  2. While the swashbucklers verbally trash the pair of firebrands the angels seperate and unveil why they've been a bit slower to react. The winged pair had been channeling their soulfire into their hands and as they leapt into the air they fired off a pair of massive blasts of hellfire at the fiery ones. "BURN!" While the flying duo were less verbose than their allies their erie synchronisation seemed to hold.
  3. Straight forward blast, followed by move action into the air. Calico: Round 1: PA 5 AoA 5, DC 33 if hit [Hellfire Blast] (1d20+9=12)Okay, I don't think that hits even with the Feint so I'm HPing that one Round 1: PA 5 AoA 5, DC 33 if hit [Hellfire Blast] [HP Reroll (1d20+9=28) much better. Mongrel: Round 1: PA 5, AoA 5 DC 33 if hit [Hellfire Blast] (1d20+9=24) Aw, what the hell. Surging to blast the snakes again. Calico: Round 1: Surge PA 5 AoA 5 DC 33 if hit (1d20+9=18) - Might hit, if he's stunned by the first attack Mongrel: Round 1: Surge PA 5, AoA 5 DC 33 if hit (1d20+9=23) - Ought to hit even without feint or stun So Calico's down to 2HP and Mongrel is at 3HP
  4. Angry half-human scions of demon princes make for dangerous foes as the warriors facing him learn very quickly. Those in front of him don't really stand a chance of evading the waves of furious hellfire and instead collapsed where they'd been standing as the searing pain overwhelmed them. Few of their compatriots fared any better, one who had been close enough to Fulcrum that infernal flames only singed him was extraordinarily lucky however. And the one who faced off against the swordswoman on the balcony at least saw it coming and managed to duck in time to merely get a slightly toasty backside. Their master however is unharmed, a bit warm perhaps but still not impaired in any way for the fight now starting.
  5. First up, something I should already have rolled. Round 1: Miss chance against Sarah Prescott DC 5 (less is a miss) (1d20=15) Round 1: Reflex Save vs DC 19 (1d20+7=14, 1d20+7=9, 1d20+7=25, 1d20+7=15, 1d20+7=14, 1d20+7=15, 1d20+7=22) Okay, those who failed the reflex can't make the toughness save, so as good minions they fall down. Only one those facing Fulcrum and the one by Sarah even have chance at making the Toughness Save Round 1: Toughness vs Hellfire burst (1d20+7=24, 1d20+7=20), which they actually manage to do. BA; Round 1: Reflex vs DC 19 (1d20+5=24) makes the ref save and Round 1: Toughness vs DC 20 (1d20+12=23) the toughness save as well. Rex hasn't moved yet, and would in fact have forfeited his Ref save if Hellion was a bit less descriminating. But since he purposefully leaves the museum itself untouched, and Rex still looks fully like an exhibit, I'd say he's untouched. Warrior Mooks: 22; Two / Seven; No status effects Hellion: 16; Bruised x2; No Status Effects; 3 HP Wesley Knight: 15; Healthy; No Status Effects; 3 HP Black Anubis: 14; Healthy; No Status Effects; No Fiats T-Rex: 14; Healthy; No Status Effects; No Fiats Sarah Prescott: 13; Healthy; No Status Effects; 1 HP Breakdown: 11; Healthy; No Status Effects; 3 HP Carbon: 5; Bruised; Stone Form; 0 HP Fulcrum: 3; Healthy; No Status Effects; 1 HP Wesley is up, and so will an IC post be shortly.
  6. Mongrel Angel kept up the pummeling, but with the little voice at the back of her head rapidly getting louder it was only a matter of time before she listened to it and stopped. Unfortanetly for the stony guy she was fighting that only happened the same moment that a blow which manages to knock her heavy foe unconscious hits home. Damn. I know I recognise this guy, or at least his description, from somewhere. Hmm, could it be? Carbon? That new guy who... Yeah, probably is. Damnation. Cursing in some strange language underneath her breath Alex takes a few moments to adjust her looks before kneeling down and using the healing capacity of her soulfire to revive him. The dark angel looks a lot more in control, calm and collected, and certainly sorry. "Okay, terribly sorry about that. I, guess I lost myself for a moment there. Anything still hurting?"
  7. Congratulations on making it through another year, hope the next will be at least as good.
  8. To quote the book, specifically the first sentence detailing Flatfooted in the chapter on Combat, under the heading of Initiative. Simply, but a little counterintuitive if you've come into the system from DnD. As for what you know about Black Anubis, here it is. And yes, you're up.
  9. The Mooks spring into action (they're good, but still just minions) DC 23 damage for those hit Round 1: Two attacks vs Carbon; DC 23 (1d20+6=17, 1d20+6=26) - Two hits on Carbon Round 1: Two Attacks vs Fulcrum (1d20+6=15, 1d20+6=8) - One hit on Fulcrum, but it just bounces off her Impervious skin Round 1: Two attacks vs Hellion (1d20+6=17, 1d20+6=19) - Two hits on Hellion Round 1: 1 attack against Sarah Prescott (1d20+6=21) - Can be a hit, depending on the Reflective Field
  10. The villain and his entourage seem stunned for a moment, quite possibly by the sheer number of heroes that spring out of the woodwork. The jackalheaded guards are the first to visibly react. Without waiting for their masters command they leap into action. One pair bring their swords down on the stony interloper who struck down three of their number even as he arrived, their antique looking blades and corded muscles up to the task of hurting even a foe made out of stone. Two more leap at the largest of the new arrivals, the flying giantess clearly a danger. Against the mighty persian's skin however their blades are not enough, and even though one strikes her thigh it simply bounces off without even scratching her. Another pair of the swordwielding warriors pounce on Hellion, quite likely something about his cambion nature makes him another high priority target. The last of the guards has spotted the swordswoman up on the balcony and simply leaps up to meet her, his sword raised in challenge for a moment before whirling into action trying to bring down this foe.
