  1. You still pass with ease, these guys aren't very strong, they're minions. Once I post in IC, you can roll your attack roll.
  2. 13 on an attack roll from Guy Vampire Minion 1 takes a swing, hits Make a TOU save
  3. 13! hey, at least he woke up fairly quickly Okay, going to ask these questions now to get it out of the way; What sort of condition is the machine in? Is it usable? Can Voltage use his mental quickness to reverse engineer the machine? Can Voltage use his powers like so? Stunt for an AP off of his electricity Nullify Powers (Supergiantboy's powers, exclusively) in order to turn off the growth? Or can he take the machine, set it to reverse, and blast it wit him again? In other words; how can Voltage shut down Supergiantboy's powers?
  4. "I have to stop him..."In a desperate gamble, Voltage unleashed a blast of electric energy as hard as he could, and it did nothing. The blast didn't even look like it worked at all. "No..." He said, lowering his head. He tried his best, fired the most power he could, and it didn't do anything. His mind raced. There had to be another solution. There just had to be...how was he supposed to stop him? He couldn't just fight him, that wasn't going to work. He'd have to try something else...
  5. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3501051/ So, he's out, Voltage is knocked out, :/
  6. Alright, to get this ball rolling, I want people to start brainstorming character meeting ideas. Find someone your character has yet to meet, and propose an idea to them. Blue Rose; I had an idea wherein Stormbreaker and Voltage would end up tracking one of Green's technology theft operations, independently, and then jointly. I have to wait for a thread to free up, but what do you think?
  7. GM The man hardly had time to react as he flipped onto his back. He growled up at the Penitent and, with a sudden flair, twirled around and jumped backward. He backed away from his foe and adjusted his clothing. "I was told that a hero was interfering with our little...ritual. No matter, you may have stopped it this time, but we will do it another night. You, however, will be dead." He crossed his arms and backed away into the shadows. "Get him." Was all he said as he backed into the shadows. The air filled with the sound of rushing wind as five vampires leaped into the air all at once. Guy, with his enhanced vampiric reflexes, leaped into the air with surprising speed. Unfortunately, his target sidestepped his initial strike. One of the vampires rushed at the Penitent, fist clenched. He brought his hand across the Penitent's face, and then stepped back a moment in horror. As strong as he was, the mighty Penitent was tougher.
  8. Well, I assume he fails, so... Roll initiative! 10 on initiative for the bad guy Guy gets a 21 Vampire Minion 1 gets an 18 Vampire Minion 2 gets a 15 Vampire Minion 3 gets a 16 Vampire Minion 4 gets a 7
  9. "Well, let's just say I'm good in a scrap." Crimson Tiger said with a grin. "I can also sneak if that's what we're doing. I mean, it wouldn't be smart to just charge in blindly." She looked at Blodeuwedd's communication devices and nodded. "I don't bring my phone on missions, so that would really come in handy." Well, it seemed as though she wasn't alone in this particular situation. That was always good. Allies would be a major help in the event that she got caught unawares by villains. Glow and Blodeuwedd definitely looked like they could handle themselves should the situation arise. That, and she always liked meeting new friends.
  10. Burning yet another hero point to shrug off the fatigue. Voltage is going to blast him again, damage shifting for two; 27 If that hits, (which I think it does) DC27 TOU save from Supergiantboy
  11. Tiger is going to run in and strike the guy. If she has enough movement, she's going to move away before he can physically retaliate Got a 16 on an attack roll
  12. All GM points go to Crimson Tiger this month Voltage For Services Rendered Shock and Flaw Crimson Tiger Incompatible Hardware Instant Action, Just Add Ninjas First Day Jitters GM Shadow of the Evening
  13. Okay, this is getting just a tad bit crazy. 1) I never said anything about Victory becoming a member of the team. I am, however, quite willing to have him be a team liaison with AEGIS, and possibly making requests of the team handed down from AEGIS. 2) I have an idea about what to do with this scenario. If Corporal Cosmos joins the team, we would have three space-oriented heroes on the team; Stormbreaker, Corporal Cosmos, and Quintessence. We would have four people who aren't; Voltage, King of Suits, Ironclad and Crusader. My basic notion is that while all seven members are members of Vanguard, there are, in practice two 'teams' within the team, the Space Team, and the Earth Team. Much like how the X-Men have multiple teams under the same banner, we could potentially do the same. At this point, we've bloated far beyond the potential to have a single thread with everyone in it if we plan for the thread to end within a year or so. I'm going to state right now that barring someone backing out, Vanguard is no longer recruiting, looking for new members, or able to accept new members. The final team roster is as thus; Voltage King of Suits Stormbreaker Quintessence Crusader Ironclad Corporal Cosmos (Tentative) This is the final roster. As much as I'd like to let everyone in, the team is already so big we cannot run a thread with all members, any more and we won't have any kind of cohesion at all.
