  1. 1d20+7=16 Now Paralyze works. Though it has Slowed Kitty. Meaning his is an additional minus one to all physical actions. So reducing his attack and defense. Enjoy!

  3. Wincing at the punch, as he was still touching the man's mind, he felt the pain, and then the siren's call of unconsciousness as he slipped out of his hold and to the ground. It was then Elias darted down an alleyway, removing his coat, and starting to stuffing it and his other clothes into the bag he had carried, as taking the distraction seemed wise. Unlike Heraldo, he had more mundane manner of changing outfits. After a minute or so, during which time Heraldo was moving that car into a better position, Errant came back out of the alley, dressed in rudimentary costume. Dark blues and grays, it looked like a novice's costume. The most important thing it had was his mask, which kept his face hidden as he walked in public in the mask for the first time. Making his way to the downed metal man he held out a hand towards him, reaching out with his thoughts. It was not the first time he had done more than just wash over the surface, it was something he was reluctant to do. But they needed to know what was happening so he delved deeper. The water metaphor was more apt now, as his eyes slipped closed, and he was dumped into the subconscious of the man. If Subito was paying attention he'd see that Errant's breathing and the breathing of the metal man was now in time. Slow and steady. Slow and steady.
  4. 1d20+5=9 Metal man does not resist the mind probe.
  5. GM The metal man arched back with the impact of the blow, his muscles being held rigid by whatever it was that Elias was doing. Shortly after the impact happened it was clear the hammer like blow from Subito's hand knocked him out on his feet. In the course of the follow through he slumped to the ground, and was unconscious.
  6. TOU and resist paralyze (1d20+10=16, 1d20+6=24) So he gets knocked out with that punch. So that renders his success against the Paralyze as moot.
  7. That actually hit. Did a full shut on Asad.
  8. Asad drew to a sharp stop, seeing the guy down the hallway, and then he glanced up seeing the person above them, and then his eyes started to glow before he lifted a hand, and the force he had taken from attack on him roiled and burst force, buffeting the man above them, before the billionaire hero lowered his gaze and looked down at the guy. "Oh, now you gentlemen are going to fairplay. I am afraid you are going to both of your efforts to bring me down. Do not worry, I promise the ad campaign I will run will only smear you through the appropriate amount of muck, that you deserve."
  9. November 29th, 6 AM. He was working out. Had been for an hour. While nowhere the strongest the strongest or the most agile he was certainly driven, and he had a surprising amount of endurance. And he tested that. It was something his mother had drilled into him. One of the difference between his parents, they were far more numerous that, but the dogmatic doctrine of using conflict to test and improve was something his mother expressed continually. This happened every morning. He had trouble sleeping, he was aware that sometimes his dreams were not his own. Sometimes it was troubling. Either way it helped make sure he was up early and working hard by the time the next person showed up. Elias paid that person no real notice, he was going through the motions he practiced with Kristin, The one time I'd likely get to practice with her, he thought. And also running through some of the things he had seen in instructional books and videos. Kept his hands up, in a defensive posture, as he threw quick jabs against the bag. Stopping, then, only to wipe sweat from his brow, and drink some more water.
  10. "No a bad idea, not the primary focus though, I have a couple PR firms helping out on that particular. Mostly I was using that as an example of my ability to 'take the piss' out of myself." Leaning forward in his seat and pulling what looked like two tablets from the papers and holding them up. "I am working on building something, these both have flash memory cards in them covering the current design prospects for a... base if you will. Currently they are designed to only interact with the tablets. I figure both of you can look. I had not intended to be talking to both of you right now, but now that I am..." He smiled, just a little as he looked at them both. "I might as well address both of you in this, as I have spoken to Mr. Xavier about, I am recruiting heroes who are out in public. However, I am not restricting myself to is. I have money, a lot of money, and I can use that to help other heroes, besides my occasional catching of missiles with my stunning face." Pushing his seat back, and smiling, still. "I do have more assignments for you Mr. Xavier, you saw what I willing to pay you and the resources I am willing to front will benefit people like Silhouette here." And then he fished out what looked like a sheet of paper and slapped it down onto the table. "For example a paper thin computer comparable to the more advanced commercially available tablets. Like I said," his attention going to Sil then, "I am interested in helping heroes, and am willing to do quite a bit to do so, even if it is just being a resource for them to use. I know I cannot do this all alone, I know I will be help because we are all in this together. And I intend to change the world for the better."
  11. GM Those ears flattened back at the roar of Marcus' voice, and then lowering himself and snarling back, in rage, and then hissing, as he adopted a more defensively posture. Then he uncoiled and leaped at Marcus, swinging one of his hands out, claws outstretched, seeking to score a hit on the larger beast man. His speed was certainly greater than his, and managed to do just that. Raking sideways across the stomach of the ursine hero. Instinct guiding the blow as he did that, feline urge to gut his prey first.
