  1. Blackbird's hands slipped up to the sides and behind Mervyl's neck. She lightly massaged him as he talked. She didn't care for his talk about how petty stealing was. Somepeople, namely her, had to live off of it. She did not show her disdain for his line of thinking, she kept listening faithfully. His spiel about wanting more put him right in the spot she wanted him in. "You can always have more, you just have to take it some times," she said softly as she pulled herself up to him. They were face to face, body to body, her holding him close with her arms around his neck. "How about you take what you want if you're so powerful?" Boys, she thought, if it's this easy, i'll be running Shadow Academy in no time.
  2. Right into my hands, Blackbird thought as Mervyl played with her hair. "Mhm, power is always fun," she cooed, "Is that what you're going to Shadow Academy for? To be powerful? To get powerful?" Blackbird thought about what he said. Power is a nice goal. It was sort of her goal too. Though the powerful ones weren't the ones with the loud voice, they were the ones who controlled the ones with the loud voice. That's what she wanted.
  3. Now we're talking, Blackbird thought with a devious grin. "All good ideas," she said with a tumble towards Mervyl, ending up with her head resting in his lap looking up at him, "but is there anything in specific? I like to relieve people of their valuables before they know. What's your poison?"
  4. Blackbird squished the ball of magical energy between her hands as Mervyl took off his glasses. That's pretty cool, she thought. "Nah, it's true," she smiled, "Every last bit of it." She took a breath, he looked dangerous. Maybe he would be fun to play with after all. She remembered back to her old life. The more dangerous the more fun it was. That's why she chose to get out there and steal things for the Tigers. What fun was it to sell yourself? No challenge in that. She yawned, "Hey I got an idea. Why don't you and me go do something? Anything. It's a full moon, there's bound to be all sorts of crazy things we can do!"
  5. Blackbird sighed with a shrug that Mervyl couldn't see. She thought about yanking everything out of his pockets and running away. Then again, she would have to deal with him at school. She flickered back into sight sitting next to the giant ball. It was heavy and smooth enough for her to lean on. She smiled at Mervyl with a wink, "Only to those that I find really interesting. You are the type I find interesting." She chanted again and a swirling ball of energy that was hard to look at appeared, "Yeah I know magic. It's fun. Dangerous, but fun." She was lying through her teeth. It hurt her to do this as Caellin was desparately trying to come out while she was doing it. Such is the price for having one more person under your spell.
  6. Blackbird dodged the debris as it flew into the field towards Mervyl. She watched in amazement as it piled up around him. Caellin silently cursed as this would certainly not attract the beasts. Especially if silver was in that pile of junk. Blackbird applauded the show of might as Mervyl scrunched up the metal into a ball like aluminum. It was her turn. Standing up on her hands she flipped over backwards to her feet, then to a full standing position. The thin silver lines on her body flashed again in the moonlight. "That looked fun," she smiled, "now I guess I can show you what I do." In an ominous tone she chanted, almost singsongly, in an ancient language. Her body flickered for a moment and she was gone! Nowhere to be seen! She laughed, "Now you see me, now you don't! I got a ton of other tricks you can see," she said slowly tracing her finger down his spine. "Just not this one," she snickered.
  7. "A small world indeed," Blackbird smiled, genuinely amused, "I happen to be going to the same school you speak of." Standing up on her knees and leaning forward on her hands, she took a step towards Mervyl with a smirk, "You don't look like the type that would be invited for the academic program." Taking another step closer she whispered warmly, "Show me what you can do and I'll show you what I can do."
  8. Silently stalking the grove were black canine beasts. Caellin's magic had worked, unbeknownst to the oblivious teenagers. They were camoflaged and silent enough to avoid their detection. Slowly but surely the pack of magical beasts gathered for their midnight feast. Though they did not know that their dinner would have fight in them.
  9. Detimined more than ever to catch the freakin ambulance, Angel stomped on the board and swiveled it around to keep up with it on the turn. Appararently she took the turn too wide and was still behind the ambulance. Nowhere even near it.
  10. Power Check (1d20+4=6) Yeah. Never gonna catch it.
  11. Angel curtsied then reaches her hand out to Ace, "I'm sorry, Mr. Danger, I've had my share of suprises tonight." Looking to James and them back to Ace, she smiled politely, "Please forgive my faux pas, the Marks' will gladly pay for any damages here. Have a good evening sir." With that Angel curtsied again then turned to James to politely take his arm. "Shall we go now? We'll begin maneuvers as soon as we get back to my place."
  12. "Oh, but where would the fun in that be," Blackbird winked and smiled at her tormentor, "who wants an old dog with no chase? I threaten you. You threaten me. We go along until one of us actually finishes the job." She shook her head with a laugh. To think, this started out with her simply flirting with him. It obviously grew into much more than that. "Now as for your plan to put us at head of the class, what do you have in mind?"
  13. Blackbird was quiet for the rest of the tour. Caellin reprimanded her for getting too close to the witch hunter. It was turning into a moth to a flame scenario. She liked the danger, but one day she would die for her fascination. She stayed quiet for the rest of the tour, grinning maniacally at the thought of a hunter/hunted relationship. By the time the tour was over she was glad to be outside. She noted the other places she could go besides the dormitory. Any place wold be better. She makes notice of the new people. The 'old guard', as it were. Perhaps they would be useful later on. Flouncing around the serving table, she found nothing appetizing at all. She eventually wound up getting nothing and then tried to walk over to wear the Alpha team was. She was met with six hot glares of disdain. Before takin another step, she 180'd towards the others. Where could she sit? In her head she sighed alf of desparation half of acceptance as she found herself fluttering back to the flame. When she got to the candlestick she saw the military guy and the guido take off. Sitting somewhere in between the rest of the group. she squeezed herself in. "So, what do you think of the new collective?" She asked openly with a snicker, looking at all of them there.
