  1. I talked to you about this last night, but it'd be good to put it in writing I was thinking of limiting it to just powers Ares and Aprodite would have. And you're right, she doesnt have her own portfolio, so she'd have to draw it from them. Does this work?
  2. The drive home was long and somber. Moira collected her thoughts. She was about to go into space. Not just space, a whole other world. The floating intangible man even said there might be time for a visit to other places. This was all and good, but what about the lifeless body floating in space now? The one that had impregnated her mind with thoughts that she didn't understand? By the time she got home it seemed Dark Star wasn't there. She sighed and left the hiking supplies in the car. Walking up to the door, she wondered if he had even been there. Maybe an hour was too long of a wait. When she opened the door she saw the answer to her question floating in her living room. She gasped, "Jesus! Don't sneak up on me like that!" Taking a deep breath, she calmed down, "Hopefully I didn't keep you waiting for long." Looking around she sighed, "Well, I would be polite and offer you some amenities but it seems I didn't stock the house for a ghost." She paused, "Not that you're a ghost... are you?" She shrugged as she walked toward her closet, beckoning him to follow her,"Is there anything I need to pack?"
  3. The bartender took a look at the driver's license. The picture on the card did not do the girl justice. Then again, no driver's license picture ever helped anyone. "A long way from home," she said with a smile, sliding the fake ID back to her. "So, what brings you all the way out here," she asks as she set up to make the drink. Moira smiled as she counted the winnings as her three other companions waved goodbye to their newly beaten opponents. "Man," she sarcastically cleared her throat, "anybody thirsty?" "Think we got time for one more game," Jeremy asked. "Always ready for another," David replied, "but some drinks would be good about right now." "You guys rack em up," Moira said slipping her part of the money in the top of her shirt and handed the rest, separated three ways, to Linda, "I'll be back in a few with drinks."
  4. Moira rushed to O'Ren after the threat was over. She hugged him and held on, leaning her forehead on his chest. Her tone was joyous, but fraught with disappointment, "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything." Before she could address the Scarab, giving her a definite 'Yeah, let's split', the man who would be jailer to his kind entered the room. A little bit unnerved, she situated herself behind O'Ren, still holding on to him. Peeking over his shoulder, she got a good look at the Master Mage. While he talked, Moira whispered in O'Ren's ear, "Now I really wanna get outta here."
  5. Thread for Grimalkin and Divine
  6. Saturday evening was always a busy time at Morley's. No matter how hectic it was, people always seemed to have a good time there. It was as if Dionysus himself watched over the festivities. If not the god of revelry, then Moira had her business in order. The child of Ares and Aphrodite used to think getting away from her old life was of the utmost importance to starting her career as a superhero. As time marched on though, she found out that having one foot stuck in reality wan't a bad thing. Her old friends, no, her family was here. And her new friends had a place to hang around. Tonight was nothing special. A local jazz band was booked to play later on. At the pool tables, Moira and a few friends were earning some cash from some new guys. It was a good night.
  7. The Create Object power she has now is supposed to be something to show she has Godly Powers. As a fledgling goddess, she does have a little bit of control over her abilities (not mind-blowing earth-shattering power, just a little). That said, this is not her drawing power from the Greek Pantheon, this is her being herself.
  8. In light of the recent house rule changes, Divine must drop 3 ranks of Impervious Toughness. I would also like to drop Create Object. This will give me 13 points. I would like to buy 2 ranks of Magical Mastery and rename it Godly Powers. That is 12 points. I would also like to buy 1 rank of Luck
  9. Moira chuckled at the thought of riding The Emissary like a pony. She playfully brushed the small of his back like petting a horse. "Good boy," she said with a teasing smile. Pushing down on him, she made sure he was steadily floating. No give, she thought, this will be fun. Taking a side-saddle seat on his lower back, she took off her sandals. The first thing she noticed when she wrapped her leggs around him was his build. It felt muscular, but comfortable. Pony? More like a Clydesdale, she blushed as her thoughts complimented him. It took her a few times to find a place to sit. She cursed wearing a dress that only reached her mid-thigh, seeing if he could look back, he'd get a full view. Putting her sandals in front of her, she held them down against him, blocking the sight. "Ready when you are."
  10. to grab the necro king (1d20+7=10) HP Reroll +10 if 10 or lower (1d20+7=21) Grapple Check! (1d20+20=29) HP Reroll Grapple check (+10 id 10 or lower) (1d20+20=29)
  11. Moira watched the demon... no, the man, get sucked into the very pits of Hell. The scene kept playing over and over in her mind to the points of her world slowing down as she watched it. A mental image that she would keep, no matter how she tried to forget. She couldn't let that happen to O'Ren! With a burst of speed she flew at the monster, trying to tackle it at she did the woman crumpled on the floor.
  12. Once Moira gets the number of her threads down to two or three, i'd like to discuss how she would do this. Maybe an Olympian testing?
  13. Hm, Moira thought about it and it made sense, It can't be comfortable laying like that for a long time. But how can we do this? She thought about the cartoon she saw with the Centurion flying around with the female lead on his feet, holding on to him. Nah. Then, like a light bulb going off in the dark, she presented a better idea, "I think i'm strong enough to ride on your back,"she paused, "if that's not a problem for you."
  14. Moira smiled thankfully at Emissary, "That will be OK." She had never been flying before. This would be an experience to remember. Then again, he wasn't going to fly her around like some kind of magical steed. She blushed at the thought of asking him for a joyride. Maybe later, she thought.
  15. Moira wondered what music was like on Je'la's home world. How different could it be? Hopefully she was enjoying it. The car started moving again after the traffic light turned green. It didn't have fat to move as Yashida's Garden was a turn right from the light. "So, what kind of food do you like to eat," Moira questioned her guest as she pulled into a parking space and turned off the car.
  16. Grapple Check (1d20+20=27) Power Attacking Sister Sixtus (DC20 Toughness if hit) (1d20+2=6)
  17. Moira thought long and hard within the few seconds of utter carnage. This woman had burned her soul. This woman had just summoned a demon. Desparate times called for desparate measures, but could she really take a life? Even though she had the power to crush this woman's skull at the moment, she still had some bit of human compassion. Her mind told her to do it, but her heart wouldn't let her. In anger and rage and fear, Moira reached back and slammed her fist into Sixtus's chest. A few broken bones and a sickening crunch, but Sixtus wouldn't be dead.
  18. Moira's stare turned glassy when she heard the words 'Wreck Room'. That coupled with the thoughts of meeting Daedalus put visions of her joining the Freedom League in her head. Flying in the air with Captain Thunder and Lady Liberty (even though she couldn't). Busting criminals with The Bowman and The Raven. Just hanging around with Johnny Rocket. She even caught a glimpse of her hypothetical costume. Coming back to reality a split second later, she remembered why she was here. This was not a horn-in-on-the-Freedom-League visit. This was to teach her about being a real hero. "Not that I wouldn't love to visit Freedom Hall," she said with a appreciative tone, "but I'd prefer to get my experience in the field."
  19. "I've never tested my jumping skills," Moira thought alloud, "I'm guessing with all this strength it could be useful." Looking to The Emissary she smiled, "I think the jumping thing could work. If it wouldn't be a problem, I would like to test them out today." She pauses with a split second blank stare and then speaks in a curious tone, "You can catch me if I fall, right?"
  20. charging attack and grapple (1d20+9=24, 1d20+20=21)
