  1. Elizabeth nodded, "Yeah, I was born and raised here." She smiled, "I went traveling for a few years. Across the country and the world. But there's no place like home." She shook her head, "You ever been to Gear City? Had to stay there for a while. Not the safest place in the world, but the scenery there..." She scribbled a skyline in midair. She sighed a looked at the thing with remembrance. Wiping her hand across it there was now a gaping bloody hole in the middle of it. "Though I hear there was a terrible incident with a museum a couple of years ago. Hurts to think about really." She knocked away the gruesome air painting away. "eh, life is horrible, but when you have adverse conditions is when the brightest light shines through." The barista handed her her drink and started working on Quinn's. Taking a sip she looked back to the booth. "Want to sit here or over there?"
  2. The nurses looked to Gabriel with a bit of sparkle in their eye. He was quite pleasing to the eyes and ears. It was quite obvious with one of the though. She sported a blush, she shushed him. "Shhh," she whispered, quickly looking around to see if anyone had heard that and then looked to him with a faint smile, "No one knows that on this floor. How you got in here or even know that, I don't know. But don't go spreading discord in my maternity ward, you hear?" She leaned into his ear, "I can take you to the room, but only you. It would look bad on me if I took more than one in there."
  3. "You know what they say," Elizabeth smiled while looking over to the counter, "Free is one of the best spices." She looked back to him, "Thank you very much. I'll owe you one." She took his hand again, wondering if she would feel that spark again, and guided him to the counter. She nodded happily to the barista, "I'll have the usual." He smiled back. "It's a bit cold out there, is it? You usually don't come in here for two," he said fixing the involved concoction. She chuckled, "Sure is. That and I have a new friend." She side-hugged Quinn.
  4. Wesley felt his senses being overridden, he couldn't think straight. The lady with the wings was too beautiful for him to do anything. Such a perfect form. It was almost sad that he had to take her down. He would apologize. "Listen," he said with a smile, "This is all a little too much. You're a very pretty lady and all. I wouldn't mind talking afterwards. How about we go get something after this?" Wesley couldn't place it, but that sounded wrong for some reason! Flirting with the enemy? He'd seen worse though.

  7. Luna Moth took the jabs about glitter with a bit of contempt, she would have been mad if the second try of putting her to sleep didn't fail. "Listen, Knight. You're name's Knight, right? If it don't work the first time it ain't gonna work the second, but hey give it a third try," she fluttered some more spores from her wings, "after this!"
  8. "No talk of what room was actually invaded," Muse answered him quickly. She focused, trying to quantify the evil energy. "Though if my hunch is right I can find it right quick. Though the nurses don't want anyone snooping around." She looked to Gabriel, "How did you get in here? Wait, never mind. Too much inquiry into the personal life thing. Unspoken code. I know." She sighed, "Can you put in a word for me with the nurses so i can get around here? I can be your plucky sidekick for the adventure." She smiled trying to get the dread feeling out of her head.
  9. "Well," Elizabeth nodded, "like I said, it's a fun little party trick. But you need better things to actually go out there and be a Captain Thunder, like yourself." She erased the drawing as quick as she drew it, maybe even quicker. Taking another drink of the coffee, the small cup was gone. She grimaced, "Aw man." She looked to Quinn, "Well, that's the end of that. I'm up for another, how about you?"
  10. Wesley was not quick or fast enough to get the tiny things out. Even though he did get an eye full and they did burn like heck, he didn't feel them much. Like they were barely there. "Glitter?" Wesley said, "What's next, bug lady, you gonna shoot us with rainbows and unicorns?" He began to glow a pale yellow again and so did she. She was overcome by the same sense of sleep, and again she did not slip under!
  11. Dazzle 12 saves (1d20+10=12, 1d20+18=34)
  12. Luna Moth was not pleased by trying to be knocked out. She was going to target Knight alone, but she thought, why not share the spores? She was always finding new ways to use them, and drowsy was just one of her specialties. No, she would not be a copycat! She was going to do something original and unique! With a flutter of her wings sparkles flew everywhere. Well, not sparkles, but they damn sure looked like them. They tried to reach onto the boys' eyes. burning them into submission!
