  1. "Was that the yacht holding warehouse? Yeah, I heard of it. The four supervillains attacked it if my sources were correct." Arrowhawk eyed Lenny suspiciously. "Are you connected to the guys who got robbed here?"
  2. "Nah, can't think of any off-hand," said Chris, walking off towards the doorway without hesitation. "Bring on the testing!" Something I've never said in school before, and hopefully never will again.
  3. "Yeah, the dude's right!" grinned Chris. "You just gotta chill. Go up and ask people to dance, smile while you do it and if you get brushed off, well... hey, it's no big deal. Happens to everyone. Don't worry about the dancing part, everyone looks equally like an idiot whether they admit it or not. I've always seen it as the point."
  4. Oh, didn't know you were back. I stopped checking the thread, so didn't notice since it was further down the page and by the time I noticed it you seemed to have stopped posting again. Feel free to PM me if I don't seem to be responding next time.
  5. Geckoman & Quark, the Tuesday before (Sept 22nd) "I need some help. I overheard this plot to steal a shipment arriving next week on Pier 18. Protection racket. Thing is, it looked like a group of guys when I overheard it, so I hoped you could bust out some of your fancy toys and help me stop it. I mean, I've barely done anything as a superhero, I shouldn't ignore this simply because I don't think I can do it alone..." He looked at Darian pleadingly. "Oh, and nice jammies."
  6. I'll try to post if I can, but my newly delivered replacement computer BSoDed within 10 minutes of opening the box, so yeah... not bothering to fix it, it got returned.
  7. If I'm correct, Arrowhawk's +14 to Knowledge: Streetwise means he passes automatically, even if I roll another one. But I passed by 15 anyway, so that's moot. I'll post once I get the chance to read the thread a little bit. It can be my prolonged usage test to see if my new cooling fan works.
  8. nareik doesn't seem to have been on the site in a while, so probably yes. We can continue if 'e returns
  9. He's reluctant because it's basically stolen goods. The whole ship, all his equipment, even his powers, he stole from a police-cordoned warehouse. He's understandably reluctant to tell people about it. Besides, makes it more fun when it does come out. ;)
  10. Chris smuiled, and began to energetically explain his powers and ship, like a child showing off his toys (well, but for a few years he would be). "This airship, the Ptychozoon seems to top out at 500 MPH in the air, is radar-invisible while having radar of its own. It also has cannons which fire out a stream of what look like electrical pulses." He then gestured at the holographic display on the wall. "Darian, he's a student and I think he helps out as a lab assistant here... he fixed me up with this, it makes 'hard light constructs', or as I prefer to call it, holographic hoverboards. A lot slower than the ship, unarmed, but you're surfing through the air on glowy lights so definitely cooler." "As for my powers... I've basically got every ability a gecko does. I'm slightly quicker and more dextrous than an average human, can crawl on walls, have heightened vision to the point where I can see heat signatures... Oh, and I can identify people by scent. I also heal pretty fast, but I haven't been willing to test out how fast. I know I can regrow a hand within an hour though." "Oh, yeah, and I've got miniaturised, wrist-mounted versions of the ship's weaponry, only they don't fire quite as quick. I think it might be to recharge, but I'm not a brilliant technician and I keep forgeting to ask Darian to take a look for me. He's good with this stuff."
  11. I will or will not be away. My computer has cooling problems, which obviously means that it all depends how warm it's been in these parts how long I can use it for. Thankfully it was so cold today my roof window is still frozen shut, so it's on right now, but won't be later.
  12. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. "Well, all I know is that I got in in the same accident I got my powers in," said Chris, a bead of sweat rolling down the side of his forehead as he lied furiously. "Had some sort of fit, woke up having crashed into a mountainside with this thing and had to watch the deeeeeply disturbing sight of my hand regrowing itself."
  13. Dammit, if I'd put down where I got the ship as a Secret complication then I'd be swimming in Hero Points by now. :D
  14. Arrowhawk met the snitch's gaze. Foot shuffling? Looks nervous. "Seeing as you helped me out, I'll help you out... so long as it's mostly above board, although I'm assuming you know that." The black-clad man stood ready to listen attentively.
  15. A shadow flitted across the rooftops; ducking behind chimneytops and diving across alleyways. The Arrowhawk stalked across the boardwalk, one thought in mind. It had an appointment to keep. Dropping from the roof in front of Lenny in a crouch, he quickly rose to his feet. "What do you need, Lenny?"
  16. Oooooh... it's that big dude. And he wants to see my ship. Isn't cleanliness a school rule? Oh, flip. "Um, sure, yeah. It's stored in the trees near the parking lot, if you just want to follow me," said Chris, as he pondered if the Pitchoo needed to follow school rules on school ground. He took the remote out of his belt and pointed it at the door on the side of the sleek green craft. "Now, before we enter, could we bear in mind that I am a teenager with a large flying ship. Cleaning hasn't really been on my mind..." The door beeped and the hatch folded downwards, revealing the cream interior to be strewen with clothes, CDs and pizza boxes. However, the control panel on the ship was mostly unobstructed, as was the floor space in front of a glowing blue-green holographic projection on the wall. "Ta-da?"
  17. "Yeah, I've got seatbelts," mused Chris, pulling on his orange goggles. "Let's go flying," he said, throwing the remote cartwheeling up into the air, snatching it on the way down and pressing a button to light up the control panels. He threw a pile of... stuff... off of a seat and disentangeld the seatbelt from a pair of jeans. "Let's make Old Man Summers ticked off," he grinned happily, settling into the swivel chair at the controls.
  18. So true. Just so true. Don't assume we're all American. :P
  19. Both. Impervious Toughness is essentially the Impervious extra added to Constitution and not Protection, but it is also a power and thus vulnerable to nullification.
  20. Arrowhawk seems to have several mistakes on his sheet. He is listed as having 158 pp spent at the top of the sheet, but 157 pp at the bottom. From the adding, he seems to have 157 pp. However, he has 8 pp spent on saves, but is listed as having spent 9 pp, dropping his cost to 156 pp. So, in summary, I'm not sure how much he currently has spent or how much he has to spend. Could someone help me fix him up here? also, I noticed several people have elaborated more heavily on their complications, so I thought, "If it helps the refs give me Hero Points..." 21. Well, as a peak-street level veteran, he's probably got more (off-screen) informants by now. I figure he's probably the best way for me to get involved though as Hawky is more into mobsters than gang warfare.
  22. I think it'd be Immunity 5 for nullify, same for drain. Trait effects are a 5 point immunity.
  23. I thought it was worth pointing out that Invisible Castle has disabled comments on non-registered users due to spamming. However, the board rules here ask for comments on your rolls which now require you to register. Thought it was worth saying in case some of you, like I, hadn't got around to registering an account. It's worth doing so, anyway.
  24. "Calm down, you're only making it worse!" shouted Arrowhawk at the brute, aware of the hypocrisy that he himself was quite ticked off at this point. Having drawn a bead on Smash's head, the dark-clad archer took out yet another blunt arrow and let it fly. "Want to mess with me rather than taking swings at the same guy all the time?" inquired the archer, thinking that his allies could do with a little breathing room.
