  1. GM Post All the fury, the rage, the sorrow, the weariness, and the desperation that Carmen had been building up, all of it got unleashed into this one powerful blow, a blow that carried with it the hopes of the humans she protected. Pushing through the pain of her leg, she let a mighty wallop that literally smashed through the Magician's head, sending shadowy substances splatering all around, until they faded away. The blow followed through, cutting through the Magician's torso as if it were a watermellon, until the cane hit the ground. The rest of the magician started fading away, but not before he gave some parting words. "You have done well, Daughter of the Cane. You have cleared your first hurdle, but be careful; the road ahead will only get more dangerous, from here on out. You cannot afford to worry about the dead, for they will lead you to your doom. You are but the Fool, taking your first step on your perilous Journey. And I am the Magician, showing you the road that you must take. So fight, and survive, until you can see all that the World has to offer." As soon as he finished, the last speck of his existance vanished, while the four relics that floated around him burned away. The only thing left behind was a scribbled stone tablet the size of a card, that fell into the ground. No sooner did the humans catch up to Pitch, that the first few demons flew into the dark cloud and the smoking ember zone that Pitch and the Magician had created during the battle. Confusion ensued, as the demonic creatures seemed unable to perceive their surroundings in the darkness. "Oh god... is it over?" William asked, in between trying to catch his breath.
  2. Jerry, absolutely mystified by the spectacle, and throwing all caution out in the wind, followed the light in the midst of the pillars. He was breathing heavily, his heart was racing, his eyes unblinkable as if staring into the void. At first, he pondered if maybe he had drunk a bit more than enough yesterday, but he quickly shaked that thought off. This was happening; the stone pillars were emitting this mysterious light pointed straight at the moon. He put a hand in the light, and felt a gentle warmth from within. "... It's not a laser beam of some sort, that's for sure." He commented to himself, and then, he looked around him. Confirming that no-one was there, Jerry decided that he needed a change of outfits. Removing his casual clothes revealed a white and green suit, one he used to hide his identity from the world, while acting in any superheroic capacity. Putting his mask on, and stashing his clothes in a nearby bush, he proceeded towards the light. Taking a gulp, Jerry step forwards into the light, having no idea what would expect him on the other side. He entered the light beam. It was at that moment that a thought crossed his mind. Wait, this will take me to the moon, right? Doesn't it exist in vacuum?...
  3. Tou save vs DC33: 1d20+10 16 Failed by 17... yep, he's OUT!
  4. GM Post The humans kept close as Pitch urged them on with the chain, the Captain holding it for dear life, as they navigated through the darkness, smoke, and embers. The heat and exhaustion were pilling up on them, on top of carrying the bodies of the two servants with them, but the Captian and William endured it and pressed on, intent on seeing this day through. Above them, the Magician flew towards the weary Carmen, passing her by, until arriving 25ft in front of her, behind the worn down watchtower. The four relics followed him closely, floating circularly around him throughout the way, It was as if he was taunting her, as if he wanted her to know that she couldn't escape him, that no matter how hard she tried, he'd be there, one step beyond. He pointed his left arm towards Carmen, and a mass of shadows in the form of a human hand gestured at her, taunting her to come at him. His shadowy face glared, but left no other means of determining what kind of face he was making.
  5. Initiative Order Magician: 30 (NPC, Bruise x1) Pitch: 8 (7 HP, -1 Will[5 minutes], Rage 2, Bruise x1) Humans: 2 (NPCs) x2 The Magician will Fly towards Pitch and the other humans, as a move action. Pitch is up. Hailstorm Weather Pitch Traits:
  6. GM Post As soon as the Captain heard Pitch, she flailed her hands at the darkness until managing to grab hold of the chain. "I've got it!" She shouted. "Smithson, grab one of the wounded, then give me your hand." She told William, as she got the wounded Pedro's hand over her shoulder. They couldn't afford delicate handling of the wounded, here, she understood; it was do or die. "We're ready here, Captain." Smithson replied, as the delirious from the pain Dennis rambled on, skirting the line between consiousness and unconsiousness, and more worryingly enough, life and death. "Let's move out!" She called, and feeling the chain tense, followed it through the darkness towards Pitch's location. The Magician's Disk glowed a light blueish colour, at the sight of the retreating Pitch, seemingly unimpeded by the fiery smokescreen Pitch unleashed. The Disk alinged itself with Pitch, unleashing a blast of magically enchanted water which split in three different blasts, their pressure hitting Pitch straight in the sternum, left thigh, and right arm.
