So the order now is as follows: Space Ranger III (20): Unhurt, 3 HP Corsair (18): Unhurt, 3 HP Space Thugs x4 (16): Unhurt Traveller (12): Unhurt, 1 HP Squire Kath'lana (11): Unhurt Arryn Cia (2): Bound and Helpless Arryn Cia is going to spend his standard action to try to break out of the Snare. He has Strength 12, so @RocketLord, please roll your Snare's Toughness save against a DC 27.
  3. GM Arryn Cia was encased in a massive block of ice formed by Space Ranger's freeze ray, his expression literally frozen in place, and he now resembled a museum-quality stuffed yeti. Underneath the ice, his lips were still moving, no doubt having colorful words to say about his nemeses, but those words would never be known. His henchmen, on the other hand, seemed to act well without their bosses' constant threats. They coordinated their attacks against Corsair and Space Ranger, and though the former was able to dodge their laser blasts, two of them hit Space Ranger as he flew into the air. "I think we got 'em, guys, we got 'em! That bounty is gonna be all ours! We ain't gonna have to split it with Arryn no more!" said an overconfident thug.
  4. Corsair "Oh, please, really now. I believe if I were the sidekick, then surely you'd have taken down one of these - " Vynn froze in action as he watched the massive Arryn Cia frozen by his freeze ray blast. For the first time in many a year, Vynn had nothing to say. But he quickly found something anyway. "This only proves my point," he continued, lunging forward to take out one of Cia's men, almost as an afterthought. "I believe you were here to rescue me, the hero, in my darkest hour. This proves that you're a stalwart and capable sidekick, if that helps at all. How do you weigh in on this, Star Knight? I mean, clearly, I'm the hero."
  5. Reflex Save: That's a natural 1! For Corsair's turn, he is going to take on a henchman: That's a 28. The henchman rolls against it: And fails with a 15. The space thugs will target Corsair and Space Ranger, forgetting about Kath'lana momentarily: The first misses Corsair with a 20, The second misses Corsair with a 17, The third hits Space Ranger with a 25, And the fourth also hits Space Ranger with a 21! I'll need two DC 23 Toughness saves from Space Ranger, @RocketLord! Meanwhile, @Thevshi is up after I post IC momentarily.   6. El grinned back, and picked up her hammer. "Well, Shadowborne, I guess we'll just have to...drop our weapons!" she said, remembering to use codenames while out in public. That seemed important! She raised her hammer high in the air, and brought it crashing down to the ground, glowing with energy. As it hit the ground, a shockwave flew through the air, cracking the pavement as it went. At this point, El was less concerned about property damage, and more focused on giving Leon a proper distraction to enter the police station. But it was very satisfying to lay down some hurt on the henchmen of the Ex-Prisoner!
  7. El will assist by using Graviton Quake! DC 17 Reflex, and DC 24 Toughness if they pass, DC 19 if they don't.
  8. Outrider El growled as Creepshow dodged the attack, but she was relentless in her fury. Foam flew from her lips as she held out a hand to bring her hammer back. She caught it, and dashed up to him, pushing aside his awful creations to get to him. Her voice, electronically distorted behind her helmet, turned into a low growl. El wasn't going to let up on this guy until he wasn't a threat to them anymore. "I said it once, and I'll say it again: FEEL MY FURY!" She brought her considerable strength to bear and she swung at Creepshow, and her hammer struck true!
  9. Outrider is gonna continue to attack the leader with a Hammer Strike: I rolled a 19 for a 24 total! That's a crit with her Improved Critical 2, so Creepshow will need to save against a DC 29 Toughness.
  10. GM This was definitely a surprise that Arryn wasn't expecting. As he barreled towards Space Ranger, the emerald bands snapped around his arms and legs, throwing off his attack! He slammed into a table, demolishing it completely. However, if the heroes were expecting the fight to be over that quickly, they were in for a surprise. As he slowed to a stop, he was already struggling against his bonds, overcoming the energy snares with sheer force of muscle. He growled and snarled, unable to free himself, but still able to move enough to be dangerous. "NO BONDS CAN HOLD ARRYN CIA FOR LONG! COME FIGHT ME HAND-TO-HAND, YOU COWARD!" he shouted over the battle at Kath'lana. "AND WHO TAUGHT YOU BLUBBERING FOOLS HOW TO SHOOT?!?! THEY'RE STANDING RIGHT THERE!"