  11. Now why would I want to kill you? Right, out of rounds now I'd say. MA is going to spend a moment jogging her memory of where she's seen/heard of Carbon (a 20 on Gather Info with Well Informed gives her something at least). Then she'll use her Healing AP on you, given that you can't fail the resulting check I'd say you're back to full health. Incidentally, you get 1HP for the complication of the fight itself (you wouldn't have been allowed to spend it during said complication though) and 1 for getting knocked unconscious. So you're now at 2HP rather than the 1 you had at the start. IC will follow before long.
  12. Depending on your point of view the flight was either over far to quickly, or not quite as fast as it could have been. Either way the two ladies, with one more in the 'luggage', arrived at the Gentle Manor. Alex gentle put down Moira on her own two feet before knocking. "We should only have to wait a" The door opened. "minute." In the doorway stod what could probably be best described as a butler of the old school. "Welcome. Please enter, the master will be along in a moment." And with that said, the man before them seems to fade away. "Well, as he said." The winged heroinne seems to take the ghostly butler in stride and heads inside. As soon as the redheaded woman followed her the door closed behind them out of the air in front of them stepped a very tall, rather thin, elderly gentleman. "Greetings lady Maenheld, and the wonderous lady Morley." He said, bowing deeply towards the pair and then straightening up. "Welcome to my home, I am Wilhelm von Treissen."
  13. Nope; you're stunned. And as such you lose all your Dodge bonus to defence, and take a -2 penalty on top of that.
  14. Round 3: PA 5, AoA 5, DC 33 if hit (1d20+9=13) Round 3: Will save to stop the pummeling; DC 15 (1d20+10=16), and she listens to that little voice in the back of her head. IC up in a bit
  15. Now then, let's see. Black Anubis: Initiative (1d20+2=14) Warrior Mooks: Initiative (1d20+3=22) Shadow Infused T-Rex: Initiative (1d20+2=14) So it goes like this: Warrior Mooks: 22; Seven / Seven; No status effects Hellion: 16; Healthy; No Status Effects; 3 HP Wesley Knight: 15; Healthy; No Status Effects; 3 HP Black Anubis: 14; Healthy; No Status Effects; No Fiats T-Rex: 14; Healthy; No Status Effects; No Fiats Sarah Prescott: 13; Healthy; No Status Effects; 1 HP Breakdown: 11; Healthy; No Status Effects; 3 HP Carbon: 5; Healthy; Stone Form; 1 HP Fulcrum: 3; Healthy; No Status Effects; 1 HP I'll get an IC post up, in the morning. (Took longer catching up than planned, and a bit RL came in the way.)
  16. "Corner of 32nd and I? Think you can get there with any ease?" Alex inquired as her form flowed and shifted. Within moments she had lost a good nine inches, shortened and effectively bleached her hair and let her skin tone shift to that of a 'white'. Her eyes stayed the same though even while her wings melded into her back, seemingly forming a back to the t'shirt she wore. Out of, somewhere, the now rather a lot shorter woman pulled a jacket which she pulled on while listening to any comfirmation.
  17. "Ooh!" The dark amazon cooed as she saw the bruises starting to fade. In one part Alex's mind something trying to make itself heard, but it was drowned out; this was her time to unwind damn it! In any case the winged woman doesn't stopp pummeling her now prone target.
  18. Lukos wasn't he only one to react to the question regarding silver. "If I wanted them dead I'd torn off their heads or ripped out their souls at the start." The dark angel cooly stated as she conducted a closer examination of the one she was holding. "The bleeding's stopped, but that's just the few skin breaks scabbing over I'd say. No pupil movement, and the jawbone still seems to be as loose as ever. I'd say they're either not regenerating or doing rather slowly." Alex concluded and turned to look at the two men. "So, I'd rather not just leave them here. We could either call for the authorities, or have me shuttle-port them over to some place that can hold them. The later'll take a minute or two though, plus explanation time on the other end."
  19. It hits Round 1: Toughness vs DC 28 fireblast from Pyrethon (1d20+15=28) and does squat
  20. Congratulations at lasting through the last year, now buckle down because a new one just started for you.
  21. I'm having Mongrel delay until Calico's turn. Let the fire snake do his thing.
  22. Due to real life circumstances I'll be less able to post starting from Monday the 19 and continuing for 5 weeks forward. Just giving everyone a heads up in good time.
  23. Calico: Initiative (1d20+1=11) Mongrel: Initiative (1d20+1=17)
  24. Round 3: PA 2, AoA 2, DC 30 if hit. Defence +4 until next turn. (1d20+11=23) Simply hitting Carbon again. IC up shortly.
  25. <"Thank you Mona."> Alex said while sharing the view of the city with Fulcrum. <"Well, for one there is this wonderful view. Both of the city and of your own stately form."> It might not be wrong to say that the dark angel was laying it on thick with the charm. <"And that segues into the second thing which has brought me here. I have recently begun to expand my contacts within the super community, and quite simply you strike me as someone I would like to know at least a little more about. Cape or not. Powers or not. You, as a person.">