  12. I will be continuing this thread, if HG is still interest, haven't heard from DS.
  13. Sense Motive resist. (1d20+15=24) Are you trying to demoralize?
  14. All Out Attack - Blast (1d20+10=22) To the guy above them.
  15. "My mother is poisonous to the touch, my father is a sociopathic fanatic to the ideal of a ruthless dictator, and I have to active try to not hear just the surface thoughts of others. I have, what they call in those silly movies, intimacy issues." As always he said these things without inflection, apart from his accent. Not that he didn't feel emotions, he simply just did not convey them, and he did try to keep them in control, as a few times earlier in his life he had projected out his emotions when he couldn't rein his in. "So if I have resolved those, you are more than welcome to mention that I like that person. I fail to see why my feelings for someone would be a subject that would irk or upset me. Why does my mentioning the mutual interest in Cerys bother you?" "In my experience, secrets, real ones, are a rare thing. Eventually they come to light." Glancing to Subito for a moment as held the jacket carefully so as to not drop it. "If Tona catches something, I'll ask for one or two animals, so I can show you how to skin them. More practice with the knife will help with not cutting yourself. It is how I learned." He was turned to Subito as he said that, ducking smoothly under a branch that he hand't been looking at.
  16. Elias nodded then, rubbing at the bridge of his nose, as he looked to them, each in turn. It was clear he was thinking, weighing and considering. Though that seemed to be how he was all the time. It was what his mother taught him, plan ahead, have contingencies, be prepared to improvise. The survivalist mentality was not so conducive socially, but he understood how these things went, the necessity of it all. It was then he made brief eye contact with Wisp and gave her a small wary (and weary) smile, before his face tilted down and looked at the roof, with not even a whisper of his telepathic abilities now, as he was clamming out of need, more than anything else.
  17. Headache, always with the headaches. Stones into water and ripples come forth. They touch all things that the water touches. All connected. Elias didn't look at anyone, there was nothing to say really, no immediately. He would be reprimanded. But the bully was caught, chastised. Attention was brought on the issue, and maybe Katherine would be able to speak with the staff about this. His efforts were clumsy, he'd have to get better, not just with helping others, but dealing with better, and with his powers. He could see the line, and he felt sick to his stomach that he had crossed it. That it was easy. It was disheartening. His jaw hurt, his head hurt, and he was processing the brief moment of connection, the skin crawling touch of someone else's hatred. His hand still cupped at his face, those hazel eyes of his not really looking at anyone, and he turned to leave. Pausing a moment before he did so, "Kristin, don't. She doesn't need to feel bad over this now. That wont help." And he walked away, his expression as impassive as it had been when he showed up.
  18. Looking at the metal carapaced man for a moment, he felt everything around him slow down, processing all the information that was assailing. Still aware of that bag suddenly leaped away, buffeted away. It was something that was constantly happening, he had tried to explain it to others before and failed, just like he failed in trying to explain to Subito what things were like for him. However it all tied together, as he was aware of the bystanders. All of them. Their thoughts. Their fears. It made this easier. As he took all that information and reached out to the cyborg's mind, and he funneled it into him. Firing synapses in that mind, turning everything on, overloading him with information, and making it fire across both hemispheres simultaneous. There was no outward sign, until the man's eyes suddenly lost focus, going glassy before rolling up in his head, his mouth hanging open as muscles went slack, and he started to tremor.
  19. "His mind is like a hurt animals, hard to hold, it thrashes too wildly. Will do what I can." And then he reached out with his mind, seeking to fire off as many synapses as he could in that raging mind. All that information flaring up at once, competing and kicking up like a storm. But he couldn't get a hold, he couldn't latch on to it. Losing his grip, he simply was unable to overwhelm the mantiger. And then he moved, ducking behind a mailbox, trying to think, trying to come up with a plan, something, something... He know he couldn't hang with the beast without something more.
  20. GM The feline ears on the man's head flattened, now that he was out in the open it was clear that his head had more in common with a tiger than a man. Fur showing from under his clothes. No stink of magic on him. His golden eyes turned on Marcus and Elias for a moment, narrowed, before the screeching of a car hitting it's breaks and and the horn blaring. In response the mantiger roared back at the noise and swung his arm down hard at the hood of the car, his claws raking through the aluminum of the hood of the car like it was tissue paper.
  21. Elias will hold his action for the Tiger man to go first. Tiger man will charge into the streets, roaring!
  22. (21:46:52) System: TheAbsurdist rolls 1d20 and gets (9)+5=14. Elias is stunned.
