I was gonna say you could 'if you spent a HP', but you beat me to it. I would say that you could now if Heritage spent one of his, but I'm not about to put that pressure on the man. I'm gonna have to deny it this time, but I'll keep this denial in mind for next time when there's an 'iffy' scenario. :)

The red-headed woman still looks rather wary, it seems suspicion is part of her personality, "Millenium. Right. Yeah, I remember them." She takes a moment, looking Captain Wonder over. She finally decides, "I don't know what they told you, but my sister died in a car accident some time ago." Her statement sounds a little odd - it sounds like more of a test than a statement.

Heavy plan works - heavy gravitic energy presses down inside the room. Machines fail as they buckle under their own weight, and the bes that Kirk was supposed to be put on collapses. Everyone but Heavy falls against the floor. The 'thuds' come at iregular intervals, beginning with the demon that was flying, and ending with the spider-like one, but they all end up on their bellies. Even the old man falls back into his seat. His glow intesifies - he's angry. "No, no, no noooooo!" Nothing happens quite yet, but there is a dramatic increase in octarine energy around the elderly gent.

"Abosultely!" Will smiles. In one fluid movement he directs Megan to his table. And spends some time explaining the device to her, taking a fair amount of breaks to inquire further about Megan and her life. As for his project, it seems mostly theoretical at the moment, but Will seems adament that it has some "...fantastic real world applications." While they talk, things seem to go back to normal around them for the most part. The police take statements from a bunch of people and do a search of the area. Eventually they ask everyone to clear out. As they begin to file away, Megan and Will are accosted by Janet. "Hey, Megan, just giving you the heads up - Mr. Langstrom's on the warpath. It seems no-body has been listening all day and some guy he really wanted to see cancelled his talk because of the stuff before. Hey!" She smiles at Will who nods in reply. She turns back to Megan, "Just letting you know." And with that, she disappears into the crowd.

Rose has no time to react before two searing beams of energy wash over her. Physically, they knock her for a six, and for a time the stars in cosmos they're floating in are dimmed by the stars floating in front of her eyes. She's hit again. This time her body withstands the assault, but she feels her very essence being drained away.
