  1. While Elizabeth and Quinn were caught up in the memories, they had no idea they were being watched. And not just then, but almost all the time they had been in Rome! As soon as Elizabeth arrived in Rome there was a minor shift in the divine balance. This caused the Roman deities to stir. Though they were not allowed on the mortal plane, they did claim that area as their own protectorate. If any other deities stepped on it, they would know full well their wrath. When they saw the deity was Greek-blooded, they saw it as a challenge. They warned their mortal agents to keep an eye on the interloper. The mortal agents had a grand idea! After a long day of following the tourists, a man approached the two straight from the shadows! He smiled and spoke in disjointed Greek. "" he said with almost sinister joy, pointing to Elizabeth, "" the man smirked. They all seemed to be ignoring Quinn for some reason.
  2. Elizabeth thought back through the day. There were plenty of nice things she saw. But the thing she noticed most was Quinn's attitude. He seemed sort of out of place. She wondered if the trip had thrown him off. She tried to assure him that nothing was wrong, but he kept that look. She didn't know if it was him trying to hide something or maybe it was just him secretly gawking at her. "Hm, let's see," she said riffling through the pictures, "Ah here it is!" She pointed at them standing in front of a fountain. "This is when you seemed to let loose and really enjoy yourself," she said reminiscing. She smiled and looked at him, "I really enjoyed it when you were having fun."
  3. Wesley watched the three talking up there on the catwalk. He shook his head. He had to deal with these three down here. Possibly by himself. "Think back to the time before you had these powers. How was life different then?" He crossed his arms and looked at the trio. He then walked over to the dead people and gave them a second chance at life.as soon as they woke up, Mind tied them up with psychic bands. Wesley looked over to the girl and nodded, "Much better." Rock was silently impressed to see Wesley's work in action. "Now, see how easy that was? No one had to lose their lives. You could have subdued them this easy. What's so wrong about that?"
  4. December 1, 2010, 6:21PM After his date with Silhouette, Wesley was intrigued on how his powers worked. He knew there had to be some reason. He'd always thought it was mutation and left it at that, but with Terminus Babies popping up everywhere, that could be a scary designation these days. So he had to find out. Doktor Archeville had tested him a while back during the girl adventure. And if Doktor Archeville couldn't figure it out, then it had to be magic or something. He still had the good doktor's number in his phone from way back when he was in the Knights. Useful that was. He dialed the number and waited for an answer.
  5. "You know, I ask myself that every once in a while," Wesley said lifting her up from behind her knees and supporting her back, "I have yet to answer it." Keeping up the warmth, the flight and the strength to easily carry Silhouette was a bit of a chore on his energy reserves, but it was one he did not mind. He had plenty to go around. And if it became too much he could use other means of getting around. Lifting off into the air they saw Greenbank through the air. Depressed was not the beginning of it. It was all-and-all out creepy. "Well," he said with a chuckle, "don't you know how to pick the neighborhoods?"
  6. Wesley looked confused, "Didn't we decide on six?" He felt great relief in that he was not thirty minutes late. He smiled lightly when she asked to be carried. The last time he carried someone was when he was dating. Though he didn't mind carrying the girl. It was a great way to get to know someone. Out of his back popped two large white feathery angelesque wings. When they were fully out, he took a bow. "Knight Deliveries at your service." He chuckled and then offered her his hand.
  7. Wesley was never this late! He busily searched the area looking for the woman in black. Finally he found her, sitting on the roof of an apartment building. Playing cards. Oh man, this was probably not good. it was six thirty already. So much for being punctual. He hoped she hadn't been waiting long. Invisibly, he landed next to her. when he appeared, he was sitting across from her watching her gather the cards. He smiled as the area warmed up considerably. "Sorry about that," he said apologetically, "I tried to get here sooner, but it seemed like everything was trying to stop me from coming here." He smiled and (hopefully) made eye contact, "Though I wouldn't miss this."