  11. Arryn Cia will attempt to punch Space Ranger! And a 13 doesn't cut it! He already used his turn to attack, so he doesn't get to try to break out.   13. GM The situation was made more confusing with the sudden addition of another combatant, and the thugs working for Cia couldn't keep up! As one of their number fell to the ground, the others fired at the heroes, some of them firing well above their heads! The bar, however, was riddled with laser fire, glasses and bottles at the bar shattering as their random firing demolished the bar. The men were screaming, but whether that was from the excitement of the battle or just plain fear, was not clear to those participating. "I don't think we got this! This don't feel like an easy bounty no more!" one of the thugs shouted to no one in particular.
  14. Corsair "Excuse me, you think I'm the sidekick? No, clearly I'm the main character in this story." He whipped his blade over his head and caught it with his off-hand, menacing one of Cia's thugs with it. "Now, if you were to be, say, an important side character, now that sounds more reasonable." With a flourish, he advanced rapidly towards one of the thugs, thrusting and slashing his blade with expert precision, his hand moving nearly too fast to see. The thug fell to the ground before Corsair could continue his constant repartee: "You're more of the honorable type, but I won't hold it against you." "By the way, I didn't know my bounty warranted being picked up by a Star Knight. But I wouldn't mind you picking me up, darling!" he said to Kath'lana with a little wave.
  15. GM Space Ranger fired his ray guns at the huge Arryn Cia, and they both hit true! However, the gigantic gangster shrugged off the blow with a mighty roar, and slammed his hands against the ground in rage! "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT, LITTLE MAN?! IS THAT ALL YOU GOT? You've got another thing comin' if you think I'm lettin' you get away with that! Kill them!" He pointed at the three of them, growling inarticulate orders at his men, which they seemed to understand. "Drinks are on me for whoever brings me their heads!" He eyed Space Ranger, and got down into a runner's stance. He was ready to charge right at him!
  16. That'll definitely hit, and we can say it catches him flat-footed - makes sense to me. Unfortunately, he rolled a 25! Now for Vynn - he is gonna try to take out one of Cia's henchmen with a Remise: 24 to hit! Corsair: 10, and 13, two more misses! Squire Kath'lana: 9, all misses! @Thevshi, lay down the hurt! I'll make posts momentarily.

  18. El will open with Graviton Wave, so that's a Line Area attack. Creepshow will need to make a DC 17 Reflex save, or face a DC 24 Toughness (DC 19 if he passes, I think).
  19. El gritted her teeth so much it hurt. This was exactly what she had wanted since moving to Freedom City: a chance to prove herself and stamp out some real injustice. This lab of horrors was the sort of place she knew her and her friends could genuinely make a difference. These monsters that Creepshow made - what he turned them into - needed to be rehabilitated and hopefully cured, but that wouldn't be possible without taking him out. "You think you are helping these people. Your experiments are an abomination, and you should be locked away for the rest of your life for this. Unfortunately I can do no more than that, even though it is better than you deserve." She started to swing her hammer around, building up speed as she expertly twirled it between her two hands, bringing it to a blurring speed. "However, we can give you a taste of what you so richly deserve! FEEL MY FURY!" She let go, hurling her grav-hammer in a straight line, directly at Creepshow!
  20. This is the OOC for this. Let's roll for initiative! Arryn will be using the Powerhouse stats with two additional limbs, granting him Improved Grapple. His five thugs will use the Soldier stats. I'll post initiative once I get it from everyone.   21. GM Some of Arryn's men started to shift uncomfortably, muttering something about the situation growing too hot, but they were quickly quelled by a greater fear of their boss. Arryn growled at them, and they aimed at the trio, some of them moving their guns between all three of them. Arryn rallied his men, with a simple question: "Who're you more scared of, a little kitty cat, or me?" The men responded by nodding and charging their weapons, their choice obvious. The standoff came to a head when Arryn cracked his knuckles and bellowed: "KILL 'EM ALL!"

  24. El was immediately outraged by the scene. "SUBJECTS?! How dare you? There's nothing wrong with us, nor was there anything wrong with Mat before you 'fixed' him!" she growled, brandishing her grav-hammer. She looked to her friends to see their reactions before she made a move. There was surely more to this than she was seeing - the Master clearly had a strong hold over Mat. "Yes, Mat. This isn't your fault. We're heroes - we help people, and you can be one too if you help us fight him. He's ruined your life, and there's no excuse for his actions." She pressed a button on her hammer, and it glowed with energy. "So to you, 'The Master', we give you a choice: either come with us peacefully, or we will kick your ass. I really, really hope you pick the second option." El readied herself in a battle stance, and the armor slinked over her clothes, encasing her in it. She was ready to fight!
