Diving into to follow the man, although this is really Torpedo Lass's thing, so Baz is going to play second fiddle! :D

If the water really is extremely cold, he could irradiate it (Environmental effect, Heat)

Just a quick question - is it night / dark etc?

It's after school but not too late yet; sun sets early this time of year in New Jersey; apparently it's a little before 5PM when sunset happrns, so given travel times from Claremont to the Estuary it's probably getting close to sunset; darkness will be setting in soon.

And heating up the water will definitely help avoid any deleterious effects so long as Baz maintains it and people stick close to him.

GO with heating and lighting the water up then (normal heat, sunlight). Green light, of course.

INteresting; its an independent extra so once irradiated Baz doesn't need to keep it up. Normally- but with water I imagine the water will swish around and disperse the charged H20 molecules. So yeah, probably in that circumstances does have to keep it up!

That wouldn't make the water radioactive, would it? Just heat it?

As for me, cold water is no issue. I'll jump in and save the guy and bring him to the boat. We WILL need something to keep him warm. Hypothermia is a thing...

Water won't be radioactive, no. Baz doesn't need to release that much energy to warm it up. Go ahead and pull him either to shore or onto the boat ic which is probably some mid sized motorboat, whichever you prefer in the IC. No need for a swim check for someone as water adapted as Mizuki

@Poncho So, as they pull up towards wherever the EMTs are, Lawrence is going to try to spend a bit of time Taking 20 on Notice checks to scan parts of the amusement park. Taking 20 on Notice normally takes 1 minute, and Quickness allows you to do anything that you can Take 20 on faster, Lawrence is x50 faster, so just over a second for a Take 20 Notice check (which is 28 for him).

Baz and Lawrence have encountered FX, aka the current Sentry Aries.

He has rather savagely reacted to Baz being a giant cockroach, so you can take that HP for the complication coming up.

Mizuki, meanwhile, has ended up eavesdropping on Sentry Cygnus and Sentry Libra. They heard the firework that Aries sent up and are heading that way. If Mizuki wants to follow them quietly, that's going to be a Stealth roll. If she wants to disengage and try to meet them there, that will not require a stealth roll but may require some different skill check. If she just tries to sucker punch them, well...we'll deal with that if we need to.

as noted; most were beaten up and KO'd, but Mizuki sneaking in and Lawrence and Baz taking their attention is letting her get in and gather them up to take them to a back exit so they can get out. It will delay her for a bit from getting in with the rest of the group if she focuses on that, which is probably worth a HP for willingly being delayed to make sure all the civilians get out safely.

so FX is absolutely going to attack Bazz and Lawrence, but he's waiting until his back up gets closer.

This is another chance for a HP between the two of them; if they wait until they're attacked first, they'll be fighting all three at once. If they attack FX before the other two get here, they'll get a free turn on him before his support shows up.

So waiting gets you the HP, while going for it immediately doesn't because you're getting the benefit of getting to have a numbers advantage for Round 1.

Mizuki is also on her way, but she'll be slow too.

Seems good! So let's do some rolls and we'll slow in Mizuki's spot when Sailor rolls.

Baz and Timeout both get a free HP, Mizuki also got one for saving the guards which is why she's delayed, and Baz got one for FX being rude to him

Aries Initiative Roll: 1d20+14: 32

Cygnus Initiative Roll: 1d20+8: 13

Libra Initiative Roll: 1d20+4: 14

Ties favor the PC

Timeout: SEIZED, 3HP

Aries: 31

Baz: 14, 3HP

Libra: 14

Cygnus: 13

Torpedo Lass II: Not rolled yet, 3HP, arriving at the end of round 2

Okay, having confirmed they are all within 250' of him, Timeout won't bother to move, and will use Time Sedation (Stun 10 effect), a targeted burst area (that is selective, so only targeting the three Starblights).

And, only gets a 13, so will use another HP for a reroll, getting a 25 (almost a crit). So, DC 20 Will save vs the Stun.

Uh oh. let's see how this goes.

Cygnus Will Save: 1d20+8: 14 that's a failure by 6, stunning her.

Libra Will Save: 1d20+6: 11 that's a failure by 9, stunning her.

Aries Will Save: 1d20+5: 17 That's a failure by 3, Dazing him.

And they don't get a save this Turn which immediately skips all their turns and makes it Baz's turn

Timeout: SEIZED, 3HP

Aries: 31, Dazed

Baz: 14, 3HP

Libra: 14, Stunned

Cygnus: 13, Stunned

Torpedo Lass II: Not rolled yet, 3HP, arriving at the end of round 2

Baz will

Move action: Jump up onto some of the rollecroster (wall crawling to stick on it)

Then breathe down some atomic breath! - Im guessing I could probably get all three in the breath, but if not just allocate whatever seems sensible to you.

The breath itself is

Damage 8 (Extras: Area [Cone], Alternate Save [Fortitude], Feats: Reduced Area 6 [20-80' Cone], Incurable, Insidious) [32/32 PP] "Nuclear Breath"

Do a DC 18 Fort Save (and a DC 18 Reflex save for area effects). The oddity being it is insidious, so they wont know they are damaged etc (that cellular disruption...)

let's see here

Cygnus Reflex to Avoid: 1d20+6: 17   Fails to escape.

Fortitude: 1d20+5: 21 But is unharmed

Libra Reflex to Avoid: 1d20+5: 18 Escapes, and has Evasion, so she avoids the damage all together.

Aries Reflex to Avoid: 1d20+11: 22 Escapes, but does not have Evasion (What kinda speedster is he!? :P), so he takes half damage;

Fortitude: 1d20+5: 7 Fails by 7; he's already dazed, but he does get a Bruise, but doesn't realize it.

-----------------------

Timeout: SEIZED, 3HP

Aries: 31, Dazed, Bruised

Baz: 14, 3HP

Libra: 14, Stunned

Cygnus: 13, Stunned

Torpedo Lass II: Not rolled yet, 3HP, arriving at the end of this round

Okay, Timeout will switch his array to Time Freeze (the similarly sized burst area Paralyze 10 (Will save)).

He gets a 17 on the attack roll against them for this. If that hits, DC 20 Will saves. If they fail by 1-4, they are slowed (-1 to attack rolls, defense and reflex saves), if they fail by 5 or more they are paralyzed (and helpless an unable to move or take actions). As with the stun, the get a new save each round, +1 each round after the first.
