  1. Er... hate to stick my head in here, but there's something about Air Control you should probably know. In it's fresh-out-of-the-box state, it cannot be use to directly damage someone, so you two have been playing it right. All it can do is Trip someone or lift weights - excluding people. It might not make a ton of sense, but consider the fact that it only costs two points per rank. Would the designers include something that can auto-hit and damage someone for that little? Anyway, sorry for butting in, hope this helps.

  3. Okay, but that doens't answer an underlying question of mine - does Melee Focus add into your Grapple Bonus, or just Base Attack Bonus? I already figured Attack Specialization wouldn't, since that's specific to one weapon. However, it could be argued that Grappling is part of Melee, thus sharing in the bonus. Thoughts? Or hopefully answers?

  6. For those wanting to see some hot villain on villain action, check out this thread here. For those of you with sick minds, try not to read too much into the above statement. :P

  9. Well, I done gone and hit you again - of course, as dense as you are (complimentary, not insulting ) there's no chance of knocking you back. That's a DC 27 toughness save for you. Nanowire did use All-Out attack at the +2 level, though, so he's only at 16 Defense this turn. Oh, and I did not forget about your Gravity effect. Nanowire's current Max load is a rediculous 720 tons. Hell, his light load is currently at 115 tons, so he didn't even feel it when you used your power - sorry. One more thing - thanks for tuning in, Cosmic! Keep your eyes peeled for more senses-shattering action! (Okay, I can't back that one up. Sorry.)

  12. Nanowire After Heavy shrugged off what Nanowire had previously thought was more than enough to lay him out in one blow, he had to reclassify what he thought was his opponent's previous overconfidence. The guy had some serious chops, that was for sure. That greyish aura thing looked none too friendly either. Thinking Heavy was charging up some sort of attack, Nanowire struck back with his own. "Hope you're not counting on that victory coming anytime soon, omoi-chan," Nanowire snorted as he nailed Heavy with another blow, this one slightly less damaging than the first.

  15. Well, there's Southside, the neighborhood, and the southside of Freedom City. In either case, I meant to go exactly where I did. Higher crime rate, abandonded buildings, etc - I figured I could get out of the area without being detected, as I never really meant to get into a fight. You are correct, however. If multiple people start posting in a tread, there is the expectation of crossover. The thing is, like Barnum pointed out, no one is required to go into a PvP battle. In-post, Herifel specifically said he hadn't heard Nanowire's decent. I was willing to let it go at that, seeing as how he wasn't out for a fight anyway. In any case, we're debating over something that neither of us, or anybody really, is at fault for. The fight in Southside looks to be wrapping up, and we'll each go our separate ways.

  18. In my defense, I had planned to set up shop in Southside whether or not anyone was there. It was Damien that hoped to engage in some naughtyness, but I believe that was more directed towards Nanowire than Kevin. It wasn't like we both hopped out of the shadows and started pummeling the poor guy, y'know. ;)

  21. Great, then that's what I'll do. One DC 28 that needs to be saved against, please. I just realized that was the third roll I've made on Invisible Castle for this site, and they've come up 20, 1, and 20 respectively. I've got a wicked inverse bell curve going on.

  24. True, but that's a pretty small pony. Anyway, I just thought that Transform would help you out more than a bunch of other powers with the Attack extra stapled to them. You'll run into a point where overspecialization kills your character before it gets off the ground. Believe me, I know.
