  2. Round 1: Toughness vs DC 29 (1d20+6=23, 1d20+6=7, 1d20+6=10) Round 1: Toughness vs DC 29 (1d20+6=16, 1d20+6=23) Two minions still standing, though bruised and stunned.
  3. As Wesley's Glowing Eyes of Doom lit up there was a noticeable change in the mood of the scene; now all three parties knew that at least one of the others had powers. While a lot of street criminals would by now have gone headlong into fight or flight reaction, most likely flight, these six don't seem too fazed by this revelation. Instead a low growl can be heard issuing from half a dozen throats, and not the pale imitation most humans can muster but something much more like the canine 'true' version. They all seem to bulk out slightly, and within a moment both of the heroes present realize that they seem to be at least imitations of werewolves as lupine features merge with those of the men. "Grrr, get 'im." The seeming alpha growls and three of the others join him in advancing on the brave newcomer. The last two keep an eye on their 'prey'. Just a few more moments thinks Alex as she subtly moves herself so that she'll have no problem launching an attack of her own.
  4. Finally got the post up.
  5. Mongrel Angel picked herself up from the ground and dusted herself off briefly. She spends a few moments looking around, noting the muted colours and all around stagnation of movement. "Alright boys, any ideas about what's happened?"
  6. "Yes. And if we are to go by this nifty little piece of kit the doctor provided my likely delicious doppleganger is," Calico examined the homing device for a moment while she talked. "that way. The feline angel pointed pretty much straight at dome of the Kirby Museum of Fine Arts. "You want a lift Jack? Either off you?"
  7. Quick and slightly dirty recruitment for an Adventure that will stretch for more than one scene. Looking for anything between 3 to maybe 6 heroes for this one, as a rule of thumb preferential treatment (in selection that is) will be given to new players/characters. PL 10s will have it easiests (both for them and for me), though nothing is barring PL 6s from joining. Looking to start this up before the end of next week, or possibly this one depending how many show an interest and how much time I can scrape together.
  8. The winged feline merely smiled at Jack's deadpan delivery, then the furless swordsman recognised her voice. "Ah, I see you know my 'counterpart'." Calico replied. "Name's Calico Angel. In brief we're two, of several, heroes from what you might know as Ani-Earth. We're here to stop a bunch of villains from our dimension. Since they've probably gotten in touch with their counterparts we figured it might be a good idea to see if we couldn't get help from ours." She flew over to Jackalope once the antlered rabbit had collected the grapple. "Which is were you come in my steamy sword swinger. This is your counterpart, Jackalope of all Blades." Calico finished.
  9. "Way too many. I just can't think of the name of anyone who'd be interested in doing this kind of thing." Mongrel Angel said from outside the window. "Could be someone who's interested in cocoon, chrysalis, and who's got the connections and/or resources to get their hands on a piece of tech, or services, from someone who could do it." "I could tap what contacts I have to see if I can dredge up something while you run your tests. I'm not exactly the sciency type."