  13. "An air of wrongness aside, nothing yet," Muse shook her head, "I have not seen a monster yet. And definitely not one with a baby." She sighed, "It seems like it's happening all over again." She started to walk the halls, "You remember last time? How the... thing said we'd pay? Or something like that? I think this is just the beginning. I can feel it."
  14. The officers nodded Gabriel in. When Gabriel was walking around the maternity ward, he saw a familiar face walking around. It was Muse, sans mask. She saw him too. She was shocked to see him. He was the one she saw when she had her last vision. Now he was here again. This bodes well, she thought walking over to him. "Gabriel," she whispered worried, "what's going on? The air of evil is back. They haven't told us anything here other than the place was locked down for emergency. But you're here, what do you know?"
  15. "That's not static electricity," Elizabeth smiled lightly rubbing her hand with a wink, "nice try though." She took a sip of her coffee and put it down, "Believe me, I've felt weirder things." She reminisced in her mind about the opera. It was quite an experience in it's own right. That was neither here nor there. "My name is Elizabeth by the way." She smiled and nodded. "While i have nothing like electricity," she said scribbling on the table with her finger, "I do some pretty cool things if i do say so myself" when she was doen there was a caricature of Quinn drawn on the table.
  16. DC22 Fort vs Fatigue (1d20+5=25) Init rolls! Wesley Init (1d20+2=8) Luna Moth Init (1d20+1=14)
  17. Wesley shook his head during the speech, as soon as Powerhouse was done talking, he grunted. "OK, enough games!" He began to glow a pale yellow color as did Luna Moth. She could feel herself tiring. Though not enough! She snapped out of the fatigue right quick and scowled, "You'll pay for this!"
  18. Well blow me down, the poor cop thought, what am I doing? Unknown to both men a little imp popped out of the man's body and scurried away. "Sorry about that Gabriel," he said scratching his head. "Here," he looked around to see if no one was looking and then opened the door, "I assume you know the problem, so I'm gonna let you through and tell the other guys. God speed, Gabriel."
  19. Elizabeth smiled warmly, "Well, since you put it so grand-like, we should know each other." She leaned forward with a jokingly flirtatious tone, "That means this is where we do introductions." She chuckled and leaned back before reaching out a hand, "My name is Elizabeth. Et tu?"
  20. A few sips into the heavenly (or at least Brazilian) ambrosia, she was joined by a man. A man who she had not met before. She smiled at him, radiantly, "Well, aren't you in such a hurry?" She chuckled, "Of all the booths, in all the towns, in all the world, you gotta walk into mine." She shook her head, "Now, what brings you here?"
  21. Elizabeth was in need of her morning pick me up. It was cold and she couldn't shake the sleep out of her head. There was this small coffee shop in the Theatre District that she loved so well. Driving all the way from her place to here was a trip, but it was worth it. The coffee tasted like it was hand picked and homegrown. And who knew? This city had weirder things in it, a guy who teleports coffee directly from the place of business would be a great entrepreneur! Whatever. She needed to get the hot caffeine inside her. A good drive later, there she was. At the counter ordering the expensive brew. After that she walked to a table to enjoy it. She took a sip, "Aaaaah!" That was refreshing!
  22. He's a rude jerk is just all. though tensions are high, you suspect it's just a facade to ease the aforementioned tension
  23. what could this be for? (1d20+10=25) :o
  24. Unfortunately, Gabriel did not make it to the stairs. He was stopped by a guard. "Woah woah woah right there," the smug portly rent a cop said, "Where are you going all dressed up for Halloween? The costume contest was last month." Gabriel could not help but feel uneasy about the rotund man's attitude. "No seriously, you can't use the stairs. Don't you know we're trying to keep the hospital safe here?"