  14. This had to be the weirdest feeling ever. No one kisses a mass murderer and thinks well of it. It was like kissing Satan. Still she had to keep him occupied until she could get him out of here. A plan was hatching in her head. Leaning into the kiss, she played along and 'enjoyed' it. A little bit too much. Afterwards, she whispered into his ear, "I've been following your work. I think you deserve some appreciation. How about I take you out back and make you very, very happy?"
  15. Blackbird smiled. It was oddly comforting that she wouldn't die at the hands of some training routine, but at the hands of someone who cared. Man, this was weird. She tried to keep her eyes off of Zealot as they walked down the aisle. She wanted to disappear and poke and prod him some more and be in control. But the tour guide probably wouldn't take kindly to that. When she entered the room that they were to stay in, she didn't say anything, but when she found out that they would be living together, she froze for a split second. She would be sharing a bedroom and a bathroom with five other people. At least one that wanted to kill her. It didn't frighten her, weirded her out. As quickly as she froze she unfroze and grinned wickedly, elbowing Zealot. "Hey," she whispered to him, "Wanna play 'Let's See Who Goes To Sleep First'?"
  16. The monitors showed the live feed of each of them as they sat down. Those sitting on the left side could see the right sides monitors if the looked over their head and could see their own if they looked above them. "Good afternoon, Ronin," the Headmistress greeted him with a wicked grin after the 'assassination attempt' comment, "I'm sure you'll find there will be no one killing you. Though you may have to watch yourself for other reasons," she winked and motioned him to the table. "We are expecting two more visitors, Captain Knievel," she looked over at the table where he was sitting. "Frankly," she said with a longing sigh, "I expected these two men to be first." When Jos stepped through the teleport, she was a bit miffed that Belphegor wasn't there. Never the less, after his introduction, she greeted him with the same warmth as the others. She leaned in and whispered coaxingly into his ear. "You want to drop the act. It's cute, maybe I'll need cute one day, but I need you at your best right now." Pulling her head back to where their eyes met, she smiled warmly, "Now why don't you have a seat over there," she motioned to the table. Sashaying over to Exile, she greeted him with awith closeness and a hand, "Glad you could make it, Exile. Saving the best for last, were you?" She grinned and winked. She turned toward the table and put her hand on his back, as if to lead him to the table with a nod towards it. Walking to the table with that same slow hip shaking walk. "I'm glad you all could join us here today. For we are here for one reason with several subreasons. The main agenda is to teach our future." She nodded to Terhune with a smile. Slinking back into her chair, she steepled her fingers as he put her elbows on the table. "But you all know well we're more than just in the teaching business," she grinned wickedly. "My first question is to question how loyal you wish to be in your teaching. Will you act as a front teacher, subjgating the masses into keeping our cover." Her face turned deadly serious, "Or will you help us really train tomorrow's youth?"
  17. Have a VP for the Headmistress seeing right through you, Dr A.
  18. "Well, in a former life I was called Blackbird Starblossom. You can call me Blackbird." She chuckled, "Then again, back then, everyone had far out names." She smiled and reached her hand out to him, "Nice to meet you, Mervyl." Eager to keep her state of mind, Blackbird quickly started conversation, not knowing when Caellin would kick back in. She felt her welling up inside, it was almost painful. "So, Mervyl, what do you do when you're not reading in dark fields?"
  19. Angel tried to catch up with the ambulance but it was pulling away from her! She found herself by Midnight's ride. Distressed, she grunted and leaned forward trying to make the board go faster.
  20. Before the Headmistress had a chance to go back to her chair, Malice enterned the room. Greeting him the same way she did with Captain Kneivel, she got close and offered her hand in greeting. "Malice," she smiled, "Perfect timing. Please have a seat in any chair you wish except for mine." Malice noticed one of the monitors above Captain Kneivel's chair showed a live feed of Captain Kneivel. The Captain was ablivious to the non-existan camera monitoring him.
  21. "Good afternoon, Captain Knievel," the Headmistress said with a warm welcome in her German accented voice. She stood up from her chair and sashayed over to him, getting into his personal space before offering her hand in greeting. "I am glad you could make it. To be honest, I did not think you would be first." She winked, "You are the maverick type." Motioning her hand towards the table, the Headmistress invited him to sit, "Pick a chair either to the right or left." She grinned seductively, "The head chair is mine."
  22. I'm running the Headmistress as Sandman has something against playing women :P
  23. The Headmistress had sent invitations to several of the top ciminal minds. These invitations were for them to teach the up-and-coming youths for their own nefarious puroses. Malice and Captain Kneivel would want to keep tabs on the metahuman population while they were young. Ronin would be looking for his protege, current or next. Belphegor would be looking for people to make deals with. Exile might be the only one who wants to teach. Sitting in a war room type setting, various monitors surrounded the wall. A long table with plush chairs sat in the middle of the room. The only way in and out was through a teleporter device linked to a teleport beacon that would only work when the time came. The Headmistress waited for her future teachers. She did not want to be kept waiting.
  24. "You," Angel pointed at the surrenderer, "Stay here." With that she took off after the runner. Slamming into the runner, she brung him down with a well-placed knee to the back.
