Ashley sat at the steps to the entrance of Claremont Acadamy, reminiscing about her aunt, uncle, and cousin Danielle while listening to the song playing on her locket. While she missed her family now that she stays on campus, she had met many good people that have helped her fit in with the life of a superhero. As she turns off her locket and puts it away, she notices a female student walking towards the school. "A new student?" she thought, she noticed the girl's awkward blue hair, though that might be due to some power she may have. Ashley remembered that she would try to socialize more now that she is at school. She took a deep breath and starts walking toward her, as if to greet her. As she meets the new student at a distance of a foot she says, "H-Hello there", "Gah, way to stumble a greeting..." She thought in embarrassment.

Y'know, being the only spectator here wouldn't be any fun, so why not have her enter? I know she would get her butt kicked like Jack of All Blades got his kicked during the demon invasion last year, but I think it would be good (if painful) experience for her.

Could 4 PP be spent to improve Rycon's Devices 3 to Devices 4, and to give her Blast 4 power Autofire? That'll save 1 pp for whatever I need it for. DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN

Rycon had a look of pity on her face. To her, this man must of had a REALLY traumatic event happen to go from happy-go-lucky hero to senile, (maybe) insane young man. Rycon wanted to say something to sympathize with him, but nothing came to mind. She knew that anything she tried would bounce off like a bullet to metal. She was silent for awhile...

Rycon wasn't smiling after that. The last thing she wanted was to antagonize someone she barely knows. The young man's reaction wasn't surprising. She watched the man grab one of KC's tentacles. Rycon thought "Uh, does he touch anything that looks outside the normal?" she'd rather like to think not, lest KC can produce more tentacles from his body... Ashley put on a small smile, "Nice to meet you." She knew she was being ignored (though most likely unintentional) She stared at the teenager's clothing, "This guy is Geckoman?!" she thought in confusion, she didn't want to say something like that out loud. Hopefully he's just obscuring as a loser. "So, you're Chris? I've heard that you're Geckoman, and I've heard about his activities."

As Rycon walked to the office, she notices another student walking the in opposite direction on the other side of the hall, though 'student' might not be the right word for him. He looked like a sort of homeless kid, with rips and tears on his clothing. His face showed pain and frustration, he didn't fit in at all with the rest of the school. Though she knew it may not be the best idea, Rycon decided to chat with him. She wanted to make sure this guy wasn't a thief of some sort. She walked over to the young man, "Hello there." She then notices the other three men also coming towards the two. Perhaps they knew this guy?

Rycon felt that this conversation was getting a bit repetitive, so she gives a calming smile and says "Thanks for your support, I'm sure I'll do just fine here." She walks up to the receptionist, "I am Ashley Culdis, I received a letter from Mr. Summers." The receptionist gives a smile and points to a hallway west of their position. "We have been expecting you Ms. Culdis. Mr. Summers office is three doors down on the right." Rycon says, "Thank you," to the receptionist and starts to make her way to the office. She waves the three men goodbye, "Well, this is where we part for now. See ya!" She takes her locket out of her pocket and grips it in her right palm, as if it was a good luck charm.

While Rycon is at too low a level to participate (even then, she would probably get her butt kicked hard), would it be possible that she could be a spectator?

Rycon turns around and starts walking backwards, making sure she could see the other three while making progress (all the while hoping she doesn't bump into someone or something). Hearing about the academy from Mike and James had eased her tension, "I see. Then I should fit in quite nicely," She tossed a bigger smile then she had since moving from Germany. "This is going to work out great," she thought. "Geckoman? I heard he's a fun guy," Rycon's interest was sparked by that name. "I've know a bit about him through gossip on the streets, I never forget anything!" Rycon immediately regretted saying that. Her brain could process data faster than usual, and store much more. Anything she sees or hears will be remembered, both good and bad memories.

Rycon did not expect the hug from KC, especially with the tentacles brushing on her left shoulder. "Yeah, it's great to see you too..." She was a little embarrassed since the other two guys were watching. After the hug, she checked her shoulder for something that might have been there (like slime or some strange substance, there was once), and started off to the principal's office, waving to the others to come. She decided to spark a conversation to take the previous event off their minds, "You know, I haven't been to a school in four years..." Then she thought that talking about her past wasn't the greatest idea...

While Rycon is too young to be a partner, she could act as a part-time helper, she is practicing cooking and has gotten experience in food. I know that this may not be what you're looking for, but I feel that this would be good development for her (all the other members of her family are working to support their home, so she could take this so that there doesn't have to be so much strain in working).

All dressed up, Ashley opens the door. "Good morning gentlemen." Standing in front of the three men was Rycon, wearing her father's dark blue trench coat, brown combat boots (she wears them most of the time) and gloves, a gray cloth around her head, and a light brown baseball hat (the only hat that would fit and stay on her head). "How do I look?" She askes them in a lower tone than Ashley. She turns to Mike, James, KC, and then to James again. "Sorry about confusing your offer with a date, I'd be glad to take you up on a bit to eat."

Ashley blushed a bit, then decided that if everyone knows each others superhero identity, then it would be okay to show hers."Um... lemme go change, then I'll show you." She makes a mad dash for the woman's bathroom, which was thankfully empty. She unzips her backpack, and pulls out her costume. She could hear the three men talking outside...