  14. Eh, he's not a human supremacist. He knows enough about Stormbreaker to know she wields some form of magic or technology that he doesn't understand. That's more than enough for him to start poking at her to learn about her powers. If he can determine that her powers are useful to him, he'll try to capture or make a deal with her. At the very least, he'll want to rid himself of her interference so he can operate without her becoming problematic to him.
  15. GM The room was rather large, and looked like it had been decorated with a sinister intent. The walls were covered in blood red drapes and tapestries of grisly scenes. In the center of the room was a raised platform, atop which stood a cloaked figure. The only light in the room were a series of candles along the walls, giving the entire room a shadowy appearance that did nothing to alleviate the sinister appearance. The shadows cast between sets of candles was, at first, impenetrable. However, after a second of looking into the room, the Penitent's eyes adjusted to the lighting and pierced the shadows. It was evident that there were people standing between the candles, all in black robes with their heads down. The humans, the captives, did not appear in the room. "The sacrifice is nigh, my friends!" The man in the center of the room shouted as he raised his hands into the air. "Bring me the mortal sacrifices."
  16. Welp, bad guy got a 7 Your ally barely rolled better at a 16
  17. GM "Take an early advantage if you can, but hit them quickly. If they have to stop the ritual for any reason, it fails and cannot be repeated for a few days." He said, closing his eyes. "Other than that, there should be several fledglings, newly created vampires, they are weak and not worth your time. The leader of the ritual is dressed in robes, he will be your main target because he is performing the ritual. I can help take care of the fledglings, you should concentrate on the leader. Hit him, hit him fast, hit him hard."" He offered a grin, flashing his fangs.
  18. GM He eyed his hand, and then shook it "If I survive the night, I will give you my name." He said solemnly. Whether or not he got the 'Bram' joke was not evident. He was either not a fan of fiction, or not in the mood to deal with humor. Either way, he did not acknowledge it. "Shall we fly, then?" He asked, looking anxiously up at the sky.
  19. GM "Kind of you to warn ahead of time." He said, looking towards the sky. "They're doing the sacrifices in less than an hour and a half, we must get going, soon. Believe me, you don't want to fight them after they complete it. Even if your friends weren't in danger." He hadn't landed, in fact, he stood levitating off the ground, arms folded. He sighed. "For what it's worth, I didn't attack any of your friends, I was asked to watch the scenes of the kidnappings for any heroes trying to investigate."
  20. GM "Well, that, was unusual..." He said as he could feel his body recover. "I thank you for that, and good idea. I'm sure your mortal police will be of great use against vampires." He chuckled. "Ah, well, I'm sure they will be able to help clean up." "I don't mean to seem ungrateful, but, your healing magic did not...remove quite all the injuries you inflicted on me." "Understand, working with you means I can lift the yoke of those idiots from my neck and no longer be bound to obey them. That is all this means. I will, out of courtesy, 'keep my nose clean' as it were, to avoid further conflict in the future, but this does not make us friends."
  21. GM He sighed "I know where your friends are being kept, and I know what they're planning to do. You can't waste time protecting me if you plan on saving them. But, that doesn't mean you have to do this alone." He said, folding his arms. "I know this sounds weird, but, this is the best chance I have of waking up to see tomorrow night, so I'm going to throw my chips in with you. It's better than getting killed by my supposed bosses. It's all part of some dark ritual, but it happens later tonight. If you go to that address, you should be able to stop it before any of them get killed."
  22. much better, he'll listen now He barely made it, but he recovered he's down to 1 bruised condition No bruised conditions, fully healed; 15
  23. GM "None of this matters, you know. They'll win, kill me for my failure, and kill all of your friends, too. They've got things too lined up for it to fail." The cold, almost wintery wind blew in their faces as they flew along. He did not seem keen on listening, nor did he attempt to evade. It was apparent that he knew the Penitent had him, regardless of what happened to him next. He just hoped he could avoid being killed, naturally.