  8. The demons did not seem to care that one of their ranks were gone from them. They focused on the task at hand, taking out the interlopers. They assessed the threat. Four of them made a sprint towards Muse and three of them when to take on Gabriel. They tried to pull the girl down but she seemed to dodge their every blow. They tried to do the same with Gabriel and were a bit more successful. One of them pinned the hero to the ground! "You will not take the child from us! It is too late!"
  9. Toughness Save 25 (1d20+7=22) Dead. First three on Gabriel last four on Muse (1d20+6=17, 1d20+6=20, 1d20+6=25, 1d20+6=13, 1d20+6=10, 1d20+6=17, 1d20+6=9) Two are attempting to grapple you Two grapple checks (1d20+12=21, 1d20+12=28)
  10. Muse's aura and eyes stopped glowing as she saw the events fold in front of her eyes. it was a horrible sight to behold. She likened it to a train wreck something she couldn't stop, but something she couldn't stop watching. When it was over there were several big angry demons staring her and Gabriel down. They were everything she had been told about demons. They were large and muscular and had sharp teeth and twisted horns and cloven hooves. Their red skin and tight frames did not give them gender, but she could almost pin them all as male. She thought about blasting them all, but Gabriel and the woman rebirthing the baby were there. She did not want to endanger him or the child. She looked to the closest demon and he began to glow with a golden corona. The corona became a blaze of divine energy as the demon screamed something hideous and popped into a pile of black messy foul smelling goo.
  11. Demon Init (1d20+1=18) Muse Init (1d20+10=30) Muse - 30 - HP 5 - Unharmed Demon Warriors (8) - 18 A - unharmed B - unharmed C - unharmed D - unharmed E - unharmed F - unharmed G - unharmed H - unharmed Gabriel - 12 - HP 1 - Unharmed
  12. Muse covered her ears quickly enough to not get deafened and blown away. Though Gabriel's noisy intrusion was noticed by everyone in the building! She nodded quickly there were people surrounding a makeshift room. It looked like one of them had cut open a woman's stomach and two others were reciting some profane speech. The last one held the newborn. It lowered the baby into the woman's hole in her stomach. the rest would have been watching on if not for Gabriel's entrance. They looked angered. after the babe was laid down, the two profane speakers stopped what they were doing and closed the woman up. The one who placed the child there grinned, "[bg=#000000]Let us commence.[/bg]" The rest that were watching turned two Muse and Gabriel. They looked like they were not about to let the two through.
  13. Muse could feel the evil energy more now that Gabriel was close. Not that he was the evil energy, but apparently he was radiating it. Like a faint aura. "Hold on a second," she said grabbing his wrist. She closed her eyes and it looked like she was focusing inward. She began to glow with a silver and golden aura. The people who saw this stepped and stared. Wondering what would happen next. As if not to disappoint, when she opened her eyes to reveal a flame that glowed the same as her aura. She saw every infernal beast within a two mile radius. She looked to Gabriel, happy he was not one of them. She smiled to him, "Follow me." lightly she took him by the hand and booked it down the hall. They reached an area that was restricted. She growled, "They're in the back. Twenty of them. They've all propagated here." She looked to Gabriel, "You've got to knock this door down." She didn't tell him the most obvious thing. A group of the infernals were coming to meet them.
  14. "Nah," Wesley shook his head with a chuckle. "We don't even get badges," he said faux upset, "I mean what's up with that? You go in, flash steel and do things like cops, right? The movies I have watched have lied to me!" He chuckled again. The humor was a facade to take away that he was generally attracted to Slick's form at the moment. It was a tenuous disguise. Taking the folder, he beckoned Slick with a head movement, "Come on." When he finally realized what Slick had said he stopped. "You really have a heromoble?"
  15. Sometimes Elizabeth wished she could read Eddie's mind. She swallowed lightly but still smiled as he denied the tickets. She had heard these things before. That was really great but i don't think I could do it all the time. She understood. She promised not to bother him about it anymore. Holding on to his arm as they left, her mind almost halted as he said something about the price. Was he intimidated by the money? Great. Now she felt like she was Monty Hall in this relationship. She would stop being so extravagant from now on. She had been quiet up until that point, just nodding and smiling. She searched for something else to talk about. "So, I've been thinking. How about we do a little traveling in the near future? I hear there are some very warm places out there this time of year."