"Hi new person!" Ashley's eyes widen at the sight, "That's the squid hero from the other day!" She was a bit glad that KC couldn't recognize that she was really Rycon, though that might not last long. She walks up to KC, puts on a smile, extends her hand and says, "Hello. I'm Ashley, what's yours?" She was a bit more comferable around KC, perhaps because she already knew him. She also used a lighter tone, so he wouldn't recognize that she is actually Rycon.

"Ah, yes, nice to meet you too." Ashley accepted the handshake with a more visible smile now. "James Prophet? Must be meaningful, perhaps it's best not to ask. "That would be great, thank you." Ashley had already found the school quite welcoming to her, though she had yet to see the teachers and her dorm mates. "I'd like to think about the eating offer though first, if that's okay with you..." Even if friendly, she thought going out with students she just met would be a bit too far at this point.

As Ashley and Mike were about to walk through the door, they noticed a young man who was about to walk past them. Ashley looked at him, he had black hair, acted cool, almost suave, wearing clothing of seemingly higher quality. She was going to ignore him when the young man sparked a conversation with Mike. She puts on a small smile and stays silent as the two would talk, unless Mike would introduce her, or ask to introduce herself.

Ashley usually isn't this talkative, that's because she needed to become more social, and break out of this quiet, empty state she's often in. Even so, she was trembling a bit when Mike asked if she was staying. "Y-yes I am... But I don't know exactly where I'll stay. She nods her head in thanks for Mike opening the door for her. "Do students here pair up with the same gender or are they in mixed groups?"

"Good..." Ashley thought, relieved that she wouldn't look like a white sheep mixed within a bunch of blacks. "Um... I'm Ashley... What's your name?"

"Oh..." Ashley knew she shouldn't be surprised that he was a student, considering she's already met a squid-like humanoid hero. She just hopes the teachers wern't 8 feet tall humanoid aliens. Ashley felt a little tense being escorted by someone she barely knew, especially since she wasn't in her costume at the moment. But she decided to follow him, it would be a good way to get to know the student and teachers here. "Thank you, I am going to be a student." She paused a bit before asking the big guy another question, "So... are do the other students and teachers here have a sort of height or inhuman look here? N-not that I find anything wrong with that..." Ashley felt that she went a bit far there.

Ashley had her mouth wide open, looking at the large, rather intimidating young man. She was speechless for a moment before she gathered up the courage to remind herself that this is a superhero school and that students will be of rather... different types. Ashley takes a deep breath and then speaks, "Yes... I am new here," She always found speaking to taller people difficult. "Are you a teacher here? I'm looking for Mr. Summers..."

"Ashley, time to get up!" Ashley could hear Danielle's voice from the other side of the room. She always slept in because she never had anything interesting happening early in the morning. However today is a new day for her. It's her first day at school in Claremont and she had to get up 2 hours earlier than usual. She had her briefcase of schoolwork and her backpack containing with her superhero costume ready to go, but she lacked motivation to actually get out of bed. "You've slept in for half an hour. You're late for school!" That got her out. Quickly, Ashley leaped out of bed, put on her sweatshirt and jeans, simply said "Wish me luck at school," and then disappeared as she touched her electric alarm clock. "Wai-" Too slow Danielle... Ashley came out of a lamp pole just outside of Claremont. Calmly, she and walks to school without checking to see if anyone saw her. She needed to give Mr. Summers the letter he sent her, but she doesn't know where to begin looking. She just started walking aimlessly around the school grounds, enjoying the scenery. Some might see it as if she was lost, they might not be far off, though no one could really say it, because she was the only one there for the moment.

I noticed that Rycon's feat total adds up to 14 rather than 16. Perhaps someone could add "Hide in Plain Sight" and "Power Attack" feats to correctly add up to 90 PP please? Also, could someone change Rycon's age to 16 (for more time at Claremont) and her height from 5'4'' to 5'6'' to match her age better please? Edits done by Geez3r

A little later that day, the two girls were in Ashley's room. Ashley, now calmed down, told Danielle as much as she knew about her past, which was basiclly everything that happened right before her operation at six, to now. She did however, leave out that she costumed as a superhero and what happened to her earlier with the scientist and the prototype armor. When she finished, she was relieved that Danielle was not angry at her. Her face rather, showed compassion and pity. "I'm... sorry about what happened to you. Is this why you've been so introverted?" Danielle acted like she was forcing Ashley more info about her, but Ashley simply said, No, it was more do to my brain issues, I think it's a natural trait within me." She wanted to drop her past and focus on more present matters. Anyway, about the invitation..." She waited for Danielle to speak. "Can you properly learn in that school? Can you socialize with those who have abilities like or different from your own? If you are confident and have no regrets about your decision, then I have no issues with going, No ones usually here to watch over you anyway." Danielle seemed more willing to send Ashley now, perhaps it's because she thinks Ashley will fare better with those like her own. A smile of confidence rose from Ashley's face, and hugged her cousin, "Yes, I can. I believe that I will do well at school." Ashley seemed excited about going, and yet, a little scared. But she knew that she will do well at Claremont Academy. ~fin~
