  1. Moira scooted to the front of her seat, trying to get as close as she could to the Emissary without trying to invade his personal space. "Before I answer that question, I must ask you a question." She was quiet for a second as she collected her thoughts on what she would say. Staring directly at him with with an ominous look, her voice was a bit quieter, "Can you keep a secret?"
  2. Smiling at the fact that she just flattered someone with the truth, Moira sat in the chair as she was instructed. She was expecting it to be "office cozy" (good to look at but hard as a rock to sit in). Pleasantly surprised, it was one of the softer chairs she had ever sat in. Trying to keep her business-like composure, she crossed one leg over the other and sat up straight. "It's not that I can't get a good start on my own. It's," She paused for a second trying to recall a term that would suit her current dilemma, "ethics? You know, superhero ethics. Being a good guy while being a good guy." She looked to The Emissary to see if she was coming off as some babbling child.
  3. Moira looked around the room as she entered. She was generally impressed. It was not every day you got to see this type of decor. Seeing all this, she wished that she would have dressed better for the occasion. Curtseying, she extended her hand in greeting for the Emissary, "And it is a pleasure to meet you, sir. Yessir, I have come to learn from you the ways of being a superhero. Not just any type of superhero though. I've been wanting to learn how you present yourself with such radiant majesty. With the utmost goodness. With restraint and other things that make you a shining paragon of virtue."
  4. to hit DJ (1d20+7=13) Does this hit the new form? Also, do we get a HP for him going One-Winged Angel :P
  5. The time for words was over. The time to end this was now. Moira didn't care if this man was a half-crazed god bent on destroying reality or just some punk with bad taste in music. The panicked mob below him was enough to set her off, but then he had to threaten her city. She lunged for... whatever he was now and totally misses the mark.
  6. Still smiling, Moira thanked the guard as she took directions. The building wasnt that hard to navigate. She found the office with ease. After knocking on the door she went for a last second dust off, making sure nothing was out of place andeverything was perfect to meet The Emissary.
  7. Moira smiled warmly as straightened herself up to a proper poise, letting her voice flow into a business-like tone, "My name is Divine. I am looking to talk to him about the ups and downs of hero life. A lesson on what it means to be a superhero, if you will."
  8. Moira had always wondered what being a true superhero was like. Ever since that run in with a whole bunch of them last year, she constantly found herself looking up information about them. What really interested her was the shining paragons of light that everyone looked up to. The reason she wanted to be a hero was a bit selfish, but she had never lost sight of what being a good person meant. Though, maybe someone could give her some pointers. After searching for a while, she found a name: The Emissary. An ambassador from Utopia Isle. He was an activist for some good caauses and basically all around good guy. She would have to go through the Freedom League security to meet him though. Upon reaching the gates of the Embassy, she was met by a guard. "Hello, I am here to meet with The Emissary."
  9. Though Moira stood in awe of meeting a living legend, that was quickly changed when Hellbound walked in the door. "O'Ren," she quickly bounced over to him to give him a hug, "how's it been?" Before the question could be answered, Avenger walked in. While Avenger was explaining his plan, Moira noted, "I thought holy items only worked on vampires."
  10. Moira noticed Je'la trepidation. Beckoning her in to the vehicle, "It's OK, it's not going to hurt you." Clearly all alien civilizations aren't as advanced as she saw on her trip with Dark Star. She wondered how they got around on her planet, and exactly where she was from. After closing her own door, Moira reach over Je'la and closed the door for her, as the space woman seemed to not know what to do there. Putting the key into the ignition, Moira cranked the car. "Do you listen to music on your planet," she asked as she put in a CD. The folk rock cover band, The Vigilantes, softly filled the air. The car began to move after she asked her question.
  11. Moira smiled nervously as the space woman punched her fists together. She wasn't going to ask unless it got physical, then it would be less asking more subduing the alien. Then again, the mysterious woman was an alien, what kind of alien physiology did she have? Could she eat normal food? Would the water burn her when they tried to clean her up? All of these questions would be answered in due time. "Alright, let's go," Moira nodded with more of a greeting smile, "You have to try some of Yashida's Garden." As they walked to the end of the parking lot, Moira pulled out her keys and pressed the unlock button. The car made a a short noise as the lights blinked once. "I'm guessing you can't drive," Moira chuckled as she got in the driver's seat, "so you can ride shotgun." Opening the passenger door, she waited for Je'la to get in.
