  1. OK Im waiting on Sorus before posting further!
  2. "Thunder and Damnation!" cursed Rene, as some paint dribbled across his easel and the canvas. It was rather unusual, because it dribbled upward. He had heard the whispers. So, irritated at the thought the forest's beauty might also be dangerous, he had attempted a spell to see if it was indeed magical. But his heart really wasn't in it, and the colours had misbehaved. And he was furious with himself for being so foolish. "Art!!!!" he shouted, shaking a fist at the sky. "Why do I suffer for zee?" he finished, before lowering his fist. "Ah, my good friend Monsieur Mareau. Oui, I had heard ze rumours recently, and most troublesome they are. Perhaps you could enlighten me as to what is happening? I must confess I have been a little distracted...." He resisted the urge to kick over his easel. "Please, tell me what you know. And help yourself to wine and bread. I know I will..." he added, doing just that.
  3. Yep you are all fine! This being the case, I am happy for you guys to Narrate knocking the Villagers senseless, as the chances of them critical hitting you are slender, and even if they do YB has heal.
  4. GM "Certainly. I don't blame you..." he said, his voice trailing off, perhaps with a flicker of dissapointment. He put the book away, carefully. At a slow pace, for the man seemed to have difficult walking, he took Revenant to the side of the complex, and once there, typed a number into a keypad. A panel slid open. "Extra security..." he said, as he waved an arm showing Revenant the additional room. "I am afraid this is where I say goodbye. The chamber beyond is dangerous. It is where the Master experiments on the dead, the living, and the souls in between. It is, I understand, the work of his tome made real. It is why this chamber is sealed off, and I am afraid that I have no desire to enter here today. I hope you understand...." he smiled generously. "The door code is 1383. I believe it is the Year of the Masters Birth. His second birth that is...."
  5. Perfect oppurtunity.... Synth wasn't in a rush. She had no idea how fast, or strong, the alien was. There was no need to take any risk. Careful... She was slow, silent, and patient. She circled up to the Alien whilst it was busy, walking on tip toe, her muscles coiled ready to pounce. She paused a second, studying the creature, wondering how best to attack. She knew human anatomy very well, a subject that was rather necessary for her own particular abilities. But there was no way of extrapolating that knowledge reliably to the alien physiology in front of her. She tensed her muscles, and with a spring, lashed forward with lightning speed!
  6. In Which case Synth will make a suprise attack, shifting damage -2/+2. I guess that will be a flat footed alien and +2 for the surprise round. 1d20+8=12, plus 2 I guess for surprise. If it has Uncanny dodge, as per AAs build, it will miss, if not, its a hit with DC 27. In any case, you may need an Initiative Roll after Surprise Round: 1d20+10=12 oh lordy.... not good rolls.
  7. GM Mud and rain flew into the faces of the villagers, who raised their hands and steadied themselves on their tools and pitchforks. Two slipped down, unceremoniously, onto their rears, including the tall leader. "Get them! Get them!" he roared, as he pulled himself up from the mud. The remainder started to make headway against the wind, then, as the lungs of El Heraldo emptied and the wind died, the rushed full force at the two heroes. The villagers were strong, and whilst not trained in the art of warfare, they were brawlers - clumsy perhaps, but cunning and low. Street fighters, who had the scars to show for it. they set about the two heroes, hammer and tong, left and right, laying into them without restraint, eager for the taste of blood and revenge.
  8. Okay so Villagers turn! They will need a move action to reach you guys in the mud and rain. And so 5 and 6 will reach you but cant act (as they also need an action to get up). That leaves 5 villages to act. 3 will attack YB, 2 will attack EH. 1d20+4=14, 1d20+4=19, 1d20+4=21, 1d20+4=22, 1d20+4=19 Thats three hits on YB, and two on EH! There various pitchforks and stuff, whilst technically all different, I am going to amalgamate into clubs with 1 rank of improved critical (as they are sharp). However, none critical this round. So thats 3 x DC 20 Toughness rolls for YB, and 2 for EH! :0 Remember that fails on one rolls, giving bruises, will carry over to penalties for next rolls. And then we are into next round.
  9. Ok so its an area attack first of, so a Reflex Save vs DC 13 to half effect 1d20+2=21, 1d20+2=7, 1d20+2=21, 1d20+2=9, 1d20+2=5, 1d20+2=21, 1d20+2=22 Nos 1,3,6.7 make it. Next up, Villagers Strength checks. I am raising the DC by 2 due to Mud and Rain, so it is either against 15 or 9 (depending if they made their reflex save). 1d20+6=19, 1d20+6=20, 1d20+6=9, 1d20+6=16, 1d20+6=7, 1d20+6=7, 1d20+6=9 No 5 and 6 are blown away. The others just manage to stay afloat, although splattered with mud! post away!
  10. OK I will probably, whilst painting throw off a Ritual (fluffed as part of the painting) Super Senses 3 (Detect Magic [Visual]) [3 PP] So this takes 30 minutes, and will be an acute, accurate sense of what he is painting (basically, the forest). So the idea is he can sense if the forest is magical (and I guess as its acute, roughly what type of magic it is). Arcane Knowledge Roll vs DC 18 to perform the Ritual: 1d20+15=16 Screwed it up! Well, lets say he fluffs it being distracted by the painting.
