  1. "Thank you," Angel said for the compliment of her dancing skills, "You're quite the dancer yourself. My parents run some of the major import and export businesses here in Freedom City. You pretty much can't send or receive anything exotic without going through them." Angel blushed at the second compliment. James was definitely getting brownie points for smoothness. Though Ace Danger is gay? She could of sworn she saw him with that girl a few weeks ago. Maybe he sings both ways. Maybe it's a cover up. Who knows? It made him more intriguing.
  2. "They're business partners," Angel said as she stepped out on the floor with James, "my parents are also very good friends of the Tonnifannis." James was a good dancer, he'd obviously practiced for the night. A few moments into the dance Angel noticed an admirerer. 'Ace Danger?' she thought trying to keep her footing, 'I never thought he'd look this way. Must keep my composure. I've danced for others before! Wait, I can't leave James here. James or Ace? James and Ace?' A smile crossed her face as she danced, looking at James. "I think we're being watched," she whispered to James.

  7. Players Name: Angel Power Level: 6 (90/93pp) Trade-Offs: None Unspent PP: 3 Characters Name: Blackbird Starblossom Alternate Identity: Witch Height: 5'1" Weight: 110 lbs Hair: blonde Eyes: blue Description: Short and lean. Long unkempt hair though not wild. The sorceress in her like to keep her clothes loose and free. Not that she minds, she likes the "gypsy style". The bond with the fae sorceress left her marked with thin silver lines that wrap around all of her body. History: Blackbird didn't have what some would call a fantasy childhood. For one, she was named for the song she was conceived to, during the infamous Woodstock. She would never know her father, and her mother didn't exactly plan, nor want Blackbird. Blackbird's mother, throughout the child's formative years, was both mentally and physically abusive, blaming her for her ruined body, ruined future, and ruined life. Blackbird grew up under constant belittling, fear, and pain, which forced her to become independent, brash, angry, and willful. She ran away from home at the mere age of 12. Like many her age, she fell in with a tough crowd. Living alone on the streets, stealing what you could eat to survive was not anyone's idea of a perfect life, so she turned to gangs. The Bayview Bengals, a local Freedom City gang, small and known for its exclusively female membership, became Blackbird's new family. It was no fairy tale of sisterly love and comraderie, she had to earn her keep, which meant she either sold herself on the streets, or she stole. Blackbird chose the latter. She became fairly adept at picking pockets, and shared her earnings with her "sisters". One day, however, she picked the pocket of a Fae Prince in disguise. More annoyed then angry, the prince caught the girl and took back his wallet. Instead of being mousy and begging forgiveness, Blackbird spat at him, demanded her release, and threatened the prince. The prince smiled at this, he had never seen such courage and fire from one so small and young. He instantly liked her. However, since she had done him a disservice by trying to steal his wallet, the prince took her to the realm of the fae, where he infused her with the spirit of a long dead and powerful fae sorceress. This gave Blackbird great powers in magic, and she used them to escape the prince's clutches. Little did she know that the prince allowed her to escape, letting her think she got away. The prince will always know where she is, for he can track the spirit of the sorceress he bound to her. For punishment for her transgressions, the prince sent her spiraling into the future, to the year 2009. On top of that he placed a bounty for her return to him throughout the fae community. After several attempts at being apprehended, Blackbird sought protection in a dark and seemingly abandoned mansion. The mansion was actually the home of the Headmistress of the Shadow Academy. Fearing for her life and her freedom, Blackbird begged for the mistress' protection, and so started her enrollment into Shadow Academy. Personality & Motivation: She is a bad apple used to getting what she wants. When she doesn't get what she wants she'll take it stealthily. If not, then with her new found powers. She has the world at her finger tips. She may have missed 21 years, but that's not going to get her down. Nothing is. Powers & Tactics: She holds within her the soul of an ancient fae sorceress. Her magic options are many, but she focuses on a few little tricks. If she has someone to protect her, she will stand beind them. If she has to fight alone she will not likely stay around for long and take the high road. 8. To do list, Angel thought, Clever. Not that she wouldn't mind a stealaway with such a handsomely hot guy. She snickered, "Well, I'm here for a proxy. Mom and dad are off on business so they send me instead." She looked around to see the other guests talking, then back to James. "Seems like this party is about to kick off. Will you accompany me to the dance floor?"
  9. "It is very nice to meet you, Mr. Prophet," Angel smiled. She didn't want to delve into mindless prettle about how the weather was, she wanted to know why he was here. "So, what brings you here," Angel asked thinking out loud. He didn't look like someone looking for a companion. Then again, maybe she was wrong.
  10. A sleek black Astin Martin pulled up to the valet. Out of the fast and expensive car stepped Angel Mark, dressed for the occassion in a silken red dress. It was unadorned with black high heels. It had been a while since she walked on them, but it was like riding a bike. You never forget. Handing the keys over to the valet, she curtsied and walked into the reception. On her way, she found that not many people had arrived. She saw a couple and a guy around her age, she guessed. The guy her age didn't look half bad, neither did the guy of the couple. She went over to the guy around her age first. "Good evening," she curtsied, "I am Angel Marks."

