  1. Wesley sang along with Slick to the chorus. It was fun and got things off his mind. "You can call me any thing you want." Aw hell, he had to phrase it like that, didn't he? He said it lightly enough for Slick to maybe hear or not. Well this was quite awkward. Think fast! "Yeah," he said with a stutter. He cleared his throat and spoke with command "You can call me Knight," He smiled with a definitive nod, "Something you can count on to protect you," there was a short pause there, "And the kids. And everyone." He breathed out and looked back in the file. "So, there were three kids. Raphael, Michael and Gabriella. All between the ages of thirteen and fifteen." He scanned the file and then looked to Slick, "Nothing connected the three at all, other than being orphans in the same orphanage."
  2. Wesley smiled and breathed a sigh of relief as Silhouette (Caroline?) woke up quite quickly. She was alive, that was a plus. Though a million questions ran through his head now. He thought of how to present them without sounding weak, but not overbearing either. He sighed, boy this was gonna be an eggshell walk. Let's start with the obvious. "I'm glad you're awake," he said in a gentle tone. "Don't worry," he said with a chuckle, "I got the number. Let's just say that truck is... dismantled." He sat down next to her where she was sitting. He tried hard to look not unhappily confused. It looked more stoic than unhappy. "Silhouette, there are some things I need to ask you." There was a pause. "I saw somethings while you were out. I am afraid I saw something that you would not want anyone to see in your guise. An identifying mark." He looked at her seriously, "I need you to tell me the truth though. The identifying mark was a tattoo. I guess this will give my identity away too. About a month and a half ago, you walked into my parlor and showed me a tattoo." With one final pause he got to the point. "Caroline, I need to know your true intentions. Why were you searching for drugs? Was the Silhouette cover story just because I found you?" He sighed, "I... I got worried that something was wrong over that month and a half and now my head races for the real reason you were gone. Please, tell me you were not using me for a patsy." He looked into Silhouette's eyes deeply. Hoping like hell he was wrong.
  3. Initiative (1d20+10=11) As for Pop Culture, I'm going to Aid Mr 29 and have it be 31 Notice (1d20+20=23) WHAT THE HELL INVISIBLE CASTLE? WHAT THE HELL :argh:
  4. The vampire was in for a rude awakening as it tried to pull off a distraction technique. Wesley almost fell for it, though he snapped back and saw through the vampire's deceit. This was not the vampires night. In fact it would be it's last night. Wesley reached down a massive hand and grabbed the vampire by it's neck and lifted it up. He took Silhouette from it's hands. The vampire did not need to breathe, no, but it sure as hell needed a head. Wesley found a dark alley, a place where no one was. There was guttural growling and screams of horror. Then there was silence. Only one man walked out of the shadow, it was Wesley. His demonic form gone, he rushed to Silhouette. He looked upon her limp form. Looking at her back he saw gashes, deep ones. And something familiar. Something he'd seen about a month ago. Carrie's tattoo. In the exact same place it was. He didn't know what to think. First there would be healing, later there would be talking. He touched the deep gashes on her back and focused all of his energy. They both glowed a lilac color, the scent was lilac too. Wounds closed up left and right on the girl. until there were none at all. Now he had to wait until she was conscious. Taking wings and warming up he took her to a roof and took vigil over her until she was awake.
  5. If hit DC 28 Toughness and grapple check (1d20+11=13, 1d20+28=37) JUST. DID. HIT. The vampire is grappling so he's flat-footed :P
  6. Wow. These were one of those cars you only saw on those shows about cars. Man, this was cool! "Of course, Slick," he said with faux bravado, putting his fist on his hips. He pointed dramatically, "Away!" he snickered and shook his head as he got in the car. The Slickmobile was definitely slick. Though it was a bit... cozy on the inside. Wesley didn't know two seaters could get this close. It definitely put him closer to Slick than he thought he'd be. Just get to the orphanage, he thought flipping with the radio dial. Country, classical, rap, news... ah here we go, cheesy eighties music. Wesley nodded with a smile. This was perfect for the montage ride to the orphanage. All they needed now were some Aviators. He hoped Slick understood what he was doing, he didn't want to upset his golden... Wesley sat back in his chair and closed his eyes, flushing the mental images. Maybe Slick had some funky pheromone deal going on. Wesley thought about sensing him, but maybe later when it wasn't so obvious. He lightly tapped the dash and hummed along with the songs as they rode along.
  7. Wesley nodded and took the commlink. It had been a little over a year since the last time he had one of these. He looked at it with fond memories. After the nostalgia bomb dissipated, he slipped the device in his pocket. "Thanks a lot, man. You don't know how much this means to me. Besides it's much cooler than a cell phone." He chuckled, "Sorry I can't give you a cell phone." He stretched a yawn as a pair of large fluffy angel wings popped out of his shoulder blades. "You got elsewhere to be tonight?" He smiled boastfully, "I'm sure I can get you there faster than any mode of transportation."
  8. In brief: Speedbump used to be a linebcker for his high school team. Now, ever since he gained his mutant powers unexpectedly while on the field, his ball playing days are over. This severely bummed him out. Luckily Duncan Summers took the kid in and gave him more than football training in Claremont My problem: I'm really bad at spending at low levels. Need some help. 9. "They're mavericks," Wesley said a bit worried. "I think we should keep a watch on them. Especially the girl. I'd say she's the leader." How observant he was, but now little he knew. He smiled a little less worried, "And if anything goes wrong. You got me and I got you." He pulled out a blank business card and wrote the name Knight on it, below that a phone number. "Anytime you need me, just call up."
