  1. Voltage narrowed his eyes. They had his brother. Voltage didn't care that his brother had gotten into trouble, all that mattered was getting him out. He knew that there was a chance Sam might need to be dealt with. If that's what it took, so be it. Voltage was angry, frustrated, and had been dealing with these people for long enough. It was time to finish it. A single, concentrated blast was all it took to tear the door off of the frame and send it flying into the room. He flew in after it and stood levitating, arms crossed. "Supergiantboy? That's the lamest superhero name I've ever heard."
  2. Rolle a natural 20 for a 22!
  3. Bending down towards the cable, he sent small electric pulses through it, trying to get a clear picture of what lie in the rooms beyond. It was tiring and difficult using his powers in such a way. Normally, he was not used to such carefully controlled electric pulses. Bit by bit he tried to get a better image, filtering sounds, voices, seeing if he recognized any of them. This was quite difficult, troublesome, even. He was struggling. He needed the information before the careful effort wore him out.
  4. Voltage is going to try to use the cables as sensory devices to listen in on the room (power stunting ESP) and burning an HP in order to recover from doing so.
  5. It wasn't much work teleporting to the two thugs and knocking them out with quick blasts. He was quite nervous about the area up ahead. He couldn't see into it, and he'd have to be careful. He flew somewhat slowly, floating towards the blank spot. His mind went over all of the various things that could be going on, but one thing stood above the others; this was the source of the bugs, and possibly the source of everything else. He flew forward, guarded cautiously against all feasible possibility.
  6. going to teleport to the goons and just knock them out, then fly cautiously towards the blocked up part
  7. Hot Zone: Voltage The Morgan household was experiencing an ordinary morning. Thomas was in his room, on his computer. Sam was in the garage, tinkering with his car. It was a steal for the price Sam got it for, but it needed a lot of work. Luckily, Sam knew what he was doing, and could get it up and running himself. Thomas peeked out of the window and watched as his brother hauled a large, heavy box into the garage. He mused on how different he and Sam were. Both were fairly bright boys, with vastly different aptitudes. Thomas was the thoughtful one, prone to studying and intellectual pursuits. Sam was athletic, with greater insight than intellect. Thomas liked his computers, Sam liked his cars. Then, he heard the loud CRUNCH coming from the garage. In an instant, Thomas was dashing downstairs and out the door. When he reached the garage, his eyes went wide with shock. There was Sam, laying down, staring at his hands. A short distance away lie his car, upside down. “What the heck happened?†Thomas asked, running to his brother. He was relieved. He had been afraid that the jack had given way and dropped the car, possibly on top of Sam. “I, uh, flipped my car over.†Sam said, seemingly not sure he was saying it himself. “You...what?†Thomas said. “Yeah, man, I was under it and...pushed a little bit. Flipped it over.†Thomas staggered back. “Unnnnnghh...†He groaned as his head seemed to split open with a sharp stab of pain. Instantaneously, his mind filled with digital noise. Something had turned his data connection power on full blast, and now he couldn't even think through it. He collapsed unconcious. “Thomas, you alright man?†Sam said. He opened his eyes and spotted his brother, standing over him. “Y-yeah, I am.†Thomas said. The pain had subsided as did his power. Instantly, his mind was on the internet, searching and collecting data. It was then that he became aware of the situation. People getting superpowers, everywhere and anywhere in the city. “Oh this isn't good.†Thomas said, standing up. “What's not good?†Sam asked. “Okay, so...†Thomas began as he revealed everything. He explained about his powers, his hero life, and more importantly, what had happened to both of them. “I knew it.†Sam said. “I freakin' knew it. It was so weird how that all happened, and...†Thomas raised his hand. “That's not important right now.†He dragged himself to his feet and changed into his costume “Cool costume.†Sam said. “I don't doubt that somewhere, someone is working on a cure for this.†He could feel his mind, too, processing faster and faster. If he wasn't careful, he might be driven insane by the sheer power of his own mind. Slowly, it subsided. “And?†“I want to help them. There are two reasons why. The first is that it's what heroes do. The second is I want to know what's going on, and I need to be contained if my powers grow more uncontrollable.†“What are you afraid will happen?