  1. For a time (a good amount of time, it seems), Kevin stands by himself as the family busy about Clyst. The old gent that Kevin had seen before also makes his way into the room eventually, striding bast Kevin as if he wasn't even there. After a while, the whole scene gets a little boring. Kevin finds solace in a rather cool poster of 'Science Dog', a comic book character who's part science, part dog and all hero. So engrossed is he that he doesn't realise that Tesla Atom is standing right next to him, "You can't go anywhere, you know?"
  2. I'm going to be pretty touch and go for the next couple of days. If I miss anyone, please let me know and you'll get your update on Monday (my time) at the latest.

  4. Hey all, I put together this small teaser for the website. It's only the first draft, as there are a few changes I want to make, but I thought I'd post it here and see if anyone had any suggestions. mrm1CS0DUsE (PS: Thanks Barnum! - I hope you don't mind that I 'borrowed' your city background.)

  8. Michael Chabon has written an interesting article over at The New Yorker. This man obviously knows his superhero stuff. Let me know what you think: Secret Skin: An essay in unitard theory.

  10. In my first FtF game, one character had darkness based powers and a dimensional pocket. At one point in the game, she dimentionally pocketed a syringe carrying a swarm on nanobots (long story). It turns out that some got lose in her pocket and it affected her powers. Eventually, the team made their way into the pocket (including the person who's pocket it was (again, long story)), only to discover that there was, in fact, another universe in this dimension. She (the PC) was hailed as the one prophesised to come and deliver them from the new evil that had taken over their land (the nanobots which had found a way to replicate themselves). It was quite an adventure... one they didn't actually finish, as the last session ended with ther heroes about to face off with the various baddies. Point is, have fun with it! Link it to your other powers if you can, but you're pretty free to describe it however you want, keeping in mind that the description will not change the mechanics (obviously).

  12. That looks awesome! Love the idea of the special abilities - I did a much lamer version of that for the 'Zombies!!!' board game, just to mix the generic player characters up a bit. It's kind of like the DnD miniatures game. Anyways, great work once again. Looks like she's in a bit of trouble though... ;)

  14. Playing MnM with 'normals' has been a concept that I've been quite interested in. I've slowly been lowering the PL from 10, to 8 and now to 6 over successive FtF games. Herid's 'what if' game has been the best example yet, and it's been fun, even though I haven't actually used my powers yet. But a MnM game with no powers - now that's something I'll be keeping an eye on with interest... especially if it has zombies.

  16. Hehe, yes, gross, but great! Anyways, The Crush has gone with her area drain Wisdom attack. Grim obviously isn't affected, but Nano can make a reflex save (DC 18) to half it's effect. I thought a general area effect made more sense than a targeted one, because you can always shield your eyes and whatnot.

  18. Jawbreaker raises a violet coloured eyebrow when Nano shoves his hand into the toilet. The odd attack catches her totally off guard and so she really feels the gush of water. Not only that, but she flies back into the bathroom wall, breaking yet another fawcett and filling the bathroom with even more water. Once she's stopped moving, Jawbreaker attempts to get up and say something, but she doesn't even make it to her knees before she falls back down again. Meanwhile, the newest addition to the room looks on and cries in shock as her ally is hit for six. Her shock evaporates quickly, however, and her visage becomes a seductive smile, "Ok, ok, ok - why don't we just talk about this?" She seems to glow from some inner beauty and shine like purity... to Nanowire at least.

  20. Will takes the piece of paper. "Thanks. I'll certainly be doing that. But hey, look..." he rummages around on his desk for a moment before finding a tipped over stack of business cards, "Here, take this. Just in case, you know? Sometimes my life gets crazy and things I really want to, well, happen, don't." His smile is one of sincere contentment. He speaks in a voice with it's politeness heightened, "It's been pleasure, Megan." The business card has his name and number of it.
  21. I pretty much agree with everyone here. I hope but I fear. The costumes on the whole look ok, although as Dr Archvile said, Ozy's costume is too dark for my liking. Also, Rorschach looks great, but I think the thing that irks me about the Comedian is that his hair and mask look a little too big for him or something... I don't know, but I agree with Cyrith in that while it looks good, there's something a little off. Nite Owl looks far too tech for my liking. In the comics it looks a lot more fabric, and the ears were more striking. But what can you do? In any case, here are some setting shots. On the whole, I think these look pretty good:

  25. Captain Wonder certainly has this woman's attention. She leans on one leg and crosses her arms, "What about her?"
