  1. The moment Ashley hits the shut down the mechanical aspects of the course grinds to a halt, and the hard light projections vanish in the blink of an eye. From near the centre of the room she could now hear Aiko's voice, the blue haired girl speaking at a rather rapid pace. "StupidstupidstupidAlwayskeeponeseyesonthecourseNeedtoadjustthepoliteness/ greetingsroutinestoavoidasimialrincidentinthefutureDamnIseemtobespeakingoutloudMusthaveshakensomethinglooseduringoneofthehitsShouldbeadjustablelike-" so. Will need to show a bit of trust in Culdis. At least she seems to genuinely care, I'll just have to help that holds after tonight. The gynoid pushed herself up left hand, while using her right hand to hold in anything that might decide to fall out of her eyesocket. Fortunately nothing had yet, but that was simply because it all seemed to have gotten pushed inwards into her skull cavity. "Ah, Culdis-san. Thank you for shutting it down. It looks worse than it is. But, there is something you probably know." Karakuri's voice was calm and collected, but with an undercurrent of trepidation. The blue haired one was currently favouring showing her undamaged left side towards the brunette, shielding her damage from view with a combination of her hair, her right hand and the angle.
  2. Alright, mechanically things have just gone as follows. Fiat to hit and have Aiko fail her toughness by a set amount: She's now Injured and stunned (on the up side she got a HP for it) She then falls through a riot of moving obstacles, not able to make the reflex save due to being unconscious it's straight to the damage save: Toughness Save vs Training Room gone riot DC 23 (1d20+7=20, 1d20+7=26). So she takes another level of Injured. Fortunately the floor is made to absorb anything like her body hitting it, so no save needed there. Rycon gets a HP for the complication inherent in all this (probably won't need it in the long run, but still she deserves it). Let's see a DC 25 Acrobatics check to get to the shut down switch in one round, or a DC 20 if you take it slow and stretch it over two (or more) rounds, if you fail this check you don't make any significant progress. Also, a DC 15 (easy) Reflex Save to avoid getting smacked by a DC 20 damage effect each round you keep it up. Aiko: Injured x 2, Stunned, 2HP Rycon: Healthy, 4HP
  3. At least Impossible was a decent light work-out even though the moves weren't quite challenging for her, truly inhuman flexibility had its advantages, but she did have to stay focused to make them properly given that now it was just about all taking place in midair with the holds, bars and hops constantly moving. And if there was a pattern to them, she hadn't had time to discern it yet, so it was actually a bit exhilirating. Twist to the left, snag that hop with my left foot. Swing, tense up, push of with right foot. Catch bar with right hand, twist round to avoid second set of bars. For a human it would have been stressfully fast, her own heightened speed certainly helped her there. It was simple, uncomplicated. Or at least it was up till Ashley Culdis entered the room. Karakuri's first instinctive response was to greet her, this was not necessarily an intelligent or wise move in her situation. "Ah, hello Culdis-san!" The blue haired young woman didn't seem the least out of breath despite the fact that her level of activity should be making itself felt after five minutes, and she had already spent hours prior in what should have been tiring exercise. However she had looked over at the brunette as she entered, and that meant that she was blindsided as she snapped her eyes forward again, and took the end of one swift moving bar right in her right eye. Her own moment and that of the bar, combined with the small surface area of the impact and the vulnerable zone struck meant things suddenly looked very nasty. As the gynoid fell towards the luckily padded floor she caught a few more glancing blows before landing a heap, her head and the damaged portion of her face turned away from the newly arrived Rycon. But just because Karakuri was out of the thick of things didn't mean she was out of danger; the zooming obstacles still occured down at floor level. And to get to the emergency shut down Ashley would have to dodge at least a few.
  4. Alex stepped out of one of her portals next to the Doctor's flying piece of furniture. The mixed breed angel caught about half of what was said, but that was enough for her to determine that some assistance might be in order. "I can fix that, one moment." The dark angel laid her hands over the most obvious of Geckoman's burns and quickly began to channel her soul-fire, tweaking it to heal. "You'll be fine in a moment." She said as soft silverly fire washed over the battered teen's body, as it passed it left the costume damaged but the hero hale and whole. Looking over to the young brunette she inquired in german. "
  5. Mongrel Angel was unused to being late, usually she arrived well in time. But for once she had had a little trouble finding where she was supposed to go, and it was only when she'd spotted the good Doctor Archeville that she'd known. So now she arrived a little after the good german and his persian speaking girlfriend, as usual dressed in street clothes rather than any form of costume; wings, purple hair and an amazonian physique tended to make her stand out regardless. Casting a glance over the place Alex noted the spread of heroes present, and tried to spot a decent place to land. Espying a lady she recognised after a moment's though as Gossamer the dark angel figures it as good a place as any, what with there being only one person in a decent space, and touches down a few metres from the heroinne with the bountiful hair. "Ah, hello. Anything started yet? Oh, where are my manners. Alex Maenheld, usually called Mongrel Angel. How do you do?" The winged amazon extended a hand for a handshake towards Gossamer.
  6. Will do, and I'm going to try and make a decent page for Aiko before the month is up; for now I don't spend 7-8 hours a day studying!
  7. Requisite OOC Thread Aiko is taking 10 on her Acrobatics Checks, for a total of 37; easily enough to beat the current difficulty.
