  1. February 14, 2011 Elizabeth had been preparing all day. All week. Hell, since Eddie had left for this one special day. Valentine's was a day for the celebration of love. For the past two days she had gathered and fixed everything right for this day. Even though it was hard to reach him, she had talked to Eddie. Though she never forwardly asked if he was coming home. He didn't. She waited all day and all night for him. But no sign of him. This was the last straw. He never called. She had to do the calling. And even when it was, he was despondent. She felt angry and heartbroken in more ways than one. Grabbing a piece of paper and a pen she began to write from her angry broken heart.
  2. It this still a graphics card eating monstrosity?
  3. Sense Motive and Notice (1d20+20=29, 1d20+20=39)
  4. DC 27 Toughness (1d20+12=13) That's it. It's over.
  5. Hercules was tired of all the chatter. Reaching way down into his rage, he swung at Push with the force of a megaton bomb... and whiffed again. the ground rumbled as he smacked it. He and Push now stood in a large crater where the throne room used to be. on the edge of the crater were two people. Muse's still limp body and the raven haired girl who was hanging on for dear life. Hercules's inner circle stood at the edge of the crater ignoring the raven haired girl's pleas for help. Watching the two warriors fight.
  6. DC 34 Toughness and Grapple check if hits (1d20+5=6, 1d20+36=38) Hercules continues to suck. He rolls one more natural one on an attack roll and I'm gonna call it.
  7. DC 29 toughness and grapple check if hits (1d20+10=11, 1d20+36=53)
  8. Hercules swatted the flashbang out of the way harmlessly, but then the music started. This was not battle music! Still the music was the last thing on his mind. The foremost was making this mortal choke to death on his own anger. Hercules leaped over to Push in fluid angry motion. Though this might have not been the wisest idea. The tiny girl-like body of Push evaded his rim rocking blow.
  9. Can't find the roll, but you passed hitting and grapple check if needed (1d20+8=17, 1d20+34=49) No grapple check, he missed. But you get the sense he wants to wreck your stuff all up now.
  10. Hercules listened to the shouting. While he was not afraid of the tiny feminine-built mortal man. He did have an ego. And thus his morale was a big target. It hurt him. He scowled. It. Hurt. Him. With a quick leap of rage, the giant angry god leaped into the air and let his large foot try to do the talking. Unfortunately for Hercules it missed landing right next to the mouthy mortal. He did not speak. He did not want to speak. He did not want this mortal to speak, much less move, anymore.
  11. Wesley HP: 3 - Condition: Learned Caroline was modest about her appearance. Wesley admired that virtue in her. He listened to her explaining of things as the car sped along. "Hopefully there will be no fighting on this day of matrimony," he said shaking his head with a smile. "If your family is anything like you've said them to be, then I will have a great time." He sat quiet for a second, then reiterated, "But hopefully no fighting. We get enough of that on the nightly job." He chuckled. "I'm pretty sure I know enough. Is there anything you want me to know or wanted to know about me? This would be the perfect time to say or ask." He smiled.
  12. Stunting Emotion Control 12 (Extras: Area [burst], Duration [Continuous]; Flaws: Limited [Calm], Range [Touch]; Power Feats: Progression [enough to fill this opera house]) [12+#/30]) It looks like a cloud, but is a burst. Will it enter the sound dome?
  13. Muse HP: 5 - Condition: The Pacifier Elizabeth hummed along with Ride of the Valkyries as it played only to be interrupted by the theater ghost, Silver Scream. She mentally cursed as the man 'died', but then she saw... he was really dead! She gritted her teeth and then Breakdown went into action. Muse would have to deal with the panicked crowd. She didn't have her mask on her at the time, but this was more important than identities. She flew down towards the crowd, focusing inward on her power, trying to get everyone to be still.A giant purple haze filled the opera house. it crept into everything, there was a mental message on the haze to please be calm. She spoke to the calm ones. "Please, this is not a drill," she said in a calm but firm enough voice. "Do not push or shove, or go crazy. Exit the building in a sane fashion please. Have a nice evening." She smiled made an usher gesture to the door from where she was on high.
  14. Fearsome Presence, which is useless!
  15. Hercules felt his body erupt when the energy coursed over him. It was like feeling everyone of his muscles tighten all at once. Like being put through a ringer. No pain, he thought, no glory. He snarled and stood up, just in time to catch his thrown throne. "Bravo, mortal," he clapped slowly, "Your aim is true and your ... whatever you did, was forceful." He began to swing the throne, but he noticed that the fool was over the top of the prize. Hercules snarled, "So, you think you've gotten off easy have you? I could come over there and put you in a thousand holds that would make you scream for mercy from whatever you worship." He paused for a second and smirked, seemingly taking Push's measurements, "You're quite short for mortal man. You probably have bones that would snap like a twig. Tell me, will you scream for me then?" He ripped the throne in half and roared, "WILL YOU SCREAM FOR ME THEN?!"
