  1. Jawbreaker merely stands there as the claws do little to damager her hard, outer shell. Jawbreaker looks at both 'Pseudo' and the boy in the cubical maniacally, "I thought you were supposed to be tough. Looks like it's my turn." With that, Jawbreaker looked up at the man in the cubicle, "The alien first, then you!" With that, she strikes out with a heavy fist, narrowly missing the shapeshifter.
  2. A hit against Valkyrie, but a save against the damage.

  4. Actually nareik, this thread is quite a ways along. Jumping in now might not make a lot of sense. What sort of game are you looking for? I'm sure we can sort out something. Thanks for the offer, though! It's always great to do that, and it's what this site is all about. :)

  6. The old man is quick to reply, "Don't worry - you will get your money. All of it. As you can see, I am a man of some means. Ten million dollars is not really a sum that it worries me to part with. The offer was, however, that the actor's body was not meant to be harmed in any way. I cannot give you anything until I know that this is the case, and I won't know that this is the case until I have my men examine him. Surely you see the logic?" The men he speaks of, for the moment, are unmoving. The silence in the room is broken only by the hum and ring of the various technological equipment - even the thin man's clicking has ceased.

  8. At the mention of harvested organs, there's a gasp from Kirk, but he remains still. Either he's frozen in fear or he's biding his time and waiting for an opportunity to escape. An opportunity that will probably never come. In the meantime, without moving in his body or face, the old man replies "That's really none of your business, but in the interest of keeping things civil, no, we do not intend to harvest his organs. In fact, as soon as you do as you're told and put the man on the table, my men here will see to it that he doesn't have any external damage at all." The two big men who helped escort Heavy to this room move casually toward the door. They're not making any moves to block the exit yet, just shuffling to cover space.

  10. Heavy is led down a small metallic hallway with doors in the walls every so often. Every now and then, dirt and earth can be spotted through the floor or ceiling. There's also some kind of weird track on the ceiling - a metal grove in the roof. What's more, on two sperate occarions he and his four keepers walk past two men going in the opposite direction. These men look and act exactly the same as the big and thin men he met earlier, and that now escort him up the hall. He's taken to the end of the hall, through a final metal door and finds himself in a room that looks very much like an infirmary. There is all manner of hospital equipment around, plus some very high tech looking machinery. The whole room has a very sterile look to it. There are three people in this room - two are dressed like doctors, but Heavy can see that they're just more versions of the big and thin men, and one man sits placidly in a large, out of place looking chair at the far end of the room. This incredibly gaunt man has a gravity about him. He's leaning forward, staring unblinkingly at Heavy. It's now that the armoured villain sees that the man seems to be hooked up to some cords that extend from him, through the chair, to the roof. These chords enter the track that Heavy had seen earlier. Finally, although the voice seems to echo from everywhere at once, and even though the old man's ips don't move, Heavy is certain that it's he that speaks, "Put Kirk on the table."

  12. Hey Nightrival, Any more business to attend to? I don't want to leave you hangin' or anything. Let me know if there's anything else you wanna do :)

  14. Will nods, trying and failing to hide his smile, "Well, that's great. I know a little place nearby if you're interested?" He stops, "That is, I mean, if you can, I mean, you might not be finished here, or need to change or go home or something."

  16. Gizotti smiles broadly - it clould be said he gushes a little - and shakes Captain Wonder's hand with a chillike feverence. Gizotti merely nods firmly. "I'm just glad to be of some help, Captain. Honestly, I hope you get these guys." He pauses for a second, "Still, come back when it's all over! For sure."

  18. Rose barely had time to look up from her previous attack before the energy beam hit her, full force. Rose was angry. She wanted these things gone in the worst way. The screaming of the civilians still rang in her ears. It was this anger that fueled her against this attack. With a scream, she shrugged off the effects of the attack. She wasn't going to get anything hurt her - not while there were innocent people in trouble.

    Flu much?

I like to think that, somwhere inside, there was a hippy version of himself with long hair and a tie-dyed shirt who had momentarily taken over whilst his other self was busy writing. It was this hippy self which heard your plight and replied with a (good natured) "Cray-zeh!" Unfortunately, his other self kicked in just after that and (not having heard what you said) just asked you to get dressed. Possible? Anyways, hope you're getting better and avoid the side effects that Folkert mentioned

  22. Hey all, I'm just posting here because I've been a little absent for the past little while - it was supposed to have stopped, but it hasn't. The problem is that, on days that I work, I leave the house at 8am and return at 8pm. That gives me little time to do anything, especially if I have to do something else in the evening (as was the case last night and will be tonight). I try to get some posting done at work, but the boss (for some strange reason) looks poorly on roleplaying during working hours (I know, what gives!?) I get on when I can, but it can be tricky. Anyways, I'm just posting here to tell everybody why I may be a little slow to reply sometimes. I got a lot of love for this board and the peeps found herein, so my absences are merely out of necessity, not desire. If you find that I've neglected your thread, feel very free to send me a PM reminding me. I can be a forgetful Fred at the best of times, so I won't take any offence. Hope you're well, and I hope things change for the better soon. Take care!