  8. An advantage of not needing sleep that Aiko hadn't been long in realizing was the fact that amenities became readily available during the night when the great majority of people were asleep. Granted, she was not the only one like this at Claremont; her roommate was one example of this. For one there was a noticeable lessened strain on the net, and now she had been granted access to the Doom Room after two weeks. It was a trust thing she realized, by trusting her with access to the training chamber it was hoped that she might come to trust them a bit more. And in truth she also realized that it was working, somewhat. After all the room did record everything Karakuri did while testing herself inside it, but at least it was honest about it and readily coughed up at least most of what it acquired on her; it did this for everyone as a way to help improvement after all. So now the gynoid was running through an acrobatics course at half past two in the morning, world champion level, and finding it easy. She'd started out with expert and after an hour found herself having a flawless score; that had just been a "warm up". The blue haired robot was still performing flawlessly, but at least at this level she got a little useful feedback as opposed to none. Another thirty minutes or so and she'd see if the setting labelled "impossible"did live up to its name or if she would need to offer to improve on it in order to get anything like a challenge.
  9. Aiko was another quiet one in the group, not exactly a student but still Claremont affliated, she was there as much because her roommate was as due to the fact that it had been 'suggested' that it might do her some good to get out a bit. She only half bothered to pay attention to Mr. Elphinstone, but she did constantly keep updating her own folders on just about anything said, shown or mentioned. Details like the guide's possession of two PhD's and the visit from a timetraveler were squirreled away, possibly to be of use some day. "Not much Culdis-san. Until today I had neither visited or had any reason seek out information regarding the museum."
  10. Star, that's a 25, not a 15, due to the fact that when you spend a HP for a reroll and get 10 or less on the die you add 10.
  11. They're already energy, so technically they can hit insubstantial enemies
  12. Okay, I really shouldn't feel pleased about that. Alright it does mean I have more of chance to "score", but she needs help first and foremost. The brunette moves up to the redhead and gently reaches out and touches her shoulder. "Hey, that doesn't matter. You're hurt, emotionally if not physically, and scared and I want to help; that is what matters." Alex then reaches out with both her arms and gingerly embraces the taller woman. "He's obviously a bit of jerk, and a stupid one at that. To leave such a beautiful girl here like that. Now, let's try and get you home alright?"
  13. You always start with 1 HP, Luck gives you more
  14. Huh? Didn't see her before, but oh-damn she does look good. Beautiful, not in Moira's class but then no one is really. Right, she's scared, play it with a bit of confidence. "Oh? Yeah, just stopped to think for a moment. I'm just a little lost, trying to find the place." The short brunette looks at the somewhat taller redhead, noting their similar clothes among, other, things. Damn, is there really a convention or something going on related to Heyzel? Right, just improvise. Mind probing is a bad idea right now, would be terribly impolite. "You alright? You sound a little shaky." Alex moves closer to the girl, affecting a concerned look on her face. Genuine enough, the girl did sound scared. Brave, but still frightened. Hopefully she was just lost.
  15. Right, for the record MA is having her Supernatural Attractiveness at half effect at the moment.
  16. Alex was out and about like so often before, a less threatening form than her own amazonesque body assumed as a way to draw out those of criminal intent. A petite four foot ten rather than the dark angel's usual five foot eleven, white skin rather than brown, hair brown in colour and not purple. Still a very attractive individual, one who would cause a criminal to take an unnecesarry risk, do something he might not otherwise do. At least the criminals have been a bit quieter since the invasion. Or it might just be a statistical anomaly. Or just maybe my efforts are having an effect. Whatever the case Maenheld ducked into an alleyway, seemingly to catch a breath away from direct view. Not that all that many people were around in this part of the district that would pay much attention, but still. As it happens, it was by the building on whose roof a certain newly made vampire rested.
  17. Right, moving on ahead (wants postage). Sorry Moira, but it's not like you can't jump right in again once you get the chance.
  18. How to explain? "The reason I'm so thankful for you sending me telepathic messages is that it kinda confirms that I'm more than a souped up killer sexbot"? No way I'm putting it like that. Aiko signed mentally. When Eve touches her arm the gynoid halts immediatly and snaps her focus around. Hunter? Well, could be a lot worse. For the moment Karakuri is content to stop for a moment as Martel-san wishes, it'd give her just a little more time to figure out how what she should say.
  19. Additional points are awarded at the end of the month. For now let's just handwave it if necessary.
  20. I believe he's referring to those from postage and Rep-Sheet and the like. The ones that get added at the end of the month.
  21. "He's pretty cool, he does lots of computer hacking and stuff." Keep calm, he doesn't deserve a beating over that. Likely ignorance rather than malice. Mark's casual line causes Aiko to go rigid, anyone observant enough could notice that her hands had curled up into pretty tight fists. After a moment the gynoid's quick mental processes had worked it through enough that she manages to reply. "No. I have not."
  22. The moment Eve's words enter Aiko's head she looks at first puzzled. It's faint, but could it be... Then she looks stunned, absolutely poleaxed in fact. Her eyes mist up as the gynoid's mind rushes through the implications. After a few moments of standing in a daze the blue haired one suddenly grabs Martel in a powerful embrace. "Thank you! Thank you." She cries into the white hair of the shorter woman. "Ah, I am sorry Martel-san. I will explain what I mean by that on the way." The gynoid releases the young psionic as she apologises, now a smile is quite evident on her face despite the damp. Before anything else can delay them Aiko starts off towards the main entrance, making sure not to go any faster than Eve seems comfortable with.
  23. Alright, Mongrel Angel will pop in; she patrols the Fens irregularly. Two quick points though. 1: At the moment Crom is, mechanically, only proficient in one language. Might want to look into getting more if you want him to both be able to speak whatever celtic language he's currently singing in and communicate effectively with the general populace. 2: Could one perhaps have a translation of whatever it is he's singing? Some of us have spent points on knowing all languages and would appreciate knowing just what he's merrily exclaiming.