  16. PBAoE: Toughness 25 (1d20+14=21) Chair: Toughness 27 (1d20+13=29)
  17. Smack and Grab! DC29 Toughness if hits. Also Grapple check if hits. (1d20+10=24, 1d20+36=52) Herc's a rassler, if you don't know by now ;)
  18. Hercules sighed and shook his head as Push ranted. He didn't hear an acceptance, so he was better off not listening to the angry mortal. That was, until he caught a bolt of... something in the chest. It felt heavy and piercing for a moment. As if the mortal had channeled all his rage into one blast of hate. Luckily, his godly physique could handle such anger and such energy. In what looked like a scowl and a smile at the same time, "Have it your way, mortal." Hercules looked to the woman, "You, get on my throne. This gnat will be gone soon." The woman stood and went to the throne as she was told. "Now you, insolent fool," Hercules pointed to Push, "I'm going to teach a lesson. Lesson one: When someone asks you to be a god, you say YES!" Hercules stepped forward and with his mighty reach, grabbed Push by the torso with one hand and squeezed hard. Followed by planting him face first on the ground and pinning him with his massive knee. "Second lesson, I'm going to teach you why you chose pleasure over pain. Right now you are in pain, yes? Pain hurts, right?" He took off Push's hat and threw it at the altar where it landed on Elizabeth's stomach. "That said, I'm offering you a second chance," he said mussing with Push's hair.
  19. Wesley nodded in acknowledgement of the apology. If she only knew. Maybe one day they would talk about this, but not today. Today was the day to celebrate the joyous unification of souls. Undue pressure on a maid of honor would seem down right criminal! "Don't worry, Caroline, you look positively stunning in that 'paint'." He listened to the rundown of the guests and what to expect. "Sorry, I don't speak Spanish or Polish. Though I do speak the main dialects of Chinese. Amazing what you learn in the line of work we're in." He chuckled. "So a lot of military, eh? I've heard quite a few stories about our boys and girls in uniform on the table. I do so love hearing those. Seems like your family is a fine bunch." He pondered for a moment, "What side do I sit on? I'm not related to either side. What's the tradition for family's guests in a wedding?"
  20. Wesley smiled, he knew she didn't know that this was one of her father's Sunday best outfits. Right now it would be needlessly dramatic to even bring it up. He chuckled weakly, "I wish I could have done better for you. It's one of the few suits I own." He smittenly sighed looking her over, "But you my darling, look wonderful. Red is one of my favorite colors." He locked the door and reached out his arm like a proper gentleman, "So, if time is wasting m'lady, let us not waste anymore."
  21. Godly Chest Deflect! (1d20+14=15) Have 1 HP! Godly Chest Deflect! Take Two! (1d20.minroll(11)+14=30)
  22. Hercules gritted his teeth, "Your words are getting you deeper and deeper in to a world of pain." He smiled sinisterly, "As for your friend, she serves a higher purpose now." Lightly touching edge of the blade against her stomach, he looked to Push, "You my talkative man, I have a proposition for you. Instead of talking yourself into a painful death, why don't you join me? We could fulfill your every whim and need. You could sit in the council of gods. My friend, you could become more powerful than you ever imagine. Drop this filthy mongrel. You can do better." Hercules whistled and a woman walked in. A woman in a toga, she seemed to be the picture of perfection. Hourglass curves. Warm skin. Long raven hair. Almond shaped green eyes. She walked into the room and, at Hercules's wordless command, knelt before Push. "We have what you want. This and so much more," Hercules said triumphantly, "Now, what do you say?"
  23. Elizabeth looked to the man in awe. It was like he pulled the most statuesque being out of her head and became it. She made this sculpture back in school, but it was nowhere near as... real. Her mind nearly couldn't wrap around it. Dionysus smiled, "My child. There are so many things I could teach you, but we have a limited amount of time. Luckily we're on dream time. So, we have as much time as it demand we have. Let us not tarry!" "You really are him, aren't you," Elizabeth grinned widely. She was truly impressed. "OK, what are we going to do now?" "The first thing I want to do is show you a bit about your ancestors and relatives," he said picking her up and flying from the field towards a great mountain. "From them you will learn a bit about yourself and your purpose. Although there are lessons to be learned, take everything you hear here with a grain of salt. Look for the true meaning and not the face value."
