Supercape
So Lorenzo escapes the grasp of El Heraldo and unleashes a burst area Emotion Control: Despair! As this is a perception range attack, there is no reflex roll to half effect. DC 20 Will Save from El Heraldo and Young Brittania please. Despair: The subject is shaken, suffering a –2 on attack rolls, saving throws, and checks. Failure by 10 or more means the target is overcome with hopelessness, helpless and unable to take any actions. After which, El Heraldo is up again! Link to comment
Ari
DC20 Will save: 12. Seriously? Okay, looks like he won't be doing much this turn. Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
Will save 1d20+4=14, and this is why I need better saves . Link to comment
Supercape
Note that you are both only Shaken! EH is up! Link to comment
Ari
Attacking melee, Accurate Attack(+-2): 27! Critical! That'd be a DC29 TOU save! (26 normally from the Strike, 24 for Accurate +-2, +5 from the critical) Link to comment
Supercape
1d20+6=25 Lucky blighter! Bruised and YB is up! Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
As I'm very unlikely to hit, I'm going to try and blind him with the light! So another Dazzle. Link to comment
Supercape
Ok so Reflex Saves 1d20+6=26, 1d20+6=7 So! despite making an excellent area save, he is blinded! Post away. Link to comment
Supercape
Round 4! 24 Lorenzo Vile - Blinded, Bruised (Save on 10) 19 El Heraldo - Despair* - 3 HP 10 Y Brit - Despair* Fatigued - 0 HP Despair is -2 to Attacks, Saves, and Skill Checks. Lorenzo is up but obviously in some trouble. He is going to try and counter Young Brittania's Light again: 1d20+6=22 I'll need an opposed roll from YB to counter that (it is a 1d20+4). Tiffany Korta
Counter Roll 1d20+4=12, looks like shes all burned out! Link to comment
Supercape
El Heraldo is up! and now in darkness! Link to comment
Ari
Welp, as it happens I have this Hope-giving Emotion Control power sitting right here. Using it on YB, after a Move Action if necessary. Attempt to Counter the Despair: 11. Hm, going to reroll that. Using a HP(2 Hero Points left) Reroll attempt: 10, +10=20. Link to comment
Supercape
1d20+10=11 YB and EH undespaired! (But still in darkness!) Post away Ari, then... YB is up! Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
As darkness is going to be a problem I'm going to relight my Environmental Control (Light), if I can I'll try to get him to concentrate on my in his attacks. I'm guessing that would be a trick for a Bluff roll 1d20+5=13, but I doubt that's going to work. Link to comment
Supercape
Opinions would divide on whether that would require another stunt (official rules would suggest you do), but lets go with it - no need to restunt. That means an opposed power roll vs Vile's Darkness: 1d20+6=21 1d20+10=28 He isnt falling for the trick, but he is pretty furious with YB anyway....! Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
Countering roll 1d20+4=12, light goes on light goes off . Link to comment
Supercape
Ok and on YBs turn, Vile gets to save vs his dazzle: 1d20+6=20 and throws it off! Dum dum Daaaaah! Round 5! 24 Lorenzo Vile - Bruised 19 El Heraldo - 3 HP 10 Y Brit - Fatigued - 0 HP This time, an enraged Vile will use his chains to snare Young Brittania! 1d20+10=19 That will be a hit with darkness and flat footing, so DC 20 Reflex save for YB! Tiffany Korta
Reflex Save 1d20+4-1=23, wow I actually managed to make it! Link to comment
Ari
In which case, he's going to use the Trip power on the Banner to try and trip him up. Move Action as needed to close the distance. Accurate Attack(+-2) roll: 16. That doesn't hit, does it? Link to comment
Supercape
Unfortunately his defence is +10 (and you are blinded!) Post away ! Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
First float up a bit, which also kick in my aura so there's a tiny bit of light. Then I'm going to try a simple straight forward blast 1d20+8-2=22, if that hit's it's a DC 23 Toughness save. Link to comment
Supercape
Vile will still be concealed: can you throw me a miss chance roll? (the attack roll of 22 will hit!) Link to comment
Tiffany Korta
Sure here you go 1d20=11. Link to comment