†“My electric powers seem unaffected, but my mental powers are growing increasingly out of control. I can't...concentrate very well. My own thoughts are running away with me.†“That's not good. I should take you to where they're making this cure.†“Sam, it's not safe.†“Thomas, I pushed over my car, I think I can handle myself. Besides, what happens if your powers give out before you can go where you want to?†“I was planning on teleporting.†Thomas said, closing his eyes. He flickered for a moment, but id not move. “Well, I can't teleport, takes too much concentration. I guess I'm stuck flying there.†“Not alone, you're not.†Sam said, walking confidently over to his brother. “Mine are stable, yours aren't.†Thomas nodded and conceded. “Alright, then. We can't fly, because I can't carry you.†“I think we can do something else.†Moments later, Thomas was slung over Sam's shoulder as the two young men leaped high into the air. Several minutes later, the two of them landed in front of the Lab after several awkward and somewhat painful jumps. Thomas was grateful for the suit's protection. “We here?†Sam asked. “Yes, thank you.†Thomas said. “I can take it from here. I'm in costume, you're not.†“Yeah, good point.†Sam said, turning to jump away. He stumbled into the building as his mind struggled to separate thought from data. “My...my name is Voltage.†He said. “I can...control electricity, and computers with my mind.†He stumbled forward. “I can't think, my powers are out of control. I'm afraid of what I'll do, or...what'll become of me if I don't seal myself up.†For the first time in months, he wasn't a superhero. He was a scared kid. Terrified of his own powers, terrified of what was happening. He had hoped to help, but not in this condition. He couldn't think through the internet, and his mind was going so fast it was hard to even say what he managed to say. A few hours later, he lay in a containment cell, leaning against the wall. The internet had shut up, and he could gather his thoughts. It was going to be a long time, but, hopefully someone would come with updates. “Guess I got a while to wait.†He said, leaning back. Some time later, after the cure had been discovered and delivered, after Voltage had been cured, and went home, he opened the door to discover his parents and Sam sitting there, talking. “So they said my powers aren't going away.†Sam said, sighing. “I mean, I'm not dying, but, yeah...†His father nodded. “I understand. Are you going to go to that school?†“Yeah, dad.†He said, with a grin. “It sounds cool.†Thomas quietly closed the door and shook his head. Apparently, there was going to be another superhero in the Morgan family.
  8. "Sounds like an idea. Though I think we should stay and make sure this guy gets arrested, and then talk." She was definitely not looking forward to him suddenly waking up and picking another fight. That wouldn't do at all. She got lucky, she wasn't going to let him try again. "It was enough trouble putting him down the first time. I don't want him getting back up and trying again. Besides, I think the police might want to talk to us." She avoided the obvious questions, the obvious thoughts. That would wait. Business now, take care of the situation.
  9. Voltage was going to do what needed to be done, but he wasn't stupid enough to do so by charging in blindly. First, he found the computer network of the man's house and wormed his way in. After that, he accessed all of his cameras and security devices, ensuring that he knew where all of them were, and where any guards might be. After that, he seized control of the cameras and put them on a continuous looping feed. They would replay a short sequence, wherein nothing happened. Over and over again, in and endless, eternal loop. Once that was taken care of, it was time to deal with the man.
  10. Voltage is going to stay out of range of his house and use a 35 (taking ten on a Computers check) to hack into Avetti's security system (if possible) and use his own cameras to scan for guards and anything else suspicious. In addition, if at all possible, he's going to program them to play a loop over the feed, so that it looks like nobody's there. (another Computers check, at 35, if necessary)
  11. Crimson Tiger had no fear of the dark. Indeed, she enjoyed keeping to the shadows sometimes. It helped her fall under the radar back at her old school, and more importantly, it let her go unseen. She preferred, whenever possible, to confront her foes directly and without hesitation. Being a superhero tempered that aspect of her personality. now she only went for a direct fight when she knew she could afford to. She hid nearby, watching the entrance. Her precious Tigercycle was parked some distance away. She'd arrived on foot, sneaking from shadow to shadow as she neared closer. Now she waited with bated breath. This wasn't the first time she'd gone to a warehouse expecting a fight, and this time she was going to be more cautious.
