  1. Well, you might want to get Ultimate Power, if for no other reason then that's a great idea sparker. You can still build all the powers you need out of the main book though. People on this board are pretty helpfull with things like this.

  4. Saves are not immutable - Disintigrate is proof enough of that. So you should be able to hit someone with a Will Drain. Just use the Alternate Save (Will) extra. It's a +0 extra, since you're just transferring one base 10 save for another. If it was a base 15 save, that would make it a +1. You'll want to tack on Sense-Dependent if you want to do the cloud idea, too. EDIT: Missed the second part. Yes, it would, but you can add on the Extended Reach Feat to up the range 5 feet per time you take it. So it would still be "touch range", but have the advantage of not actually putting you in touch range.

  7. Okay, we're getting there. Transform will not jack up PL, but there is a power known as Empowerment which will allow you to do a little something like that. It allows you to grant powers at 6 points per rank. That, along with a Linked Mutate effect, will let you do almost anything. Unfortunately, (are you getting as tired of me saying that as I am of saying it?) you cannot artificially raise PL, no matter what. It's a big no-no in M&M. The Mutate will get you most of the effects you want. BTW, I'm envisioning your character as a kindler, gentler Joker mixed in with Mr. Myxlplyx. Close? :)

  10. Unfortunatly, that doesn't work. Not mechanically, of course - you're on solid ground there. But no GM is going to allow you to have a attack Shapechange with a Will save attached to it. That's reserved for Mental Transforms. If you're trying to Shapechange people against their will, though, I would suggest looking at Mutate - pg 175 on the Ultimate Power book. If you are unlucky enough to be without it, the power is essentially a combat Transform at 4 points per rank. You can add both the Disease and Contagious extras to it, but both are going to be Fortitude based. Sorry, but like I said before, Possession's rough enough without the ability to mess people up from the inside. Again, that's not possible. I was thinking you'd do something with perhaps a "mental outrigger system". Hijack a guy, up his brainpower to psychic levels, then mindhack others. What you're descibing really does require Fortitude saves. You can still rebuild somebody after they get blowed up with the Resurrection power, just not as a part of them.

  13. Alright, I think I have some ideas for this. First off, you already have access to all of a Possessed person's powers with a physical discriptor, so there's no problem there. You, however, can only use mental powers while possessing a person. No way around it. However, if you change your powers so that they have a mental discriptor, (like, say, if you tacked on the Alternate Save (Will) extra) then you could use them. For the second, you're out of luck. Being able to keep control after a successful save would make the power a game-breaker, and it's powerful enough already. And the third... I'm slightly unclear about. I know you can set up a "group mind" by adding on the Area extra. You might also want to look at the Contagious extra, if you are trying to simulate a disease. (BTW, very cool idea for a character. )

  16. Just a quick clarification: have the refs come up with the rate at which they will be giving out Power Points? I heard one person voice an opinion it should happen at one point per 50 in-game posts, which I thought was patently absurd. Back on GG, I've only just hit 700 posts after nearly a year. Granted, I'm not the fastest poster out there, but that's spread out over something like six characters. I'd be thirty before Nanowire hit PL 11. I also heard something else about a more standard progression, like one for participation in a campaign, one for a particularly ingenious plan, one for great roleplaying, etc. Just wondering, is all. 8-)

  19. Nanowire will be joining in - eventually. It'll just take him a round or two to get there. And apparently, Nanowire will be going first - eventually. (That's a 26, for those not wanting to click on the hyperlink.)

  22. Nanowire - Dusk - Nearing Southside Junkyard A junkyard or landfill weren't excatly optimal, Renichi had to admit, but they were better than nothing. Maybe he could transport the raw material to another location later. He'd have to get at least a working semblence of cover, away from prying eyes. There was also the issue of defense... It was about that time in his musings when he heard the explosions. Renichi's head jerked around as the booms echoed through the metalic wreckage near him. Although he wasn't too clear on the western custom of "Halloween", he was fairly sure that it didn't include large explosions. Those were only supposed to be during Indepence Day, right? Or maybe he was thinking of Thanksgiving. It was so hard to keep track of the anachronistic holy days Americans celebrated. In any case, it didn't involve him. But should he involve himself? The last time he did that, nine people died and a good friend of his would never move about without a wheelchair again. All very good reasons to walk away right now. On the other hand, if he did nothing, and people got hurt anyway, his concience would never let him hear the end of it. With a giant sigh, Renichi started back towards the scene of the chaos.

  25. Walking around for a while to find just the right kind of abandoned warehouse might have seemed like a good idea to start with, but now, Renichi found himself lost. Ordinarily, that wouldn't be too bad, but he seemed to have misplaced the very things he was looking for, and instead wandered into the suburbs. The feelings of being very out of place only intensified. Adding to that was the construction differences between Japanese and American buildings. In Japan, everything was much closer together, space being at a premium, whereas here, it seemed everything was too spread out. Differences in architecture aside, Renichi turned around and started back into the warehouse area.
