  1. I'm back... never expected to be in the hospital for life-threatening infections three times in just over two months. And no, I have a fully functional immune system, no sign of HIV or any other suppressant.
  2. Have plenty of quality time with your family. They are your real priority, not the game. We'll still be here for you though.

  4. I posted a preliminary set of stats of myself on the 10th, although I wasn't sure on costs here and there. I hadn't built a 10 PP power set yet. I'll throw one together - now what was the theme I was going to use? I hope I can remember.

  6. So what's the verdict on new characters joining?

  8. It being a PL3 campaign, and an Elseworld as well, Dr. Archeville, should have answered that question for you with a little consideration.

  10. It sounds to me like a good point for new players to arrive, too.

  13. Sorry I don't have any photos. If Heridfel is willing, I'd like to join in the campaign. Name: Steve PL/PPs: 3/?? Age: 39 Sex: Male Height: 5’ 11†Weight: Roughly 230 lbs Hair: Brown-black, full beard, mullet Eyes: Brown Stats: Str: 7 (-2) Dex: 9 (-1) Con: 10 (0) Int: 19 (+4) Wis: 16 (+3) Cha: 11 (+0) Notes: Steve out-did more than 95% of college-bound high schools seniors on the SAT test, when he was in 8th grade, without any preparation for the test. Steve seems to have more common sense than many of those around him, spotting holes in logic frequently. However, his physical strength is noticeably lacking, and a hereditary grapho-motor disorder gives him trouble with fine control of his hand muscles. His Con would be higher, but a series of chronic ailments over the past decade have taken their toll (or would low-level septicemia for nearly 7 years with no danger to his life be a sign of really high constitution?). Attack: +0 Defense: +1 (-1 flat-footed) Init: -1 Fort: +1 Reflex: -1 Will: +3 Tough: +0 Trade-offs: +1 Attack/ +5 Save DCs Feats: Skill Mastery (Notice, Knowledge: Life Sciences, Profession: TV Crewman) Well Informed Eidetic Memory Luck 1 Favored Opponent 2: Pyramid Scheme Fraudsters Ultimate Effort (Gather Information) (Steve’s talent for acquiring information is by research and investigative use of the Internet, not by asking people face to face.) Skills: Languages (Native: English, Spanish, French) (Can read several others to some extent, but not speak them) Profession: Television Crewman 6 (+9) Profession: Investigative Reporter 2 (+5) Perform: Acting 2 (+2) Sleight of Hand 1 (+0) Stealth 2 (+1) Sense Motive 3 (+6) Search 4 (+8) Notice 5 (+8) Medicine 1 (+4) Gather Information 2 (+2) Intimidate 1 (+1) Craft: Artistic 1 (+5) Craft: Chemical 1 (+5) Concentration 2 (+5) Computers 1 (+5) Bluff 4 (+4) Survival 1 (+4) Knowledge: Current Events 3 (+8) Knowledge: Popular Culture 1 (+5) Knowledge: Life Sciences 3 (+8) Knowledge: Physical Sciences 1 (+5) Knowledge: Philosophy 1 (+5) Knowledge: Art 1 (+5) Knowledge: Arcane 7 (+11) Real World Powers: Super-Sense: Ultra-Hearing (high-end only) Note: Not uncommon among asthmatics. Super-Sense: Precognition (Uncontrolled) Note: Steve doesn't get visions like the movies and fiction depict. He remembers events that haven't happened yet, as if they already had happened in his life. It's extremely hard to tell such a "deja yet" memory from a regular one beforehand, and to date, not one has been of anything important. Memories of places (such as a bus stop with the three eyed smiley face ads for the movie Evolution, two to three years before it was released), memories of a pattern of trees in a place Steve hadn't been to yet, memory of yelling at someone for a scam before they'd posted their con online, etc. Super-Sense: Magical Awareness, Divine Awareness (Acute, w/Acute Unreliable) Note: Steve perceives, in some hard to describe fashion, spirits and holiness. Churches often feel highly hot and uncomfortable, spells performed by a witch can be "seen". Super-Sense: Detect Chi (Radius roughly arm's length around. More perception than just presence or absence, but still rather vague and unfocused.) Immunity: Environmental Cold (Sustained duration) Note: A form of tummo yoga, a Buddhist discipline, the meditation of inner heat. Quickness 2 (Reading & research only) Note: Steve is very good at library & internet research, and with a book in hand reads far faster than most. In high school he timed himself, 116 pages of Pearl S. Buck's "The Good Earth" in a 1 hour English class period, with full comprehension. Drawbacks/Complications: Flawed Ultravision (Steve can see near ultraviolet light in real life, but it's more painful than useful to see by.) Extremely Light Sensitive Eyes (Dark glasses aren't a fashion statement, they are protection from a hostile environment.) Asthma (Mild, but during heavy exertion it still acts up. Currently aggravated by a lingering cough.) Halogen Sensitivity (Steve's biochemistry doesn't handle halogenated organic molecules well, such as sucralose and many pesticides.) Cannot Concentrate When Hearing an Authority Figure (Esp. Steve's father and aunt.) Schizophrenia Powers acquired from transport to Freedom City: Theme - Demonic sage Serial Immortality (4 points) Regeneration (Resurrection 2) [Extra] [Flaws] [Feat] Immunity 1 (Aging) Personal Hell (2 points) Equipment 2 (Headquarters) Library of the Darkest Arts (3 points) Illusion 1 (visual & auditory) [Extras] [Flaws] Comprehend 2 (understand & read all languages) [Flaws] Demonic Dining (1 point) Immunity 1 (starvation/thirst) [Extra] [Flaw] Headquarters (Steve's personal Hell): Size 3 Feature: Isolated Feature: Concealed Feature: Power System Feature: Living Space Feature: Library (of the Darkest Arts) Power: Dimensional Gate to Freedom City [Flaw] Power: Regeneration (Recovery 1, Resurrection) [Extra] (Yes, his Hell is self-repairing) Power Notes: Steve's "Library of the Darkest Arts" and "Demonic Dining" are a set of real world items that were partially brought into this multiverse with him, forming the foundation of his demonhood. 17 sets of 17 items each, each set having a theme or subject matter. 13 of the sets are books (with a distinct emphasis on the arcane and dark), 1 set is music, 1 set is movies or video, 1 set are games (computer, card, or board), and the final set is food and drink. "Demonic Dining" makes real food for himself or for one other person with each use, but the food and drink is illusionary and unreal to anyone he didn't create it specificly for. The power of "Library of the Darkest Arts" manifests the pages, images, and/or music immaterially in the air before him, visible only to those with souls. However, fiction and roleplaying materials have mysteriously been converted to actual occult counterparts, things that a trained mage could use.
