  1. Elias would smile triumphantly, if that was something he did. He knew who it was, he felt her. Her guilt stained her thoughts, and he could all but taste it. Ignoring what Kristin said, he stiffened noticeably when Kat tapped his shoulder, and he turned to face her, in time to see that wagging finger and then he... closed his eyes. It hurt, her strike to his face, he stumbled, and it broke his concentration then, and he lost hold of the vandal. His hand instinctively going to his face, pressing against his mouth, aware his senses were fooling him, informing him that he was bleeding from the mouth even if that wasn't the case. Standing there in a daze.
  2. Um, so DC 17 Will Saves for everyone?
  3. Paralyze on the guy. oh look he fails. 1d20+5=13
  4. His hands fell to his sides as he looked at Kat, then shrugging. He wasn't concerned by her admission, though this explained a lot. Of course he wasn't bothered by it. As she hadn't done anything yet. "I was born in New Freedom, and Kristin has a reputation for being destructive." He turned and left the room, stepping out into the floor and letting his eyes sweep down the hallway, before calling over his shoulder, "Please think about something else right now. I'm going to get loud." And then waves came crashing at their consciousnesses as his thoughts poured out, slamming and washing over them, and pretty much anyone in the building. Do you think you can get away with it? I will find you.
  5. GM The blast of wind knocked him down as he was recovering from his mad attack and dodge of Heraldo's grasp. He hit the ground hard, and then pushed himself back to his feet. Analyzing the only available target. Hands clenching and unclenching. "... Just leave me alone. I don't want to fight some adolescent idiot. I have plans. You will not interrupt them." Having no urge to stay, he geared up the servos preparing for another jump. Knowing that this costumed ninny would stop him. He picked up the bag he had been carrying earlier. Watching Heraldo intently all the while.
  6. Also initiative: Elias: 1d20+10=20 NPC: 1d20+7=12
  7. Elias was about to respond to Marcus, when he went still for a moment, and then he hissed, out loud. "Turn around Marcus, turn around!" He turned then, sharply, knowing, more or less, what was there. A snarl on his face, as he was readying himself, but not immediately lashing out, instead he reached out to feel for the intent of the creature, as the tigerman wasn't attacking anything yet. Though his efforts to touch that mind did not work, as it was a roil of anger, pain, and confusion. His hands going to his head, and gritting his teeth as he tried to sort through that all.
  8. Tigerman resists Mindreading! 1d20+8=22 Marcus will need to roll, as Elias doesn't have selective yet. DC17
  9. GM Marcus was talking, and he was from the city, so those were strikes against him right now, and they counted as a figure burst forth from the alleyway. His clothes rent from the strain of his body twisting about. He looked more animal than man now, and his natural camouflage wouldn't help him in the city. The new tiger man tested the air with his nose, as his senses were raw, and wanting to be used. Blinking a little bit as he looked around, before stalking into the street.
  10. Elias has been a little wrapped up in the dance of a plastic bag across the sidewalk. Then it was a warzone, and he winced, just a little. The next thing that happened was simple instinct, responding to the feeling of the impact, and he moved, dodging behind a parked car and hunkering down, looking around the bumper, and making sure his line of sight was an minimal as possible. That really mattered. Considering he felt the car get crumpled like origami paper.
  11. Elias pretty much ignored both of them, and grasped the fireax by the handle before dragging it out from under the table. Lifting his eyes he flicked them over to Kristin and then to Kath, looking at the scrap in her hands. His tone distracted as he looked at the ax carefully, and responded to her demand. "Your room is over mine. They used this, it's from the stairwell leading up here, they almost got caught, that's why they left it." His tone softening then as he looked at her with eyes far brighter than they ought to be. "You're not asking me at all. You will feel better pushing your anger onto me, so lash out at me as needed. But I am going to need you to focus when you are done, and I am going to have to stay."
  12. Elias dives for cover and makes a stealth Check. 1d20+6=21 So DC21 Notice or Search check to look for him.
  13. He hummed to himself for a moment as he quickly cut some of the mushrooms and then set them down onto the windbreaker, and glanced at the other boy. "Hold the cap gently and cut the stem, don't pull the mushroom up until the knife is pulled through. The mycelium isn't very sturdy. Yes, like that. They are safe, only late fall edible fungus in this stretch. We will want to rinse them when we get back." Nodding approval at how Subito was doing it. "Body language. Cerys points her feet at you when you two talk. A sign of interest. Just like you getting caught in the memory just now." A shrug of his shoulders as he looked at Subito a moment, and then looked back down at the blewits. "You are from the city, so you're not used to walking quietly out here, or poaching laws. I am familiar with them, and have broken them before, but Mr. Landis probably wouldn't like it. So no apologies needed. You did correct me on subway etiquette." It was all so matter of fact to him, as Elias seemed almost incapable of taking offense to any reaction or overreaction to Subito, or anyone else for that matter. It was clear there was no malice from the strange telepath, and considering how thoughtlessly abrasive he could be, it was a useful skill. "Though she does move quietly. So do Tona and... Sam. They look at each other. With meaning." Taking a moment to recall the other girl's name, before he closed the knife and put it into his pocket. "We have enough. Foraging to forage. Mr. Landis brought plenty of food. I remember liking them before." Then he slowly folded the windbreaker up, and then tied the sleeves together, turning it into a makeshift basket, before standing up.