  11. Right, I'm the only one who needs to actually roll it seems. Notice check (1d20+10=29) And I make, so I don't have to worry making my IC post. Which I shall not get to grips with.
  12. A bit short, but certainly better than nothing. And I need to catch up on a lot of threads, so I felt it best to just get something up sooner rather than later.
  13. "I've got him, you, whatever." Calico Angel called to Jackalope as she swooped in to keep the fur-less Jack from become a piece of modern-street art. Diving hard she managed to get to the falling human in time to snatch him up, and to break out of her dive before she left a hole in the concrete. "Hello handsome, drop by often do we?" Said the masked feline.
  14. Mongrel Angel - Inititiative (1d20+1=15) Mooks - Inititiative (1d20+4=17) Leader- Initiative (1d20+8=14) Initiative Order Wesley - 18 [Healthy, No stat Effects, 3HP] Mooks - 17 [5/5 - Healthy, No stat Effects] Mongrel - 15 [Healthy, No stat Effects, 3HP] Leader - 14 [Healthy, No stat Effects] You'll get to act as soon as I get an IC post up detailing what the others' reaction to your glowy eyes happens to be.
  15. Mongrel Angel visits Divine to discuss some, things.
  16. Thugs: Basically human, with some rather strange overlays, and what seems like the shifty nature of, well, shapeshifters. (I'd say you've got just enough experience with magic to recognise hints of that) Said overlays seem canine in nature, and not the domestic version. Currently they all feature slightly improved muscles and reflexes from the human baseline. The 'boss' seems to have a stronger version of whatever the others are on. The lady: She's pretty much only human in her shape, her 'essence' seems to be a rather thorough mix. Parts of what you recognise seem to be demonic, and a few streaks (or whatever) that seem kinda similar to Grim's fey nature. The impression is slightly chaotic, some parts of her make-up seem to contradict others. Overall she's in mighty fine health though, very healthy indeed. Initiative might be in order. Five 'tough' minions (can't take then to attack them, and they need to fail by 5 or more to be knocked out). The 'Boss' is a full character.
  17. Things were going to schedule when unexpectedly someone stepped in to stop the thugs. Praise by common heroism, though now I have to keep him intact too. Wait, isn't that, what was his name again? Ah, Knight. So no real problem then, he can take care of himself. The apparent leader of gang, a particularly tall muscular man, took a step towards the newcomer. "And what are you gonna do 'bout it?"
  18. It took a few moments for the sight of Moira's bloody shoulders and her words to sink in. While they did so Maenheld began to salivate slightly and certain, urges and desires. The moment she realized what she was feeling, and what had been said, Alex didn't feel particularly good about those urges. She knew she'd have to talk with Moira about it at some point, at least the Olympian wouldn't reject her outright due to something like that, but for now she had to stop the pain of her most important person. "Aw shit!" Began Alex as she launched into a string of what was likely profanities, but Moira couldn't place the language, or languages. As she swore the currently wingless angel summoned up silvery fire that drapped her hands, which she moved over the wounds on her lovers arms and shoulders. Within a few moments they were again whole and unharmed, though a bit bloody. "Sorry I didn't notice sooner honey." She cried out when done as she embraced the shorter woman, bloody clothing be damned; it wasn't like her shirt had was going to be of much use given the bloody tears in the back of it. "And yeah, you're right. We should take her away first. But there's something odd about it all. Talona's not particularly nice most of the time, but this doesn't seem like something she'd do. And she seemed a bit, off."
  19. Right, for MA I have three simple edits I'd like made. 1: 1pp spent for 4 more ranks of Knowledge: Arcane Lore; should now read as 10 (+11) 2: 1pp spent to raise Sense Motive to 14 (+16) 3: Accurate Attack Edits done by Geez3r
  20. An Olympian rarely has any trouble asserting dominance, and the daughter of its most prominent deity of war even less so in a battle. The avian champion visibly wavers, though she still strikes at the goddess nearly as fiercely as before. Again her claws draw blood, this time scoring lines across Moira's arms. Alex had by now noticed that Talona wasn't behaving like she'd expect. Granted, she hadn't expected that the atavistic avian would apparently try to murder her while she was enjoying a bit of time with Moira, but even apart from that something felt odd about the whole thing. Best to end this quickly in any case. In a moment the still wingless Mongrel was beside Divine and throwing a far more ferocious version of the kick she'd marked Moira with less than a minute earlier. Without the restraint from earlier the blow crashed into the bird-woman's mid-section and threw her across the clearing and into one of the sturdier trees present. The bones in Talona's left wing broke with a sickening crunch, and it was merciful that the avian was already unconscious when that happened. "Ouch, I think she'll stay down for now. You okay Strawberry?" Maenheld asked, not having turned her gaze from their opponent yet she didn't know if her dear Moira had been hurt.
  21. Talona can't make that DC without Fiat, so she's Demoralized, she attacks Divine Round 3: PA 2, Demoralized, DC 26 if hit. (1d20+7=24) Hits, and from the already rolled Toughness Save Divine takes another bruise MA has had enough and steps to hit Talona with all she's got at the moment. Round 3: All-out PA 5/5, DC 33 it hit (1d20+9=16) Talona can't make that save particularly well, she tries thoughRound 3: Toughness Save vs DC 33 (1d20+6=18) Fails by 15, so she's unconscious. The Knockback sends her into a nearby tree. We're now out of rounds.
  22. I'm interested in continuing, I'm just a bit bogged down. And my brain keeps seizing up when I get to posting here. Will knock something out before the end of the week at least. Sorry.

    From a dream

That's some mighty high praise coming from you Shaen.
  24. There a few beings that can resist Moira's will when the godling puts her full force of personality behind her actions, Talona isn't one of them. The birdwoman screeches and dives down towards the redhead. She strikes the woman head on, her claws digging into her targets shoulders. But Moira remains standing, the daughter of Ares doesn't fall easily. Alex shakes off the pain and stands up, her soul-fire scouring her wounds and mending them as she does so. Within moments there's not a mark left on her body, though her torn and bloodied clothes still show that the woman had been hurt earlier.
  25. Talona can't beat that DC without fiat, so she doesn't even try. Round 2: PA 5, Charge vs Divine, Crit 19-20, DC 29 if hit (1d20+8=28) Alex stands up (move action) switches her array to Healing (free action) and uses it (standard). She can't fail her recovery check and is fully restored.