  12. It didn't take a superhuman intellect to realize it would all trace back to him. After all, why come to the shop looking for the computer. Almost instantly, he fired off a series of emails to various police officers, anonymous tips with loads of evidence. The entire case laid out before the police force. He showed the connections between paperwork, whatever types of smokescreens these people were using fell apart. With that done, it as time to go on the hunt. "I'm coming for you..." Voltage said, readying himself to fly. And, like a thunderbolt of vengeance, he streaked across the sky towards his target.
  13. "I uh...don't have any powers." She said a bit nervously. She wasn't sure what all powers these guys hand, but it was becoming increasingly clear that people like her were rare. She wondered if there were any other students that didn't have powers. She looked at the other two with a bit of apprehension and nervousness. She hoped they wouldn't judge her for it.
  14. "If you don't mind, I will stay a distance behind so as not to disrupt your desire for stealth and surprise." With that said, Voltage began to walk calmly down the hallway, keeping sufficient distance behind the others so that, even if they heard him coming, they wouldn't necessarily know the others were though. He was not, however, so far away that he could not immediately join the fray if needed. "It's very unusual to build a place like this." He said somewhat quietly.
  15. Voltage is going to see his sneaking allies, and not try to sneak himself, he's going to stay behind.
  16. Using Online Research to Gather Information using his Computers score, taking 10 on a 35.
  17. Voltage nodded, quite out of his element. It was nice to see that he didn't have to deal with Spiderbite anymore, but, it wasn't the end of his case with the thug's employers. "Here's my card." Voltage said. "It's an email that I can reach. Don't worry, it's heavily encrypted. If you figure anything else out about this, let me know alright?" With that done, he took off, high into the air. He levitated over the city and used his enhanced memory to grab all he could from the laptop, trying to remember any important or pertinent details about who was doing the experiments, or where they were. He cross referenced the data, performed searches, and, in general did his best to search the internet for information on what he needed to know. Who was responsible, and where were they? It was time to shut them down.
  18. Voltage growled at the traffic. This was getting worse, and more annoying at that. "Make sure you're all secured in there!" He said, landing on top of the ambulance. He'd yet to truly use this power on this scale. He had tested his limits before and knew this ambulance was more than light enough, but still, it was going to be interesting. "I'm going to carry the van over the traffic!" He shouted to those inside. "It should be a smooth ride, but no guarantees." Standing on top of the ambulance, he closed his eyes. The large vehicle began to twitch, and then lift into the air, slowly at first. Once he was comfortable with moving it, he moved it a bit faster, carrying it over the traffic jam completely. He intended to set it back down as soon as they cleared the jam. He couldn't afford to be attacked by the flies while the ambulance was in mid air.
  19. One of the many disadvantages to being super smart came to mind. Her comment about 'it's a spider' sent thousands of possible snarky, sarcastic comments through his head. He shook them out of his head and concentrated on taking out the massive spider in front of him. With a surge of energy, Voltage filled the air with the sound of crackling electrical current. The sheer volume and power of the strike sending the spider staggering back as the current filled it's body. He was sure he could defeat the monstrous beast now.
  20. Voltage isn't an animal lover, this is an unnatural creature. Where would he put it? He's going to try to kill it.
  21. trying to blast the spider, got a 30 and a natural 20!
  22. "No, I don't weight them, I just.....that's just how they are." She said with a slight nervous tint to her speech. She definitely could tell she'd made some improvements, she was so much better than before now. She was faster, stronger, and had better instincts. "Oh, thanks, I thought a guy that big would rely on his strength, might not be used to feints and such. I didn't think I'd knock him out."
  23. Crimson Tiger chuckled, and then laughed. She couldn't believe her luck! This was the most insane thing she'd ever done. "I'm pretty sure that was a lucky hit...I mean, wow...right...I almost feel sorry for him. Almost." She realized, at that moment, the implication. This guy knew more about her than she wanted to reveal, and vice versa. There was no way he didn't make that connection in his mind! She sighed. Ah, well, he was a superhero, and she had the same thing on him, she supposed. It was going to happen one of these days, no matter what.
  24. Voltage narrowed his eyes. This big, ugly spider was annoying him. He wasn't about to let it hurt anyone. He pulled electricity into his hands and stared the monster down. "Alright, I have to make this quick..." He mumbled to himself as he let the energy fly, coursing through the air. The current hung in the air for a few moments, filling the monstrous spider's body with a massive jolt of electricity. It shook for a moment, but remained on it's feet. This spider was tough.