  16. "Very instructive," Elizabeth said in a smug genteel southern accent. She chuckled at the reference, hoping Eddie got it too. She smiled to Eddie, "I'm glad you liked it. You see, culture and the arts aren't that boring are they?" She clasped her hands together with a look of longing anticipation, "There's other things than opera here too! Those season tickets are yours if you want them."
  17. Wesley tried to hide the nervous with a smile as his ex-girlfriend went into sell mode. "Thanks," he whispered in Lynn's ear. He totally appreciated the help, though he wasn't sure if the sales act was appropriate. Still it did bring a more genuine smile to his face when Silhouette uttered his sentiments. When she heard her accept, he nodded, "Alright," he said committing tomorrow night to no plans, "I can do that." A small pause later, "About what time and where should we meet?"
  18. Elizabeth smiled, she would have to do this more often. Giving random people free trips to places they've never been? There's definitely some fun to be had in that by both parties! She and Quinn spent the whole day wondering around the historic city, hitting every hot spot imaginable. The Colosseum was so nice this time of year. The Vatican and the Sistine Chapel were full of culture. While Elizabeth had no strong opinion on religion, she couldn't help but marvel at the history of it all. Several monuments and parks later the sun was setting over the ancient empire. The two travelers watched it in all it's glory. While Rome didn't make the sun, it sure was a beautiful sight. She smiled to Quinn after the spectacle. "That was fun wasn't it?" She hummed to herself basking in the memories. She had several cameras worth of photos. Of her, of Quinn, of the whole city, and a mix of all three.
  19. Elizabeth pulled a camera out of her bag and snapped a picture of the fountain as Quinn was flabbergasted. She smiled, "Neat, huh?" She playfully snapped a picture of him. "Welcome to the land that once ruled the world." She put her hands on her hips and looked to Quinn with a satisfied look, "Now, we can take the annotated version trip and see all the sights you see on television all the time. Up close and personal. Or we can hang around one or two landmarks and soak in the culture. I'm for either, really. But you're the guest. So I defer to you. What do you say, oh weary traveller?"
  20. Muse: 1 more rank in the divine blast/burst Knight: 1 more rank in Mimic DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN
  21. Wesley was shocked. This guy had to be joking. Freedom Friends was, like, required watching of every child. Ever. He was pretty sure it was educational material almost. Apparently the little trip Powerhouse went on was a little too strong. He smiled, "Come on man, we'll jog your memory!" Wesley flew up into the air after growing a pair of large feathery white wings, "I got the whole series, if you wanna make a night of it."
  22. Wesley smirked, "Yeah, the zombie explosion probably didn't help either." Not that he wished ill on living people. Wesley just did not care for all the dead people or undead... things the dealers made. "So, you're doing fine," he asked rhetorically with a smile, "That's good." A ecstatic moment of silence passed as he looked around. Mainly it was to clear the blush off of his face. It would be good to have a mask at moments like these, he thought. He looked back to her, "So, would you mind some company on your patrol tonight?"
  23. Wesley morphed back into his regular form when the girls got off him. Silhouette was straight to the point. Wesley smiled and scratched the back of his head when she did so. "Well, ever since I worked with you I was wondering how you worked and if you needed help. I know I gave you my phone number if you ever needed help, but," he put crossed his arms across his chest and looked down to her, "I was wondering if you were OK. If something had happened to you. If not, were you were doing well?" He paused with a sigh, "I'm sorry, I got worried about you."
  24. "Just call me Sadie Hawkins then," Elizabeth said putting on her best Italian accent and taking Quinn's hand. A golden corona surrounded them both, it was very warm and relaxing. Witha pop they were gone from the coffee shop and standing in front of a fountain. "Benevenuti a Roma," she said enthusiastically throwing her hands up.
