  1. He still ought to understand the difference between a sparring match and a full blown battle...
  2. Being a student of history specializing the relevant period I've got to say I kinda agree. Romans in war were stubborn, disciplined (at least in theory), and emphasized teamwork over personal skill and valour; doesn't really fit when describing Legionnaire.
  3. Mongrel Angel is at first a bit irritated that their bout is cut short, but after a few moments of thought gets over it. Seeing that the Emissary had things well in hand she refrains from lending a hand, she might just end up getting in the way. Just as she concluded this Archeville came over and inquired how badly she'd been hurt. "Not to badly I think." Contorting herself slightly to look at the cut close up the short lass stares at it for a moment, then licks it clearing away some of the blood obscuring the actual cut. "Hmm, it's only just deep enough to be actually called a wound in my opinion. I might be able to fix it on my own, but that would be tiring."
  4. Acquired Book of Magic today, looks to be good considering the frequency with which I tend to play mystical/mythological characters.
  5. Let's see now The Core Book (2nd Ed) Ultimate Power Masterminds' Manual Freedom City Setting (2nd Ed) Lockdown Instant Superheroes

I would like to spend Mongrel Angel's pp on boosting Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Sense Motive with one rank each. Updated by VM
  7. I believe he might be waiting for you to move the action forward slightly to better facilitate any heroes actually responding to the scene. In any case it's possible I'll bring Mongrel Angel into this; should prove a fairly quick event unless things get ridiculously out of hand.
  8. Name: Exile PL: 11 (152) Attack: +8 Def: +8 (+2 Flatfooted) Damage: +12 (<+15 boosted) Tough: +12 Fort: +8 Reflex: +3 Will: +9
  9. "Annoying regen"? For one her only regeneration is the ability to come back from the dead without fail, after a day or so. Secondly she hasn't even mentioned that she can do so. You could just go with Power Attack when it comes to overcoming my Impervious Toughness; a single point shifted from attack to damage would suffice.

I believe he can only go for increased duration since more power would put him above his current PL limitations.
  11. You've currently only got one rank of Rage listed on your sheet, and I do believe a second rank spent on effect would put you above your PL in any case. Ah well, I rolled so poorly in any case that I'm spending a Hero Point of my own. Adopting an Aggressive Stance, sacrificing defence for attack. You've got a DC 23 Toughness save to make, keep in mind the -1 penalty for being bruised.
  12. Strength of five men or not Mongrel Angel simply isn't human and merely gets a shallow cut across her left forearm as she instinctively bats away the incoming sword blow. While not as clearly enraged as her opponent the smaller girl opts as well to go on the offensive in an attempt to end it quickly. Her wild strike would have missed but for the fact that the raging warrior in front isn't paying as much attention to his defence as normal.
  13. ...What? I believe you've misunderstood something. When you spend a Hero Point for a reroll you roll again as normal, except that if the die shows a number between 1-10 you add another ten the result. So in your case the worst result you could end up with on your save would be 17; merely a bruise.
  14. Check the next to last post on the page, I needed to do some quick explaining on her powers. It's mentioned there, in fact angels turn up as the first in the listing of the main "contributers" to her bloodline.
  15. She's as much of an Angel as well, but I'm planning on having all her Healing done as Extra Effort or similarly hampered for a fair while.
  16. Mongrel Angel's eyes snap between the rather, disabled, creature at her feet and the two males with rather painful looking acid burns. Her thoughts likewise shift between either making damn sure the "acid-bag" is dead and trying to do something to help with treating those injuries. Gathering her soulfire within her hands her mind suddenly stumbles upon something which might heal the two in front of her. Putting thought into action she sweeps up her arms and sends what seems like a wave of silverish white fire over the burned ones.
  17. I'm using Extra Effort to power stunt the following off my Soulfire Healing 4 [Others Only [-1 Flaw], Area: Cone [+1 Extra], Selective Attack [+1 Extra] in an effort to heal our two injured characters. I'm not countering the fatigue yet though.
  18. As her opponent came rushing at her Mongrel Angel she tries to ready herself for the coming sword blow. When it comes she barely manages to sidestep the wild swing. Well, at least I made him angry it seems. Her own strike leaves something to be desired as it barely glances the curved, rectangular shield the larger man carries.
  19. You could just check the link in my signature; it's there for a reason after all.
  20. Impervious Toughness 7 keeps me from being bothered by Legionnaires attacks, as yet.
  21. Strong and accurate though the throw may be it merely skids over the skin of the silver-haired lass when it strikes her abdomen, not even bruising her. Not wasting any time now Mongrel Angel retaliates with a blast of soulfire.
  22. If I could make it run again I'd still be playing Masters of Magic now and then.
  23. Guess I'll just have to wait to see what the our good Roman does, cause it'll likely affect Mongrel Angels first action in the fight.
  24. Hardly my best post, or dice rolls, but it'll serve I hope.
  25. The, thing, dropping onto the shapeshifter from above surprises Mongrel Angel somewhat. Within moments though she's moving and trusting somewhat in her own durability tries to grab the attacker intending to throw it to the side.