  7. Initiative Order Magician: 30 (NPC, Bruise x1) Pitch: 8 (7 HP, -1 Will[5 minutes], Rage 3) Humans: 2 (NPCs) x2 The Magician will use Disk of Destruction on Pitch, using a Water descriptor this time. DC28 Toughness Save. Pitch is up (And gains +1 HP, in compensation for the last round's SNAFU). Hailstorm Weather Pitch Traits:
  8. "Roger that, Cavalier, I'm keeping them at bay as we speak!" Vyrdnaya responded to her teammate, just as she'd finished erecting the wall around the ship's core. Seeing that the combat drones seemed focused on taking the wall down, she decided that, instead of taking them down, she'd keep the wall up via her own consiousness directly. It seemed to work; as soon as a dent was made, Vyrdnaya funelled more of her technopathic tools towards restoring the wall. It might not have gained first place in aesthetics in art exhibits, or even participation admitance for that matter, but it held solid and true. Nevertheless, continuously reconfiguring a battered wall with her mind took its toll, Vyrdnaya started feeling the fatigue and strain from the constant overwork, so Cavalier's retreat order came as a grim relief. "... they didn't make..." She mouthed, before catching herself. "... Affirmative, Cavalier, I'm making my way to the entrance. Over." With a somber look, Vyrdnaya undug her hands from the floor. She looked at the droids, ever intent on their purpose, and clenched her fists. She wanted to hurt them, to make them feel the pain, the sorrow, the agony, the regrets of the deceased. She wanted to take out her frustration at them. To make them suffer. Tsk... so stupid, Milareth... Wings materialized on her back, and she flew up to the ceiling, merging with it as soon as she touched it with her head. Once again, her consiousness traveled through this foreign entity, this unknown ship, until finally arriving and rematerializing back at the Lor ship's entrance, barely a second having passed. When she looked at the mindless drones back in the engine room, she seethed with hot white fury at the animate, but still unthinking, objects that had been one of the tools of the Lor officers' executioners. Now, she had let go of her rage, but not her anger. For she was certain of one thing. There will be hell to pay, for this.
  9. The rage lasts 10 rounds, yeah. It's been going on for some time, now (Currently has 4 rounds left). Full Round Action for throwing the rope and using Hot Smoke sounds fine.
  10. GM Post Once more did Pitch conjure chains to bind the Magician, and this time, she striked true. The magically conjured metal chains surrounded the Magician, keeping him firmly in place. Indeed, the apparitious foe tried to shake the chains off of him, but that seemed to accomplish little. It finally appeared that Pitch would gain the upper hand in the battle, that she'd finally get some answers and start making sense of this whole debacle of an adventure... ... Before the Disk, one of the four relics that had been floating around the Magician, glew red before unleashing a concentrated laser of fire at the chains that bound the Magician. The metal melted off of him, falling to the ground before dissipating completely, freeing the Magician of his shackles. And the sounds of the monsters seemed to be but mere moments away from the battlefield...