  14. He set the book back down on a nearby surface and frowned as he looked at her, but it wasn't an expression of displeasure, he was sorting his thoughts before speaking, which a lot of people would say was a rare happening. "I really do not know. I would like to get to know you. We really did not make it that far. Getting to that point would be nice. That is where we got left off before, and I would like to know you better. That is how you get a girlfriend, right? I might be a little rusty with the rules of engagement in these scenarios, and apt to use business terminology." A flash of the old Amir, that disarming smile as he moved the cup around and around between his hands, the only sign he was nervous. "I mean, I might irritate you. I have been told I am good at it. And you might tell me why you are taller."
  15. Elias blinked and shrugged a little, but he didn't disperse with the crowd. But then he wasn't here for morbid fascination, the shock was a raw, palpable thing. Like sand paper and lemon juice on his senses. Of course, he just sort of stepped into the room, and up to the graffiti, reaching up and pressing a fingertip to the paint and smudging it a little to check the freshness of it. "No. Pests. Parasites." Slowly he sank down into a crouch and looked around the room carefully. He seemed unconcerned, or at least not really noticing the room belonged to anyone, or the impact it would have. But then, to him these were things, and privacy was something else. "What is see-oh-oh?" Said as he slowly flattened himself to the ground and looked under pieces of furniture.
  16. Another Notice check. DC 15. This will be for a surprise round. Neither character is threatened by NPC (found here, but it is a guy.)
  17. Elias could feel the commotion above him. Normally he didn't practice in his room, but he was flexing his abilities in his dorm room, feeling without trying to be felt in his touches. He felt the emotions strongly, and then he felt the crowd in the floor above him. Frowning, and he padded out of his room barefoot, and up the stairs to the next floor and looking at the crowd. When he approached and when people noticed they pulled back from him, as he had the rep as the creepy kid. Which made sense. Telepaths made people antsy. Not that everyone reacted, and the focus shifted to the redheaded girl standing in front of her. He followed after the owner of the room, seeing the shock on her face. Frowning a little bit, he moved through the crowd as well and coming up behind her standing there, and feeling around them, taking in the scene, without saying a word.
  18. Start of rounds. NPC: 1d20+10=16 Misses Heraldo
  19. GM The metal skinned man pushed himself up out of the heap of the front end of that card. He looked like a like most anyone else, except with metal and carbon plates over his body, seemingly mimicking the musculature and ligaments. Shaking his head, and looking at Heraldo as he surged to him then. Pushing himself out of the car, managing to kick himself up and away from the car, trying to use the force of the leap and swung arm wild and wide over Heraldo. With the momentum of it all carried him to the asphalt, before speaking in a metallic, hollow sounding voice. "... You look like an idiot."
  20. Elias would be a little unique in that he didn't really know about the goings on in Freedom City, but he had seen Eve before, and she was well known enough for him to find out easily. And she would have been prepped a bit about this student, who had been on the run for over a decade after he and his mother escaped from New Freedom. He felt her approached him, but she wasn't hiding, and he opened his eyes and craned his head to look up at her. Blinking a little bit as his eyes adjusted again to the light. "Hello," he responded in his surprisingly deep voice, "You are... Eve, right?"
  21. Errant: 1d20+10=17 NPC: 1d20+7=22 So order starting next round is the order of operations. NPC Elias Heraldo And the NPC's Def is 20, so... nope.
  22. There was a pause and he looked at each of them in turn, and responded to them in a similar fashion. His expression still guarded. Glancing to Blodeuwedd for a moment, his bright eyes searching for something. For a moment he thought about conveying the thoughts to them, then opted against it. "And the feeling is mutual. Isn't it? It is not my thoughts I am worried about. I know mine. I am familiar with them." He weighed his options and then he smiled, amused, before he lifted his head and looked right into Subito's eyes and stepped closer to him, invading his personal space like it was a non-issue, his gaze not leaving, staying longer than was seeming. "You all are controlling your thoughts. Framing them. She trucks in secrets. They ask how far down the rabbit hole do you want to go, that's the phrase? Even when you are not wearing that one, you have at least one more. Or many more." His eyes flicked to Blodeuwedd for a moment, before he took Subito's hand and shook it three times, firmly, as his gaze returned to the larger boy's, his other hand covering both of theirs clasped together. "Less than we think." Despite his challenging stance there was absolutely malice from him. He released Subito's hand, and stepped back. "More than we acknowledge. I ate earlier. We can go. If I don't irritate Subito enough for him to punch me. Correction, enough for him to want to. Flower is more likely than him. Tie between Wisp and Flower."
