  1. Ashley had a smile on her face, "I have been doing well. The students and teachers here have all been generous." She changed the subject, "What was that language you spoke Faith? I don't think I've heard of such a language." Ashley turned to Aiko, "If I may ask... Did you come from Japan, or somewhere else? Aiko was obviously an immegrent, but she wasn't sure if she was actually from Japan or not.
  2. Rycon spoke in a clam tone, now over talking about her past. "" She let her hand churn with white electricity before absorbing it back into her body. "" Rycon wonders, "I talk like my powers are a separate entity in itself... But it is just electricity under my control..."

Related Tropes to Rycon Badass Abnormal: Her electric powers prevent her from being a Badass Normal. Badass Longcoat: She wears her father's trench coat. Bilingual Bonus: She is fluent in German, but she mostly saves it for certain people, or if using it for one-liners. Broken Bird: Her past makes her a little cold-hearted and serious around people who aren't acquaintances. Dark And Troubled Past: She had a brain error when she was born, fixed in an illegal operation, her father was arrested for partaking in it (unwillingly), and her mom was killed by mobsters after isolating herself and Ashley for four years. She's had it quite hard. Death By Origin StoryBoth of her parents. Dysfunction Junction: Her past still bothers her, and perhaps recently, haunting her. Gratuitous German: See Bilingual Bonus above. Improbable Aiming Skills: She is skilled in throwing knives, which she doesn't do anymore. Lightning Can Do Anything: She has this as a superpower, though not much more than teleporting at the moment Utility Coat: She uses her father's coat for protection and utilities she may pick up later in her life. Knife Nut: Formerly throwing knives. Shock And Awe: Electric powers, self-explanatory. Teleport: Her electric powers let her do this, even if she's not sure how.
  4. Rycon closed her eyes and thought for a moment "An interest in knives...? Could he... No, there's no proof yet, but..." She was confused on this attack, something seemed to be connected, but it was so vague, it was like a coincidence. Rycon snapped back to reality once the subject of arriving came up. "" Back in Germany, Dr. Archeville took time to study and teach her the ways of her powers, it's thanks to him that Rycon has control over it and hadn't gone mad with power or delude her from the responsibilities of such... unique skills.
  5. Okay, I've discussed this with both Lone Star and Raveled on AIM. I've decided that I will be staying PL6 and will see where that takes me.
  6. I haven't decided on that yet, I still need to discuss with Raveled first before I decide (I've already talked with Lone Star). Though, if it is the case, then sure why not?
  7. Yes, it does make sense. Had I known before, I would have never made this thread (I need to discuss this with Lone Star and Ravaled on AIM first).
  8. Really? I thought only a gold player could revise their character to PL10. Had I known that, I wouldn't have suggested the rule change. One thing if I go to PL10 is that I'll leave Rav and Lone Star behind, leaving them by themselves, so I'm going to speak to them about this matter if I can. And DOH on me for knowing PL10 is easier to play.
  9. I've noticed that there are a major lack of PL6 players, only 3 as of now and there would be little action between those three and every other player due to the PL difference (I chose one because I figured that the 5-6 other PL6 players that were currently there were active, I wanted to play at a lower level since I wasn't familiar with the system, I also hoped that more would come as a result). What I am thinking is to remove the option to play as a PL6 character (due to little interest for most people) and move them all to PL10 so they can play and match with the others. Thoughts? (please don't bash me too hard for this idea, I just thought very few players in one group would make things stale quickly, and I don't want to lose everything with my character)
  10. Rycon felt a little better letting her past out of her head. It can be a difficult thing to do for her, but in the end she is always glad to tell her story. "" The subject of the mobsters wasn't something that she was entirely focused about. "" Rycon focused for a moment to remember the incident. "" Rycon paused for a moment to remember the mobsters. "" Rycon paused once more. "< My mom pushed me away, telling me to run, shouting that one word over and over again. 'run'... I did so, turning back to see my mom falling over from a stab... no, multiple stabs from a blade or knife of sorts.>" Rycon quietly sighed and stayed silent, "Huh, how ironic," she thought. "To use weapons of similar variety that brought down my mother..."
  11. It honestly doesn't matter how it turns out, any matchup will be a Curb Stomp Battle against Rycon. This is more for experience, that and she has yet to actually meet Geckoman (not Chris), along with many others.
  12. Ashley notices the two student down the hall. They were previously talking with each other before noticing her and Aiko. "Oh, hello. Sorry if we interrupted you. Ashley puts on a smile to the two teenagers. "I'm Ashley Culdis, and this is Karakuri Aiko." She let her mind rest for the moment, instead letting the others chat a bit.