  11. Initiative Order Magician: 30 (NPC, Bruise x1) Pitch: 8 (6 HP, -1 Will[5 minutes], Rage 4) Humans: 2 (NPCs) x2 The Magician will attempt to use Disk of Destruction to break out of the snare. Tou save vs DC26: 1d20+11 21 Barely succeeds. The Magician is no longer Bound. Pitch is up. Hailstorm Weather Pitch Traits:
  12. Ref Save vs Snare DC21: 1d20+10 11 The Magician gets Bound and Helpless.
  13. -Wiltshire, England- Jerry had thus far enjoyed his trip to England. Truth be told, between exams and stopping crime, he had been getting pretty beat up, both physically and mentally, and felt that he needed to take a break, or risk breakdown. He hadn't sign up for this. He didn't decide to become a hero just so that he'd get overworked to death, but rather to experience the thrill that came with chasing bad guys, and all the insane stuff he could pull off with his powers. There was a certain level of satisfaction in turning into a man made of water and blasting thugs with high-pressure water, or turning into wind and blowing past a crimelord's security, but more often than not, Jerry seemed to go out of his way to help bystanders, even when doing so went well above and beyond the call of duty. That he'd managed to keep this up for more than a year, genuinely surprised Jerry. Nevertheless, though he might not admit it, even to himself, but he felt very proud of his accomplishments and perserverance. But still, overworking was overworking, and with a paper on ancient ruins and their significance in religious practices comming up, Jerry found the perfect excuse for a much needed break. Deciding to do research on the Stonehenge, he booked a flight to the United Kingdom, took a tour bus to Amesbury, and before you know it, was walking around Wiltshire, gathering information from the locals, discussing and crossreferrencing their knowledge of oral traditions passed down from generation to generation. By the time he went to visit the actual location, Jerry had already amassed an entire notebook worth of stories and legends about the neo-druidic practices that had been given rise in the early post 1900s, and how they reflected to the practices and customs of the druids of old. Now, he wanted to see the actual Stonehenge up close, and revel in the monument's majestic naturalist significance. "Man, even with the hangover I got from yesterday, this place is so good for your senses that you can't help but wake up." He remarked to himself, as he breathed in the clear air and ancient history of the place, while also making a mental note to never let the locals buy him a drink in the pub again.
  14. GM Post The chains Pitch conjured once more surrounded the Magician, and for a moment, given his apparent helplessness, it seemed to be finally working in restrainning the apparition. However, as soon as the circle closed in on him, the Magician vanished, appearing just a few feet away from his initial position, leaving the chains grasping air and the previously lodged shards of metal Pitch had forcibly thrust in him, hovering in place for a second, before remembering to follow the rules of gravity. "This is getting us nowhere near fast, Master." Tazel's nauseating voice bellowed to Carmen, a slight hint of impatience in his tone. Inasmuch as Tazel did hints, at any rate. "We could continue with this all day long, but I doubt they-" he added, referring to the crewmembers of the ship and to Acheron's servants, who had been trapped in the Darkness the Magician had generated. "-will last very long... But I suppose we could always bring their remains back with us, heheheehee." Tazel noted, ever the helpful paragon that he is. Free from further distractions, the Magician commanded the hovering Chalice near him to once again pour its blueish substance to the air, surround Pitch, and engulf her in its noxious, will-sapping, sentient liquids. True to his words, the Magician appeared to be keeping his lips (or whatever he had that might perform a similar action) sealed tight.
  15. Initiative Order Magician: 30 (NPC, Bruise x1) Pitch: 8 (6 HP, -1 Will[5 minutes], Rage 5) Humans: 2 (NPCs) x2 The Magician will use Challice of Apathy on Pitch once again (Perception Range). DC22 Drain Will vs Will Save. The Magician is Distracted. Pitch is up. Hailstorm Weather Pitch Traits:
  16. The snare just barely connects! Ref Save vs Snare DC21: 1d20+10 27 However, the Magician is once again able to shake it off . As for the intimidate... Sense Motive vs Intimidate: 1d20+15 30 The Magician probably won't be getting cowed any time soon!
