  1. Arrowhawk got 4 pp, yay! I'd like to give him Favored Enemy (Mobsters) 1, and give him 2 ranks in Gather Information and 2 in Knowledge: Streetwise. I'd also like to put 1 point in Fortitude save. I'd also like to put in a rank of Luck. I know that feat goes under more scrutiny, so here's my justification: I've had a couple of realisations about Luck lately, which really boil down to opinion but, hey, I think they're valid anyway. The first is that Luck should really be called Heroism, as it gives hero points, and as I've played him over the past couple of months, one of Arrowhawk's character traits has seemed to become a sort of stubborn heroism. The second is that I've tried to keep his capabilities human-level, and realistically a human in a metahuman business like superheroics needs luck. There's also a couple of errors on his sheet. His Intimidate modifier is +10, and in his bow the Snare has swinging listed after it. Thanks for your time.
  2. "I've looked in it before, nothing I've really understood. Maybe you could shed some light on what it all does." He wanders over and prods some of the piping. "I assume it lets the ship fly, but no more than that."
  3. The first question is whether the Tough feat from Mastermind's Manual would be allowed. It's basically Protection 1, taken as a non-ranked feat. The second is on Autofire. Arrowhawk has a full-round action autofire attack. However, to attack multiple targets, covering fire or suppressing fire is a full-round action by default, so would this mean that it bumps the actions for these up to an unfeasible 1 minute? If so, would it be acceptable to change the action flaw to another one such as Distracting under the logic of 'oops, I didn't actually do what I meant for it to do' ?
  4. Well, at least it stops me feeling concerned about this computer's functionality :D
  5. ... or not, because the link isn't even showing up in the bar except as some sort of very thin blue line which doesn't do anything. I've deleted all my cookies, etc etc, all the stuff you usually do, but the link refuses to appear. Is it actually down for everyone, or just me? If the latter, I'd appreciate someone posting a URL so I can try it out that way.
  6. Geckoman jumped over to the controls, flicking switches and twirling a handle around (which looked different enough from the other controls for it to be debateable as to whether it was actually a part of the ship). "I'm fairly sure there's a way to open a hatch to the engine. Didn't take too close a look in case I made it explode or something. Some people build things as if buttons aren't made to be pressed, dunno why." He twirled the handle experimentally, before kicking the panelling and trying one other button. Whoooooooooosh! A panel opened up in the back wall, exposing a smallish room surrounded by metal piping and tubing.
  7. Something big? Damn, if tonight is any indication then I'm too old to do this properly. I need to sleep. He jogged along to the edge of the building, jumping and diving off the edge, swinging up with his grappling hook. I think I've broken a rib, winced Arrowhawk as he rolled onto a rooftop and kept moving. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In his room, John took off his costume slowly and gingerly, examining his wounds. His shoulder was charred from the blast, and there was some bruising from the heavy punches the mobster had thrown at him. Have to track down that weapons shipment... he thought as he passed out on the bed. Got to... stop them...
  8. Thanks for putting up with me! And, well... shooting poor Arrowhawk to bits. It's not his fault he has issues!
  9. I'm still here. Dunno about everybody else.
  10. "Damn. I would've got him if I'd planned for the amount of high-tech they were packing. Maybe that'd be a way to track down Mancini. There can't be too many people importing blaster weaponry to the city, and a bit less of that number sell them to the mob." He sighed deeply. "I'll have to do it another night, I'm too beat up now." Arrowhawk proferred his hand to Foreshadow. "I'm sure we'll run into each other again," he smiled, from the darkness under his hood.
  11. "You're telling me that, I generally have to explain why I saw fit to shoot them," said Arrowhawk, following the hero towards the police. "Did you get whoever was running the show? I couldn't because I came across unexpected resistance."
  12. Tensing and readying to fire, Arrowhawk met the man's gaze. "I prefer to walk. Who are you and how did you know I'd be in there... wait. Lenny. He told you about me. "
  13. "Ah well, the ship can operate by remote so that's not too big a problem. Thanks for installing it though, it'll come in really useful. So, d'you want to take a look at the rest of the ship?"
  14. DC 15 Knowledge: Streetwise (1d20 12=14) Let's be fair here; he's new to the city and Foreshadow isn't exactly the most public of superheroes, why would he know what Foreshadow looks like :P
  15. "Very clever idea," said Chris, spinning the blowtorch around his finger a few times before extinguishing it and returning it to his belt. Oooooh... flamey. "So I just press this button," he asked, pressing one on the device and nearly falling over from the lightflier appearing at his feet. Ooooo... shiny. "How do you get rid of them again?"
  16. Chris sniffed the air, realising somebody else had entered. Glancing around, he couldn't see anything. "My gecko-sense is tingling," he muttered, hefting the stereo and turning around to see the girl in the dress. "Hah! Thought I smel-" Insensitivity alert! "Sorry, heard someone come in. Couldn't see you coming in there, nice trick."
  17. I'm definitely not using it, despite not making a clear exit post.
  18. So... many... doors... Arrowhawk continued onwards. With haste being necessary, he didn't stop to avoid possible assault, but merely strode up and gave the door as strong a kick as he could muster, hoping to bust it straight open.
  19. "Contingency plan? Well, Freedom is an ideal place for a water landing..." He looks at the projected image. "That's one hell of a coincidence. It's almost like somebody had discussed how well it would fit in there, and made it so..." Chris pondered that for a second, before grabbing a cutting torch from his utility belt. "Any details I'd need to know about power requirements?" he asked, whirling the torch and kneeling down to cut through to the circuits.
  20. "Back down, mate, there's no way you can win this!" snapped Arrowhawk at the huge brute, firing an arrow forcefully at his face. "You're absolutely pathetic, can't even go to a store without sparking a super-brawl," spat the costumed vigilante, trying to demoralise his opponent.
  21. I'm catching up on posting now; been having a hectic week.
  22. I'm glad it ended up that close a fight, it wasn't looking very good for a second there. Then again, the hero is obliged to make a comeback after a beating.
  23. This place looks legit on the outside. I'm in trouble here if I don't hurry. Electing not to pursue his foe, Arrowhawk ran over and cautiously shoved the door opposite the elevator open, back to the wall at its side in case of attackers beyond it. I need to get out of here.
  24. "It's Chris," said the boy, wandering forwards. "Figured that if we were setting things up, it would be better not to wear a costume in case I fell over something or got it caught in something or something like that." "So, stereo system? Yeah, OK, where do you want it put?"
  25. Chris poked his head around the door suddenly. "Dammit, it's not enough that I got roped into this, but I'm only the second one to turn up. Daaaaang." He was wearing a pair of black jeans and a long-sleeved black t-shirt with suspicious bulges around his wrist where he'd concealed his zappers. "So, Gordy, whaddya want me to do?" he said, leaning back against the wall.