I don't think he's taking out the Blob, just making it more scarier.
  12. I dunno. I've alluded to this thread in other threads (well one other ) that me and Moira did things together. So, it's sorta written in stone that I have to wait for Moira.
  13. Angel walked back into the cozy club again, making her way to the bathroom. A quick change from pink to black clothing was all she needed to get her blood pumping. It was almost like she saw herself in a transformation sequence. In her mind's eye she saw herself sparkle against a dark red background. The music was Smooth Operator due to the band outside playing a cover. Her boxers and pants show up first followed by her top. The bracers and goggles show up at the same time. In the end she strikes a kung fu action pose. Luckily no one was in the bathroom with her, else that pose would look silly. Making her way out she saw Moira and the thug waiting on her. She wondered if the guy was going to stick around. Hopefully not. She entertained the thought of tying him to the bottom of the board as she walked toward the waiting duo. Reaching for Moira's hand, she picked her up to standing. "So, what now," She asked as she quickly cut her eyes to the guy and then looked back to Moira.

    Nobody's Home

"Well, I'm a night owl, mostly," Angel said leaning back on her hands, "I do my best to try to keep Freedom's bad guys off the streets then. No real superpowers, but I got a few magical items that help me out." She shrugged, "I'm in it for the kicks and thrills, really. Making the city safer is a perk. Else I could be donating to the Help-A-Hero funds. Of which I do." Angel stopped her rambling, "So, yeah." Before she could speak again, she pulled a vibrating phone from one of her deep pockets. "Now," she said with an upward inflection of happiness, "Awesome. Be there in an hour. Kiss that pink slip goodbye while you're at it!" She looked to Stesha with a smile and took her hand. "Sorry to run out so quickly. It was nice meeting you. Maybe you, me and Moira can get together sometime? Hope your blind date goes well. Bye!" With that burst of words she quickly made her way out of the house.

    Nobody's Home

"Very small indeed," Angel said with a look of reminiscing. The cousin Stesha was refering to was living nicely in Manhattan. For all intensive purposes, it was an arranged marriage, but they hit it off perfectly. Sometimes you get lucky. Angel shook her head with a smile as she walked over to the bed. She remembered what went on in that bed with Moira. It was magic. "Me and Moira met at a jazz club," she said with a smile, "I'll never forget the first time I met her" She sighed happily, "We went out on an adventure that night. Doing things that heroes do." Looking Stesha up and down, she nodded, "So what's your story, princess? How did you meet Moira?"

"No no no no no," Angel fired off with rapid succession in an amused tone, "Not yet. Too young for that." She sighed, "OK, you might have seen me in the news a lot. I'm one of those rich idiots with no day job the media likes to pester," she snickered. "Apparently if you're rich, you're interesting. Forgive me for being evasive."
  20. Looking at the thugs, Angel weighed her options. She definitely wanted to plow in the thugs but something about the ambulance was suspicious. Thugs or ambulance, she thought., I could definitely hit all of them at once like they are right now. Suddenly she snapped back to the situation at hand. The ambulance was getting away! Taking off after it she growled. The thugs would be spared her righteous justice.

    Nobody's Home

Angel knew the horror of blind dates. They'd tell you he was nice and then you'd end up with some ponce who was more interested in his bankbook to impress you than actually doing anything. Worse yet, those pricks act like you owe them yourself afterwards. No good could come of this. Then again, the princess could come from a different social stock. She looked the part though. "The Knights," Angel questioned curiously, "No, but I've heard good things about them. Real mysterious types though." She wondered id she should keep the princess in the dark of her real nature. Would it be rude to do so?