  12. If she were to go for ahero lesson it'd be with a shining paragon of virtue type. If you're good with it, I am too.
  13. Is the embassy open like that? How much information about The Emissary would she know with a Well-Informed check?
  14. If you'd have her, Divine needs a lesson on the finer art of being a hero.
  15. Moira stopped digging through the pile of junk and looked to Dark Star with a sigh. Standing up, she wielded a small spade and pointed it loosely at him with her other hand on her hip, "I guess you know more than me. If you're sure his people will find him, we'll do it your way." She began packing the hiking gear back into its normal cases and bags, "I have a car near the road. You do what you have to do with the dearly departed." After finding a piece of paper and a pen, she scribbled down an address, "You can meet me here." Whe she tried to hand it to the insubstantial hero she blushed, "Well, you can meet me there," she said showing him the address on the paper.
  16. Moira thought about it for a moment and then gasped, "You're not gonna fling him into space are you?" She holds the alien close to her, "We have to treat the dead with more respect than that!" Gently laying the body on the ground, she walks over to the pile of hiking junk, "Luckily, I happen to have a shovel."
  17. Was the space woman trying to sneeze? Moira watched witch a confused smile. Putting two and two together, she surmised she didn't want the help, but the girl looked famished and she wasnt doing to get anything tasty out of the trash. "It's fine," Moira said, "It's customary on our planet to buy hungry people food. Plus, I can get you a nice place to sleep."
  18. "Dark Star," Moira cordially greeted the one she knew, "How was your day?" She looked around for this Scarab character, finally setting eyes on the only other person she could see, Wesley. "Wait, you're not The Scarab," she held out her hand to him, "but I am Divine."
  19. Is that hiding thoughts a reflexive thing or do you active have to know you're hiding your thoughts?
  20. Moira looked somewhat confused, "How is this transport going to work? I mean, do you have some invisible jet somewhere?" She looked at the dead body she held and then back to Dark Star with frightened eyes, "Also, how am I going to explain this to my neighbors?"
  21. Moira could not believe her eyes. What was this woman doing here? She wondered what the procedure was for finding a lost alien. The space woman didn't need a shelter, she needed an English lesson and food. "I can get you food," Moira smiled as she put her hand on the woman's shoulder, "Real food that doesn't have flies on it."
  22. It was last call at Morley's. When Moira was here that late, it wasn't usually for entertainment, it was to watch for the rough crowd. Fortunately there wasn't anything to worry about tonight. After everybody left, she said her goodbyes to the cleanup crew and left. Before she could get to her car she heard rustling from the dumpster area. Normally this wouldn't bother her, but the sounds didn't sound like stray animals fighting over scraps. Her pulse quickened as she powerwalked over to the darkened area. "If there's anyone in there, I'm gonna have to ask that you please come out," her voice was not judgemental, but it was a bit terse, "There are shelters you can be in, much nicer than this."
  23. The full round version of intimidate He's still shaken from the demoralize until the end of my turn, and if he thinks people beating him up is intimidating, I get +2 So, result of 40/42 against his intimidate, sense motive, or will with a -2 penalty
  24. Moira's voice turned into a low growl as her face met the DJ's personal space, nose-to-nose, "One last warning: if you want to keep major parts of your body intact, let these people go and leave now."
  25. Moira rolled over to the bedside table as her cellphone buzzed a folk rock cover tune by The Vigilantes. When she answered the growling voice stunned her. It took a second to notice the growling voice, but she remembered the voice from the sewer a couple weeks ago. It was a friend of Jack's, Avenger. By the time she said something, the voice disappeared. She hung up the phone and looked at the clock, it was noon. Picking herself out of bed and grabbing a robe, she headed to the restroom to get a shower and get ready to face the day (or what was left of it). When she got to her destination, she saw that Stephanie had already occupied the shower. She yawned and leaned against the wall, grabbing a towel off the rack. When Stephanie exited the shower she handed her the towel, "Morning, sunshine." Stephanie greeted her with a smile as she took the towel to cover herself, "Glad you could join us in the land of the living. You up for the afternoon breakfast?" After her shower, Moira got the rest of her grooming done and quickly headed for the kitchen. Wafting through the house was the smell of chop suey. "You got plans for today," Stephanie asked as she handed Moira a box from Yashida's Garden and some chopsticks. "Something came up," Moira answered, "I got business to attend to in a few hours. I took my dress you borrowed a few weeks back." She modeled the dark green wrap-around dress by slowly turning around in a circle. Stephanie smiled and nodded her approval. After lunch, Moira made her exit. The first thing she did was make a call to Jack, but all she got was voicemail. "Hey Jack, it's Moira. I was wondering if you got your friend's message about fighting demons or something. Gimme a call before sunset, or maybe I'll see you there." As the sun was beginning to set, she made her way over to the meeting area. She saw that at least one had arrived, a face unfamiliar to her. She wondered who else would show up.
