotus position legs. "Heya!" Calico called out as she landed nearby and walked up to her double. Mongrel looked up and saw a sight she'd only glimpsed partially in a mirror once; an anthropomorphic feline version of herself. Granted, she had seen it before and wasn't unversed in the matters of the multiverse so the dark angel took it in stride. Closing down her laptop and tucking in away in one of her 'special pockets' before standing up the supernatural mongrel gently prodded at her seeming doubles mind, looking for confirmation of her suspicions. She found it.
  20. "Great, I take it you can see out from behind those glasses of yours." Alex stod up as she talked, having remained seated while her host did her rapid change. Shame I couldn't see through that blurring. Ah well. "I was thinking Lincoln, it's simply been a little while since I went through there. Just how do you get around? Do you use a vehicle, fly, hoof it or even teleport?"
  21. Congratulations on making through another year.
  22. Alex really appreciated Moira's attempts to lighten the mood, but she was still worried and that worry was creeping into the dark angels eyes. When the redhead positioning herself in the taller womans lap Maenheld embraced her gently but firmly. The self confessed part succubus seemed afraid to grip tighter for fear of hurting her lover, and afraid of loosening up in case she lost her. "No on both counts. I mean, full blooded succubi, and some half-blooded, drain life energy from individuals through kissing, and other intimacy. I can't do that, though I might learn how one day. And I wouldn't hurt you, I care about you way to much to do that."
  23. Alex listened intentively at what her host had to say. Atlantis, that's a bit outside my area of expertise. Will be needing to do some research then. "Well, fortunately I do know. My knowledge is more theoretical than practical, but I can certainly help. Though Atlantean artifacts are a bit outside my field of expertise, I can always do some research. And as for combat influencing combat skills, that's pretty much a given. I'll gladly help in any case. For tonight though I figured we might try a paired patrol, see how the other operates that kind of thing. You up for it?"
