He is running across the building roof for 50 feet (the maximum length of the building), then he is taking a massive running leap of 90 feet into the river, and diving into it!

The river itself is 100 feet away (50 feet across the rooftop, fifty more feet to the bank). Zero is 40 feet into the river.