  10. Elizabeth smiled, "Oh, I don't know. Your powers sound fine to me." She nodded, "Yeah, it was weird. I heard it last night too. You didn't see anything? Hear anything? not even speakers? that would say 'hush' during the show?" She smirked, "These invisible people are more crafty than I thought." She chucked. Still it was weird. maybe she could try when they got back in there. When Eddie expressed his appreciation she felt great joy. It was like giving him a gift that would last a lifetime. She smiled deviously, "Oh you have no idea. The best is yet to come!"

  13. A bright red light filled the area. Wesley was pushing every bit of energy he could to touch every thing that was moving hostilely towards him. after the red light faded, there was no more Knight. There was a very large and pissed off man with feral claws and massive leathery wings. It flew like a bat out of hell towards Silhouette and the undead thing trying to catch up!
  14. DC 27 Toughness on the thralls and the vampire (1d20+12=29)
  15. Knight Initiative (1d20+2=6) :(
  16. Wesley listened to Silhouette, it was quite interesting to hear stories about superheroes. He grew up reading about the Freedom League. His favorite was Doc Metropolis. He was the entire city. Nothing could beat him, else Freedom would die! That and it was really trippy and eye opening what the comic talked about. After you read the top dog, it sorta puts everything into perspective. What everyone is fighting for: Freedom. Wesley slow clapped with a smirk as Silhouette did her handstand. "Believe it or not, there's a lot of cool people from the Theatre District. I sorta hang around there a bit myself," he said semi-lying. Some of the newer 'theatre kids' loved to get art done. Almost any kind of art. They gave him a lot of business. Wesley cheered as Silhouette stuck the landing. Though the praise was short lived as something came from out of nowhere... and it was undead. "Always with you people," Wesley growled, "Can't you leave well enough alone?!" Centralizing his energy, he was about to give this undead thing the surprise of it's unlife
  17. Wesley heard an audible wet pop as he was lifted from the room onto the roof. He didn't know it, but Mind had tried to keep him gone. Wesley was a more mentally strong than she thought. He looked over to the group as they conversed. He could tell that they were four lighthearted friends. Did power drive them to such heinous acts? Why? He pondered what they might be up to later on. He received a rather lewd vision of Mind and Razorwing together before it faded to black. Apparently the girl was reading his brain. And the others? He didn't know. He looked to Razorwing and then the crew. Mind winked to Razorwing before the crew blinked away. Wesley looked back to Razorwing. He sighed, "So..."
  18. What if Knight was: [*:kbatnxyy]... a gadgeteer?
  19. "[bg=#FFFF00]Gotcha,[/bg]" Mind winked, "[bg=#FFFF00]Need a focal point.[/bg]" She placed her hand on Razorwing's chest and all of the heroes disappeared from the lab. The next place they were on was the roof. "[bg=#FF0000]That's always fun,[/bg]" Rock said sarcastically with a shaking it off motion. "[bg=#000000]I dunno,[/bg]" Wit said, "[bg=#000000]kinda makes you wonder what happens.[/bg]" Mind smiled faux sinisterly, "[bg=#FFFF00]I place you in my head for safe keeping.[/bg]" Charge stretched with a relieved yawn, "[bg=#FF00FF]That's why it feels so warm and tight.[/bg]" The five laughed and then turned back to see Knight and Razorwing. "[bg=#FFFF00]Thanks again,[/bg]" Mind nodded.
  20. Wesley chuckled at the compliment. "Sure, villain holiday," he shook his head with a smile, "I'm sure there's some villain union out there somewhere where they give them nice little perks." He looked around again, 'seeing' nothing. He sighed, "We can search around here for a bit." The was a pause for a moment as he looked to Silhouette. "So, do you come out here often? I mean is this your area, besides the Fens?"
  21. Have a HP Give me a DC 22 Will save
  22. The second sewing demon fell over with a shriek! The chanting demon looked to Gabriel with a smile. At least he thought it was a smile. The seven soldier demons were about to pounce on him, but they stepped down with a wave of the leader's hand. "[bg=#000000]You,[/bg]" it said gutturally with a point towards Gabriel, "[bg=#000000]You will finish their work.[/bg]" The voice resonated in Gabriel's head. He saw the soldier demons drag off Muse's body, but all he could hear was the leader's resonating voice commanding him to come and do the work of evil.
  23. The man shook himself and looked at Push. He didn't think that this guy looked anything like part of their group. Maybe he was a new guy? The cultist pulled himself up. He thought about asking for the secret handshake, but this guy didn't even greet him with the customary greeting. "" He spat on the ground in disgust. "" He smiled, looking out at his thoughts. ""
  24. This site is not Paragons/Heroes. This site is DC/Marvel. There are very few undead that "need" rights are heroes or villains. Not enough to start a stink over rights. This sounds like another Paragons idea if I'm reading it right. You want him to drum up support for villains? No, Freedom City loves its heroes and hates its villains.
  25. "Doktor Archeville," Wesley chimed a rhetorical question. "Hey, it's me, Knight," he happily intoned, "We worked together back in when the Knights of Freedom."After a minute or so of small talk and memories, Wesley got to the point, "Please forgive me for such an out of the blue call, but I need to ask of your help. Remember when you tested me that time when we were girls? I think I remember you saying i had non-human blood or something of the sort. I'd like to see what that is. Specifically. Maybe run a few more tests? See the root of the whole thing."