  13. Rycon shows a smile of content and joy upon seeing the Dr. Archeville she met years ago. She extends her hand to shake with the Doctor's as she spoke in German, "" She slowly takes her hat and cloth off to reveal her face. Dr. Archeville knew her well, there was little point in hiding her identity here. "" Her smile slowly faded as she spoke. "" Rycon took a seat in the nearby chair as she discussed about the arrest of her father, her and her mother's escape to the cabin in America, and the move to Freedom City, with her mother dying in the process. She held strong to keep tears falling from her eyes, and to reside calmness in her voice.
  14. My mistake, changed now. Apologies for the double post, but one more thing I'd like changed. Could someone add the skill, Language: (German, English as native) in exchange for Climb (1 rank) and could someone remove this line from her Personality & Motivation section: However, she does not actually know German as both parents only taught her English. She gets all those lines from an online translator of questionable effectiveness. Doktor'd Actually, can someone change the Description to: From a simple look, Ashley looks much like any other female teenager on the street, minus a few differences. She has a slender, athletic build, wears glasses to keep attention away from other people, and prefers to wear clothing that covers all of her body (like sweatshirts and jeans). She has short brown hair that barely goes down to her neck. As Rycon, she wears her father's dark blue trench coat, having steel lining on the outside, usually she keeps it buttoned up to avoid exposing her clothing. She wears brown finger-less gloves and long boots. To hide her identity, she ties a piece of gray cloth around her head, using holes in the cloth for her to see, and wears a baseball hat to cover her hair, though she changes the hat each day because she often loses the ones she wears. As a result, Rycon can come off as a male from first glance
  15. Thinking back, having Ashley not know the language of the country she was raised in isn't exactly very believable, so I'll make a change on the character edits asking for her to know and understand German.
  16. She's in her costume. Though she may take off the hat and cloth around her head later.
  17. "Yeah, that's a good idea." Rycon still had that look of pity on her face. She was shocked at how much of a change superhero work could affect one's mentality. She realized she had to stay strong, or else she may end up like Chris. "Blake, shall we go?" She turned to the other newcomer, she wanted to get this over with. She started making her way to the office door, turning around once to see if Blake was following before she opened the door...
  18. Rycon walked into the entry level building of ArcheTech. It all seemed familiar to her, as if she'd been here before. She looks around the grand entry, seeing the workers and other clients, some of them seemed cautious, like as if they had been given a warning through a past event. Rycon felt a bit out of place here, she didn't see herself worthy of such a view. Yet she had been expected, and she should have known it when she came to Freedom City. "To think... that my past would catch up to me..." she spoke quietly under her breath. Rycon walks up to the representative counter, waiting for the person there to notice her. When he did, Rycon stated, "My name is Rycon. I have been sent here by Dr. Archeville." She hoped this whole thing isn't a bad misunderstanding or sick joke.
  19. One more thing for Rycon. Could someone add "Immunity 1: Sleep" please? DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN

Journal Entry #1 "I have recieved a letter from Danielle. She wished me luck and stated that I should write a journal about important events that may happen in my life, or just progress in general. So... here it is. I live at Claremont Acadamy now. I have already met some good people like Mike, Blake, James, and... Chris. I share a dorm with Karakuri Aiko, who I believe is an immigrant like me. Neither of us need any sleep so sometimes I find her wandering around campus or the city in general. Perhaps I should only write when I have alot of information to write. I'd rather not have many small entries compared to the more larger ones. I also met Dr. Archeville again. I have not seen him since my time in Germany. He helped me find this biotic implant in my head and made it begin functioning, now it may improve my electricity abilities. Date: May 4th, 2010
  21. As the two walked through the school, Ashley thought back to her first day here. "So, do you need to meet with Mr. Summers? Or perhaps I could show you around the school? Will you be staying on campus?" Ashley thought she might have been rushing things. She wanted to converse with Aiko, but she felt she was bombarding her with too many questions.
  22. "Something about that seems a bit awkward..." Ashley thought, trying to understand what Aiko meant by not having a 'normal' life. "That's alright. I felt out of place when I came too Freedom City about a month ago." She tried to make Aiko feel more at ease with her new school. "I think you'll fit right in after some time. She starts walking towards the school doors, waving Aiko to come.
  23. Ashley gladly welcomed the new girl as she thought "Culdis-san? She remembers a Japanese scientist that once worked alongside Ashley's father, she used such formalities too. Too bad she never learned her name... So perhaps this new student is a transfer? "Pleased to meet you too, Karakuri-san." Ashley hoped she used such formalities correctly. "Are you an immigrant as well?" She let her German accent show a little more than usual.
  24. Ashley took note on the girl's response, "She seems like a well-mannered young lady" she thought. "No, I am a student here. I'm Ashley Culdis, what's yours?" As she said this, Ashley thought, "What should I discuss after...?" She wasn't very good at planning ahead in conversations before, so sometimes she had to improvise. Here she's learning to think of topics before she gets an opportunity to speak.
