And in his own native time he may well have fought against agents of Pluto (Hades) or Medea, or magically-enhanced Norse Berserkers, or Celtic Druids, or etc. etc. etc. He may not know "superhero," but he should know of "magic" and "the gods."

  5. Archevile lashes out with the weird tech-staff again, but misses by a mile. Unseen by his two allies, Archeville flies back five feet, then starts "pacing" in the air, going 'left' ten feet, then 'right' ten feet, then 'left' five feet, keeping his eyes locked on the tech-monk.

  15. "Vas ist-?" Archeville blurted as he saw the shields go down. Raven's voice over the comm soon told him why, and turning to his fellow trainees, he saw why, too. Archeville zipped over to Mongel Angel, "Are you alright? No serious injuries?"

  17. His Grapple would be +5 (+4 from BAB of +4, +1 from Str). Please list out what part come from attribute bonus, and what part comes from direct increase to the base save. I.e., something like "Reflex +6 (+3 Dex, +3)". Please list the actual ranks you have in these skills. It appears you only have 14pp worth of feats, not 15. (I'd suggest adding some Attack Focus/Ranged.) Also, please list them in alphabetical order. Does his Thermal Control decrease or increase temperature? By itself it only does one or the other, though you can get the other as an Alternate Power (though it could do both if the board uses the mix-and-match options, which I'm not sure if we do). Also, Thermal Control 8 would be 16pp. Those two Blasts, each with on Extra, cost 18pp, so they cannot be alternate powers of the Thermal Control.

  19. Interesting idea (and a good way to inspire some semi-solo adventures), though I can see it easily getting abused. In the (few) games I've run where this has come up, I've gone by the guideline from the core book (and reiterated in Book of Magic): a character can have an invention "on-hand" ("Good thing I remembered to pack the Anti-Shark Spray!") if A) it's an item that readily fits their capabilities (defined as "can be made if the design & construction rolls had both been 10"), they spend a Hero Point, and C) it doesn't horrendously break the flow of the story (the "No Ruining The GM's Adventure" clause).
  20. Herr Doktor Viktor Archeville, feeling very naked without his wondrous belt or omnitool, was being escorted down to Dryad's cell. He had made good on his promise, in a way -- he had gone back and analyzed both the thorn-like spike she'd tried impaling him with and the sap-like ichor that flowed from her broken body when Star had blasted her, though he did not mention to the guards that he had gotten those samples by illegally removing them from the scene of the attack. And he had whipped up some counter-agents... but so far they were all of the "melt the plant into black gunk" and not "revert the plant to human" sort. But he did not get discouraged, and kept at it (amongst all his other projects), hoping to find some way to help her. There was something about her that touched him, something that reminded him of his youth. "Think we got a code yellow here, Manny. I could use some backup," he heard fro down the hall. "Zhis cannot be good." Despite being told to wait where he was, Archeville followed the guard to Dryad's cell, and saw that they had their batons out. "Vhat is happening? Vhat is going on? Dryad, calm yourself, getting vorked up vill only make zhings vorse!"
  21. It wouldn't, if the extra rank went to duration. If it went to effect (bumping his Str up to +6 rather than +4), it'd give him a Str of 24/+7. Which, combined with his Attack bonus of +6, wouldn't break his PL Caps... but if he uses his Gladius (mighty +2 Strike), that'd bump his damage up to +9, which combined with his +6 Attack would break PL caps (attack + damage must be less than or equal to 2 x PL).
