  1. So gonna give an additional fiat, to remove the guys bruises, bring the total up to +2 over base. NanoMan Restored. Errant 4hp Heraldo 6hp
  2. 1d20+8=11 So he shouldn't be up. But we're going to Fiat this. And he is coming too now! Initiative roll, will post ICly prior to the GM post. And then rounds.
  3. At the moment of physical contact, it changed, an Elias showed Subito how far from the surface they where. And once they breached and rose back into the air, there was a small moment before Elias severed the connection, just as Subito started to feel the scope of Elias' abilities start to press outward. As he was no longer focusing on the situation they were just in, Elias didn't know if he could really hold it, and he rather not expose someone else to that. Right yet. Free of the water he took the time to start coughing as they soared to the boardwalk, expelling some of the water he had swallowed and breathed in, and the position he was in sort of applied gravity to help him in that. As they came about to land, Elias coiled back up on himself, and grasped at Subito's wrist to get into a better position for the landing. Sitting there for a moment before shaking his head. His hands, and up to his forearms were exposed, the skin looking a little raw. "No, we have to get back, now. I need to find more information out." Getting to his feet, his knees wobbling as he was wracked with a coughing fit, and then he straightened himself and looked at the larger boy.
  4. Elias's hands pressed to his head, through the hood of his jacket. It hurt. This hurt. But he had to try and render the man unconscious. As the next wave of his psychic assault buffeted at the mantiger. Fortunately it wasn't are fearsome as the claws that Arcturus had. Instead all he was trying to do was bring the man down. To knock him out and have someone deal with them. Each blast of his overloaded, at least temporarily, the man. Rendering him unable to properly fight back, or flee, which was really what mattered. He didn't know how long he could keep it up, but he had to keep going. To succeed, to do whatever he could to prevent his escape, what he did to the hood of the car clearly shown that to him. Elias was painfully aware that the mantiger's claws would go through a person like a chainsaw.
  5. Another Mind Blast, and another Bruise 1d20+7=17
  6. GM The beatman managed to roar out a, "Raaaargh!" Just before Arcturus snatched him up into an embrace very much like his beast form. The mantiger was dazed from the dual assault, his mind reeling from the strikes against his, he was snatched up without too much effective struggling. His ability to escape more than effectively cut off. And held like that, he wasn't going to be going anywhere anytime soon. It managed to gather together enough presence of mind to roar in outrage over what was happening to him.
  7. What pulled up was a small car, black with a red top. It was a Fiat 500. A sporty little thing, perfect for driving around in a big place like Freedom City. And it didn't look so out of place here. It was what Asad used for getting around town, because well... people tended to give him odd looks if he flew everywhere, and it was hard to have to lug around his clothes as well. So this was a compromise, plus it had great gas mileage. After a moment he stepped out of the car, pulling the hood of his rain coat over his head, and quickly skipping under the overhang. When he did, he flashed her a winning smile. "Hello there, Amir al-Misri and you are...?" Unfortunately at a loss for her name, thanks things having shifted, and the people involved changing. It happened.
  8. He drew to an abrupt stop, looking at her flatly for a moment. Then he just sighed and shook his head. He knew she was up to something, but then he knew it was kind of insulting to inquire as to her true intent, just like it would be to sweep her surface thoughts. So he just nodded. "Fine." Of course he had an armload of books, being a bit of a resident nerd among his year at the school, despite his little to no formal education, though biology had been amusing, as he had done the dissection without some much as a batted eye, and with a disturbing amount of efficiency. Which they were still having a hard time placing him, because his knowledge tended to be erratic and all over the place. He moved with Kristin, walking towards the gym. "What are you planning." There was a small beat, before he continued, "You are better with this than I am."
  9. "Actually, that is out of skunkworks division. That is a prototype. The reason to build it? Care to guess what something like would be worth if it was mass produced? And that is not counting the other tech that gets developed in the process. But that is not really relevant, is it?" He crossed his arms across his chest, and he looked at them both for a minute before be walked over to the large window facing out, and looking at the cityscape. "You wont believe me Silhouette, will you? No matter what I say, you will be expecting that other shoe to drop." Looking over his shoulder at her, for a moment, his eyebrows raised. "I do not need any of this. I can walk away from this fiscal empire right now, and live like a king for the rest of my life. But I wont. The reason I wont is the same fundamental similarity between us, the reason we are talking right now..." and he turned towards them again, pausing for effect, "...we all want to do good." He rocked back on his feet, a little for effect. "There is a difference though, one that is quintessential: I have built, and will continue to build up, an empire. To do that I have to be something of an unreasonable man. I have to be prideful, I have to possess ambition and drive." He paused a moment, his mouth playing over a small smile, "Of course I expect both of you have something snarky to respond to that, and I welcome you to it. But there is no catch, I do not need a catch. Whether or not you help me, or accept my help is not going to deter me. Just like whether or not you accept my aid will change that you are going to put that suit on again and wade through the Fens, and try to make things right."
  10. Amir al-Misri knew how to make an entrance. He possessed a certain dramatic flair that was known, even when he was being understated. However, a night like this, there was no point in being understated, which was why he drove up in the deep burgandy colored Aston-Martin Vanquish. It was known the mogul loved expensive cars, and that he had numerous high-end super and ultra cars (if one did not include the ones he had crashed). Pulling up, he waited a moment before getting out of his car. Dressed in an tailored tuxedo, though in far lighter shades than one was used to in this season. A light grey color, it was crip, and hard a stark white shirt, and vest that matched the color of the suit, the tie and the breast pocket were both a lighter pink color. With a grin on his face he tossed the keys to the valet, before walking around to the passenger side door, gently rebuffing the attendent who walked there. Then opening the door, he leaned down, just a little, and extended his hand in for Agnus to take. "You look lovely tonight, Ms. Stone." Murmuring when she took his hand, lifting it up and kissing her knuckles softly.