  11. Rene set up his easel, nodding to the odd passer by who was interested in his work, and even engaging in the odd polite (and also, less polite) conversation. A hamper of wine and ham baguettes lay at his feat. This was a splendid thing to paint. The thing smelt arcane to him, of course. He realised he should probably investigate. But not before he had painted the mysterious forest. It looked wonderful. And it probably wouldn't last. He was damned if he was going to miss this... Just some preliminary sketches...at least... he told himself...
  12. GM "Your pathetic race was born to slavery, and your light will be snuffed out by the chains of set you pathetiiii...." snarled Parsons, before being bowled over, tumbling head over heel, by the light of Young Brittania. He dropped, face first into the mud. "...iiiiic human...." he finished, mouth slurping the wet mud, the soft pitter-patter of drizzling rain echoing around him. "You'll pay for that, stranger!" yelled the leader of the Villagers "Fang has seen the bones of many folk who tried interfering...and you ribs and skull and spine will be the next!"
  13. Which will knock the fellow out once again! and EH is up!
  14. GM The ancient butler gave a smile. "I see you are astute and cautious. As far as religion goes, I believe the Master has studied every religion, madam. He has certainly had the time to do so. And I believe he has had little to suck, if you pardon the phrase, from theology. At least the conventional kinds..." He dusted of the tome in front of him. "As for this book, if you wish to peruse it, you are welcome to. You are right to be cautious. It is dangerous. But it is also his notebook. The choice is yours..." he shrugged. "And as for you being troublesome. I don't believe you have caused him any trouble. I believe he finds you more and more fascinating. At least, since your return..." "But if you do not wish to view his writings, perhaps you wish to view his work? there is more to see...."
  15. Ok, so I presume Dok's research could at least find a picture of Accurso. He can try to find him with a notice Roll, DC 33 (Disguise Roll is 33).
  16. GM The Masquerade ball was indeed extravagant. And so was Castle Accurso, a magnificent and well constructed Swiss fort that combined robustness with fine architecture. Outside, there were vast grounds overlooking mountains and lakes, stables, forests, and waterfalls. Insider, the place was alive with the richest of the rich, nobility, businessman, and entertainers. Intermingled were servants, chefs, and security - all dressed up in masquerade garb. The security seemed to be the ones dressed as halbediers, but in such a dazzling array of colours and masks, who could know for sure?
  17. "Very well..." said Supercape, cracking his knuckles. "I shall leave nothing to chance. Its just a matter of dampening everything down. Stamping it flat. Eliminating the quantum tunnelling effect. The principle is very easy!" he smiled. He creased his shoulders and neck. "Its just bloody hard work..." he smiled, daunted at the task. He pressed his fingers to his temples, and the shimmering around him stopped, replaced by a sort of dullness that permeated the atmosphere around them. "Just don't ask me to keep this up forever....or even very long at all...." he murmured, his eyes closed with concentration and sweat pouring off his brow.
  18. OK, Supercape Exhausting himself to stunt off his forcefield array. Immunity 10 (All Radiation Effects. Extras: Affects Others, Burst Area Flaws: Duration (Concentration) Distraction).
  19. Round 1 21 - YB - Unharmed - 1 HP 14 - EH - Unhamred - 3 HP 14 - Pasrons - Staggered, Bruised 11 - Villagers [7] Unharmed
  20. The Butler is, well, not lying exactly. But the book is indeed dangerous as he is saying. You get the feeling he is downplaying its dangerousness.
  21. GM A While later...at the Ministry of Extraordinary Affairs... "Here is our lady of disguises, Madam Redpowder" said M, jovially, tipping his rather extravagant top hat. The lady was as old as leather, as twice as tough, but seeped in elegance. Her gaze could have split Iron, which was, incidentally, what her will was made of. "Ah, the young lady. And her...companion..." she said, upon seeing Carrie and Zeke. "I see fashion in that colonial dimension has maintained its particular qualities" she said, eyeing up their clothes with an upturned nose. She strode off, marching down the corridors of costumes and disguises that were her abode, beckoning M, Zeke, and Carrie to follow her. "So what is the facade of the day?" she asked "as you know, my skills and resources are without equal. I can conjure up any mask you wish!"
  22. I think this will be it! (and to be honest these chaps aren't going to be popping up thread wise very often either).
  23. Fluff wise: I think the site has generally said that for humans at least minimum age is 16. I would probably omit the word "vigilante" in the fluff to set a good example (I know you are not Iron Age, but its not worth putting in for other people to take heed of...) Crunch Wise: Trip looks wrong to me. Base Power is 1 PP/Rank. Increasing Duration to Sustained is +2 PP/Rank, then Area Extra is +1 PP/Rank, this brings it up to a total of 32 PP. Maybe reduce it to Touch range? Move Object (aka Elemental Control: Water) also looks fine, but the damaging extra would only apply to water - i.e. you can only damage water. Which I guess is what you meant... I guess you could destroy Ice constructs and water elements with the power? Just a suggestion for now or with further PP, or stunt, a transform power (Water to Ice: as a freeze, or visa versa, or even shaping Ice). Otherwise all looks good to me. Cool. ;)
