Pass the Plate (IC)

Young Britannia burst out of her cover and flew above where the fight was taking place.

Her aura was flaring brightly and she was still fuming about being hit by Bonnie's blast. She gave a tight smile at the sight of Bonnie lying unconscious. But the fight was still going on and people needed help so she fought down her disappointment and looked around for another target.

Whilst Asad had taken down Bonnie Blue he was still taking on another assailant, well he'd have to do. Drawing up all her energy, and a good portion of her anger, and let rip with a massive burst of light.

Young Britannia's appearance drew no further reaction from the remaining villains; once opposition reaches a certain threshold, anything more is just overkill, and the heroes seemed to have the situation well in hand. Her blast picked Rolling Thunder up and slammed him against the wall again, leaving a deeper imprint. The doors to the kitchen slammed open, leaving their own imprints on the wall, and a white-and-black blur streaked across the room; apparently another of the New Confederates had decided that the fight wasn't worth it anymore.

Ironclad hovered above the fight, considering her options. Several of the Confederates were down or escaped, and the one in the middle of the room seemed intangible, at least if Victory's charge was any indication. Still, Rolling Thunder was looking around with a glassy stare, so it would probably be best to handle him. She powered up her servos and zipped over, making to land right in front of him. Before she could, though, he let loose with whatever he had been holding in his stomach, making her landing slicker than normal. She slipped and ended up sitting in the mess. "Oh god. That's just beyond the pale. I'm sending you guys the cleaning bill," she said, pointing and angry finger at the dazed and confused villain.

Asad was right behind Ironclad. Pushing off the ground and burst forward through the room, in a move that looked a bit more impressive because of the confined space. And he hit the New Confederate solidly. He wasn't throwing all of his strength. He just was trying to cover the ground, and get in close to restrain him. After he punched him. Because Asad was cranky. "I swear, I am going to marshal all the dark forces of the media and public relations to run all of your names through the mud! An ad campaign! Billboards! Commercials! The works! You ALL will be laughingstocks!"

And he saw his punch do... nothing. And to his credit Asad did not look shaken by it, he stood there squared off with Rolling Thunder. Feeling he should have swung harder. So he scowled, though he was aware that the numbers were in his favor, even if his blow was a lot more glancing than he wanted.

The battle was all but over -- all but, as there was still one villain on his feet, or rather floating over the dance floor, glaring at the assembled heroes with all the hate of pent-up rage. The Ghost of the Confederacy laughed as Victory flew through him, his smoke-like form swirling gently in the AEGIS hero's wake. "You can't touch me," he crowed, "but I can touch you!" He drifted towards Victory, reaching out with spectral hands. "Open your mind to me, soldier, and the South shall rise again!"

Sage took off at a dead run from her position near the door, moving with a fluid grace that was something more than natural. The detritus of battle--or at the very least panic--was everywhere with dropped dishware and overturned tables, but the preternatural acrobat found naught but sure footing.

As Sage sprinted to square off against the Ghost, Sage briefly toyed with the idea of contacting her own ghostly teammate but ultimately dismissed the idea; Kimber simply wouldn't arrive in time. With a powerful leap Sage twisted about through the air; as she sailed over Victory she placed a hand on his head and used the AEGIS agent as a springboard to alter her trajectory.

The teen telepath slammed through the Ghost of the Confederacy, psychic blade leading the way.

With only a single foe left to go, Victory came to an unfortunate conclusion as he saw the nature of this phantom. He has no means of attacking such an opponent. Wildly trying to swing at nothing would probably cause more harm than good, considering how much damage even a single whiffed punch of his could cause. But as he looked about for another option in terms of trying to harm this thing, he realized something even more important. There are still innocents in the building!

He did exactly what he was trained to do. Civilians come first, before anything. Without a word, he quickly went to work, zipping through the room and picking up any and all of the party goers, bringing them outside to medical teams that had shown up with the rest of the emergency crews outside. The people looked confused as they were inside one moment, then outside the next, but at the same time seemed very relieved to not be in there anymore.

"Are you so sure of yourself, sir?" demanded Lord Steam, standing up and thumping a nearby table (or what was left of it) with his cane.

"Are you so very sure? take a moment to consider your position. Your utter and complete failure and the evidence of our capabilities. Your comrades in arms were equally as confident, where they not? and look at them now!"

He snapped the cane down again.

"Hubris, Sir! Hubris! your confidence is placed on weak foundations, sir. Do not delude yourself!"

Agnes did a quick scan around the room to see who was left, and it seemed that only there ghost was left. Why did it have to be a ghost? One of the only things that traditionally weren’t affected by light.

Still the thing had a form so it cast light, if she could match the frequencies of light maybe she could interfere with its ghostly body. Dragging up half remembered GCSE Physics lessons she focused on altering her aura, which began to glow with a strange dark light.

Well here goes nothing; she sent a bolt flying towards the Ghost of the Confederacy.

Ironclad watched the other heroes at work. Young Britannia's blast was true, but the spectral opponent twisted in the air (impossibly for someone with a solid spine) and laughed at her. Victory was handling the civilians, and none of her weapons could hit the ghost, so what could she do? A sudden thought occurred to her and she swooped under Sage, letting the tiny telepath land on her back. "Hold on," she shouted, making a circuit of the room and angling back. "I'll fly you close enough to hit it with your sword."
