  2. Sense Motive Roll DC 20 Please.
  3. GM "Duh...Duh...Duhn't go....." spluttered Ace, convulsing, as Ironclad sped off into the Sky. "He's going to get help, Ace..." said Jill, biting her tounge with anxiety and patting her 'boyfriend' gently. As she did so, a spark of electricity flashed between the two, throwing her several feet away, where she started frothing and convulsing in the same manner as Ace. "Sweet potatoes!" said Stephan, dropping his cigarette, and gawping at the sight, slowly backing away. He looked at Voltage. "You...you're a Superhero...do something...do something!!!" Joe, in his wheelchair, looked on in concern but without fear. "Jill, not you! not you!" he moaned helplessly.
  4. Round 2 22 - YB - Startled - 0 HP 16 - Parsons - Fatigued, Blinded. Waiting on what YB is doing and her rolls! Ari> feel free to post in response to the crowd outside!
  5. GM The cellar, if it could still be called that, was large - a low ceiling complex that stretched far in every direction - maybe fourty or fifty yards each way, like an open plan office block, with pillars. It must have been quite a feat to excavate. "Zombies" whispered the venerable butler, in answer to her unasked question. "Oh, don't be alarmed. I know all about the Master. And animating corpses is child's play for him. I am not a religious man, I can't say it bothers me. Very efficient, they were...needed direction of course...." Around the lair where all sorts of equipment ranging from medieval alchemical sets to modern chemical and medical. Thgey were computers, and dusty tomes, supplies of chemicals, and most shockingly, corspses on tables. Whilst Revenant spied Silver and Garlic, she saw no mirrors in the liar.

  8. Supercape scratched his head. He was tired, and confused. He didn't know what to think or who to trust any more, although he certainly placed more faith in Paragon than in the unknown creature. "Energy to close a portal?" he queried, unsure if this made sense. It was unknown technology, and one could not treat anything with certainty. But in his experience the energy needed to open portal's was vast, even if done efficiently. "Wouldn't pulling the plug work better?" he said to nobody in particular. "As for myself, give me a few molecules to work with, I can create a lot of energy. E=MC squared and all that. But for now, I would very much like to see this portal, and I am sure my friend here..." he gestured towards Ironclad "..would too..."
  9. GM The kids were quite shocked and excited about Voltage and Ironclad in their midst. Relieved to. "Oh help help!" screamed Jill to Ironclad. "He...he never had any epilespy. Never told me, anyway. He plays football, he is fit, whats happening to him? Whats happening to him?" she blabbered, trying to rouse a convulsing Ace. Stephan just looked on it awe, shuffling from one foot to another, not sure what to do. Joe just looked on with glazed eyes. "Don't think he has epilepsy. Serves him right if he does..." he whispered under his breath, although he looked quite shocked. With that, Joe convulsed one or two more times, violently.
  10. GM "He told you that did he?" asked the butler, his eyes slowly following Revenant. He withdrew his hand from the phone, to press it upon his venerable chin. "I am sure the master can accommodate the price of the door..." he said, looking at the shattered remains of said item "although it will be quite the irritation having to board it up. I shall have to call some workmen, I suppose..." He shook his head in annoyance and contempt. "Whatever your reasons, it was most vulgar, madam. I had been lead to believe you were a more refined creature, rather than a creature of passions, but...ah...well..." he shrugged slightly and a faint smile appeared. "As to where he would be found, I am afraid I do not know. However, his workshop is downstairs, a rather splendid arena for his delving and prying, if I say so myself. It took considerable effort to expand the cellar into a fully functional and operational arena..." He shuffled, so slowly, towards the fireplace of the dining room, and pressed a hidden button. The Fireplace withdrew, opening up to a neon lit, ultra modern corridor and beyond...a large underground complex!
  11. So yb is up but startled!
  12. GM The two heroes converged on the signal at almost the same time. It was growing fainter, more ordered, more structured in some way, in comparison to the painful overloading signal that emitted from it first time. The signal was coming from the park where the four kids hung out. Stephan pointed at them. "Far out, dudes! its some capes!" Jill, the suffering girlfriend of Ace, was peeling him back from making another heap of unhappiness for Joe, when she heard the call. "That's awesome! Real life Superheroes!" she said, clapping her hands. Ace just shrugged "They aren't nuthin' special" he said, a bit vexed after losing Jill's affections. "They got nuthin' on me, I tell you. Though wheels here, well, he got every right to be in awe, ain't ya wheels? that flyin an' all. Seein as you can't even wa...." He paused, jolted into immobility, every muscle going tense, before collapsing to the ground, frothing at the mouth. "Ace! What is it?" scremead Jill as she knelt by the young man's side...
  13. GM Meanwhile, outside... There were several of them...seven precisely, in fact. Waiting outside the Church, dressed in drab and in some case tattered clothing, one leaning on a pitch fork. Like all Fang residents they had some funny look to them, with eyes that were too big, and faces that appeared bulbous and dysmorphic. "Told ya to stay out of our business" said the man the two had met on the way in "only leaves to trouble. We look after are own kind here. Don't take to nicely to strangers. And we be preferrin' that our Reverend, he don't get disturbed by people askin' too many questions. Questions we don't like" He picked out some grime from his teeth, casually. "Reverend' he may be strange to you. But he tends his flock. Says we be on our way to salvation...in our own kind of way..." he said, clearly not indicating any conventional Christian virtues.