  11. He has a leg. Please do not wishbone split the Telepath.
  12. Elias didn't panic. He might be incapable of that sensation. The stoic telepath held his breath as he struggled with the current, and then amongst the water, he opened his mind and his consciousness flooded out, finding and latching onto Subito's mind for a moment, singling in on him. "" And then Elias used his senses as well as Subito's own to mesh where he was. And in doing so Elias showed, for a brief moment, part of the sensory world he lived in to Subito, feeling the web that surrounded him, the distant call of the city's collective minds, though wisely Elias had filtered it down to just them, despite the fact that the lack of oxygen was starting to effect his stoic psyche. It was a moment, a flicker, of how Elias felt, experienced, and knew the world. And Subito knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that Elias was in control of the connection. Actively preventing too much from slipping through their thoughts. To stop any distraction, to halt the connection from cutting too deep. Whereas normally he lacked that refinement of his abilities, here and now was not the case. Elias remarked on the irony of being unable to do that normally, but it was easy when he was drowning. When Elias shifted in the water, and extended a leg up towards Subito, the other boy knew precisely where his ankle was, knew how far he had to go to grab it.
  13. Elias is going to use the connection to make a Notice Check through Heraldo's senses, and show him where he is. Which, near as I can see is same DC. So DC20 1d20+10=23 And somewhere down the line a connection is made. Elias show Heraldo where he is. You can make a roll, at this point it is a DC10 attack check.
  14. Okay, Elias makes a Concentration check: 1d20+10=28 Unshakeable! There is some telepathic Widgie Stunting. So Heraldo can either resist and make Will save, or let Elias in. This is like a trust fall. Only potentially squickier.
  15. Ari, go ahead and do a Notice check. DC... Mmm 20. Elias' swim check. 1d20=7
  16. Since they are right above the water, just go with it.
  17. Talked with Tiff, Asad and YB are in. Here is how they arrive. And he is wearing this: Because... he is Asad, and he'll be darned if he has to wear drab clothes during an event like this.
  18. Elias showed no mind to the closeness, the device in his hand beeping incessantly, until they were close to the water, and there was a loud hiss as something was sprayed out, and he threw the device into the water. Then came an understated, "Crap." His gloves starting to dissolve, before he managed to slip from the Subito's grasp, and into the water after the device, aware he was not a strong swimmer. He had mentally prepared himself for the shock of the water. However, that didn't mean he was able to anticipate the current as he was unable to pull himself back to the surface readily plunged under the water.
  19. So Tiger is grappled. Next action is skipped due to stun. So will make GM post, and then Elias.
  20. Interest : Player, but I could run someone else's thread. Setting : An exotic port of call, or some other big city. Character : I am thinking Asad for this. Must use Fisticuffs and his smart mouth. Probably was in the British army or the Foreign Legion at some point. Ending: Asad falls for femme fatale, duh. This does not end well. Could be similar to Casablanca.
  21. The mantiger was still stunned when Arcturus's fist connected, filling the air with singed animal hair. And Elias pressed his advantage as the beast was currently occupied the last psionic blast and the punched, senses reeling, that Elias was able to hit with another. This one was another good blast. At this point, he was aiming to render it unconscious, he had seen the beastman look for an escape route, and a wild animal running through the city was the last thing they needed. And one they had him incapacitated it would make all of this get easier. A lot easier.
  22. Elias took the armload from Subito, and nodded at what Cerys said. "Of course. Masks and all." Though he had no urge to eavesdrop, and started to rinse off the mushrooms they had gathered with some water from out of the big water contain they brought. After a few moments Mr. Landis walked up and looked at what the boy was washing. "Sure that they are edible, Elias?" Though youngish, for a teacher, he was still over a decade older than the kids, he had tried his hand at Heroing years ago, but he just lacked the right attitude for it, which was fine. So he became a teacher, and when asked to join Claremont, he never really looked back. While his curriculum had little to do with Heroes, he definitely tried to aim what he taught to the children as more practical application of knowledge, the stuff that would come up if they were to college. Lifting his head Elias looked at Mr. Landis for a moment, and nodded. "Mmm, yes." Elias then picked one up, trimmed the stem a bit more, and popped it into his mouth and chewed on it as he looked at Mr. Landis, whose mouth was agape as he watched what the boy did. "Um, next time Elias, you could just say yes. Well, I was thinking, I brought my camping wok, I was thinking we could do some stir fry. Think everyone will like that?" "I don't know. I think so, may want to see what Tona catches. Either way, we can't report this to the park rangers." Shrugging a little bit, before looking around, and then back to Mr. Landis. Elias had gotten a small reputation as being difficult, but then if anyone in Claremont could draw parallels between their discipline measures and fascism, it was him. "Need anymore help?" However, out here, he was in his element, even if he lacked Tona's enthusiasm.
  23. "I will find one if needed." He nodded to her then. "You can probably teach me more than you realize. And I can get to the gym easily enough, sleeping is hard sometimes." Which was a true statement, he had insomnia. Similar reason as most everyone else here did. His mind kept running and moving and going, and it's inability to be silent made sure that things got interesting. It didn't help that sometimes other people's thoughts invaded his, especially during sleep. Not that they were coherent or made sense, mostly just flashes and impulses that dwelled like leviathan's in the person's subconscious.