  17. GM Post The Magician was unfazed by Pitch's seething rage in her tone. "Careful that the demons don't eat you, Daughter of the Cursed Staff. But for now, that is of no immediate concern for you. I am your opponent now, and I have said all that I wished to tell y-" Before he managed to finish, the spiked chains and blades blasted through his cloak, seemingly wounding the enigmatic apparition. They couldn't manage to bind him into place, but the shock from the damage seemed to at least be big enough to give him significant pause. "GHhkk! Grrrghh! ---you! I... If you wish... to find out more..." He struggled to finish his sentence, while writhing under the pain of Pitch's assault. "... then you will have to defeat... me!"
  18. Initiative Order Magician: 30 (NPC, Bruise x1, Daze) Pitch: 8 (6 HP, -1 Will[5 minutes], Rage 5) Humans: 2 (NPCs) x2 No action for the Dazed this round. Pitch is up. Hailstorm Weather Pitch Traits:
  19. Continuation from this thread Sense Motive vs Intimidate: 1d20+15 29 The Magician was distracted, so they both hit! Tou save vs DC31: 1d20+10 26 That's a Daze + Bruise! Ref Save vs Snare DC21: 1d20+10 28 Tsk. At least he's Dazed!

  21. As soon as Sitara ran the subroutines she typed on the control panel, the display monitor portrayed code that distorted into static, before slowlly reconstructing into a flat-surface projected face. The face of an Akarnean woman, one of the many species that had been inhabiting the Delaztri Empire. She had fin-like ears, one of Akarneans' distinctive features, and short-hair. Her most striking feature, however, was not her appearance itself; it was her visible anxiety. "Help! Get me out of here!!" She screamed, looking left and right as if she was trapped in a confined space. "My legs! I can't feel my legs! My whole body!..." The subroutines Sitara punched seemed to glitch-out whenever the woman in the monitor changed, before correcting themselves. "Whe-... Where AM I? What's going on!?! Can anybody hear me!!!? Captain, can you hear me?!?" As her pleas became more frantic, so too did they grow more desperate and dejected.
  22. Understood Fox, and thanks for all the help and patience! I realize the questionability of Super Drowning Powers, and don't particularly care to play Lethal McDrowner. The reason I chose suffocating snare was because it was suggested as a water bubble alternative to UP's Water Control Snare entry. At worse, I'd use it no differently than Xena's Pressure Point attack, something to scare and subdue the enemy rather than outright kill them. At any rate, corrections in the seat were made, substituted the water creation power with the following: Snare 8 (80x 5ft cubes; Extras: Area[Shapeable], Moveable, Duration [Concentration], Regenerating, Suffocating, Flaws: Action[Full Round], Check Required[Concentration], Distracting, Entangle, Range[Touch], Feats: Progression[Area] 3, Reversible, Drawbacks: Power Loss[When not in Water Form]) [19PP] (Water Creation) I hope this works for you!
  23. "Annoying little buggers." Vyrdnaya tsk'd when the drones blew through her makeshift barrier. Once more she dug her hands into the floor, but this time she completely focused her consious effort into transforming the ship's floor and adjucent walls into a thick solid barrier around the ship's core. Metalic sounds skreeched through the room as she bended and twisted the materials of the ship to her will, until it all formed into a full wall behind her, completely surrounding the ship's core from all sides. Even if they didn't get past the barrier she created, Mater Vyrdna knew full well that the drones could still wreak some real havoc if they wanted to, but at least the core's integrity was one less concern for her. "Hope this holds them off a bit."
  24. Mater Vyrdna Full-Round Action: Transform 6 (Machine to Machine, up to 2'500 pounds; Extras: Duration[Continuous], Flaws: Action[Full-Round], Distracting, Range[Touch], Feats: Accurate 2, Precise, Progression[Mass]5) [20PP](Machine Reconfiguration) Mater Vyrdna will attempt to transform the ship's floor into a solid barrier between the ship's core and the drones Mater Vyrdna is distracted until her next turn.