  14. GM The bright light of Brittania was too much for Parsons, who actually fell over from its intensity. He looked pale enough to make one wonder when he last saw the sun, and the luminescence of Young Brittania was far too much for him. "You worm!" he yelled, laughing his head off "You don't know how insignificant you are, you ignorant ant. Your blood and bone shall be boiled and stewed. Meaningless creature! Your life is but an insignificant speck! why do you cling to it so, rather than embrace the madness of the unspeakable one! Ha ha! Ha ha!" With that, he twisted, a thousand or more black shades, like crows of oily mist, spewing from his mouth and circling the air around him. "Hear my words, pathetic one! Your life is but a plaything of powers you cannot fathom! All shall bend and gladly, joyously, surrender their lives and freedom, and revel in pain and chaos and servitude! Your life - is ours! hahahaha!" The elderly man, blinded, frail and quite clearly insane, laughed with confidence as the black forms danced around him, passing straight through Young Brittania and clawing away at her soul as they did so...
  15. 1d20=6 Old, frail, and now blind! First he will attempt an intimidate as a move action. Thats a -5 penalty for using it a move action, and -2 for being in a weak position (blinded). 1d20-2=16 Thats resisted with highest of Will, Intimidate and Sense Motive: in your case, only +4 If that fails, Shaken (-2 to attack rolls, saves, skills checks) for one round. Next, given his gaze of horror no longer works, and he is blind, he will use extra effort to stunt a magic effect! Drain Constitution 3 (Extras: Burst, Feats Slow Fade 4 [1 hour]) [10 PP] So, for the new magic effect its a DC 13 Reflex save, then a DC 13 or 11 Fort Save (11 if Reflex save made). Bear in mind if you are shaken its -2 to saves. Then, YB is up. 22 - YB - Unharmed - 0 HP 16 - Parsons - Fatigued, Blinded. NB: Ari, I am presuming that Heraldo is still gibbering outside the Church for the moment. I will post accordingly...he may have some problems....
  16. GM The doorway exploded into shards of wood as Revenant plowed through it. "Madam!" said the startled ancient butler in response. He was, apparently calmly, making a pot of tea. "The door, Madam, the door!" he said, with eyes wide from shock. "Really, this will not do" he mumbled, shaking his head at the mess. "The master will be most upset, having you demolish his home. Why, this building is centuries old, madam! it has history!" With a "tsk" he started reaching for the phone, a rather antiquated but fine ring-dail set. "I shall be calling the police! better they deal with you than the Master...."
  17. GM "Yes, yes..." replied the young woman to Heraldo "At least..it's better than the boat...we do not go hungry, they look after us well. But, tomorrow, we go back to Mexico..." She wiped away a tear, full of fear. "Our village. Where El Sierpe rules. You do not understand, American's. The serpent, he rules with an Iron fist. Nobody is safe from him. That is why we tried to escape to America, but we were tricked by the Devil...the man who experimented on us. For all his evil, El Sierpe is no better..." She wrung her hands desperately. "We are doomed!"
  18. 22 - YB- Unhamred 0 HP 16 - Parsons - Unharmed El Heraldo outside gibbering.
  19. OK in terms of tracking this mysterious pulse down: You guys both have Radio Sense, so can detect it. Ultimately that is enough to locate the source...i.e. the four final year school kids. Obviously powers like Radio Tracking, Accurate Radio etc will help, but for the sake of argument you can either meet up whilst circling for the signal, or arrive at the same time (or near enough) to the kids.
  20. "I think we can dispense with these" said Rene, with a wave of his hand. The chains evaporated as if they had never been there. "Now then, my dear" said Rene, with some consolation in his voice, sitting down and patting the young woman gently on her hand. "Why don't you tell us about it...what happened? please, I know it is difficult, but the more you can tell us the better...."
  21. GM "Good question" answered Tyrone, looking back to his flip charts. "Looks like some agent has come to personally escort this lot back to Mexico" he said "a G.Williams....never heard of him before, but then, I get all sorts of names. Phew...must be high profile sensitive stuff..." he continued, scratching his head once more. "Any how, you can see the illegals now..." he said, pointing the two youths to the visitors office. It seemed the refugees were particularly well secured. No direct contact was allowed. An Iron grate separated them from the two heroes, and armed guards were at standby. "It...It's you!" said one young woman, rushing up to the grill when she recognised the twosome. "God bless your souls, you saved us!"
  22. Need an intiative roll from Tiff still!
  23. :toot: Huzzah! Huzzah! And thrice Huzzah! The numbers of the Huzzah's shall be three, and three shall be the number of the Huzzah's! Four is not the number of Huzzah's, neither is it two, and five is right out! :toot:
  24. On that note, I presume Hraldo is throwing in a compliation over and above the normal despair effect, and going for irrational phobia of CHurches, fleeing the area? (Ari could you confirm?) Which means Heraldo - 2 HP - Unharmed - Shaken Young Brittania - Unharmed And YOung Brittania left with Parsons!
