  1. Question: How big is the deck of this boat anyway? DS can raise a 100' diamter area (50' radius) at one time. Mainly curious as to how many trips it will take.
  2. Dark Star would likely attened a Physical Sciences one as well. (sorry; must have missed this thread before)
  3. Thanks. here's the power: Healing 12 (Extra: Total; Persistent , Regrowth) (Obviously, I'll be healing myself too just after the other two heroes)
  4. If a healing roll is needed. I wasn't sure how this worked. So just rolled 2 1d20s. Healing roll? not sure... (1d20=4, 1d20=16)
  5. Dark Star was...relieved? Sort of. He was glad that he hadn't killed her...and it would have been on his head. Of course, the fact that she had escaped with the staff meant she was still a threat. It was with mixed emotions that he rose to the surface. As he did, he put all the little odd things they found in a pile off to one side for someone to examine and hopefully return to their rightful owners. "Darn. She got away..." He shrugged and brought himself back to situation at hand. He looked over at Avenger's limping form and Scarab's bruised one. He cleared his throat. "Excuse me, but before you head out there. I think can help with your injuries. A little positive radiation and I should be able to repair all sorts of cellular damage. I've done it numerous times in the past." He could have just healed them by moving next to them but that just seemed a little...well, a little rude really. He waited for permission before gliding over and extending his hand, letting the gentle waves of energy wash over them and repairing the damage they had suffered.
  6. He chuckled softly at Hellhound's words. Dark Star certainly hoped it was some kind of a bluff or something... It had to be. Hellbound was a hero. He wouldn't do something like that. He gave a mental nod, agreeing with his own assesment of the situation. It was still funny though... Dark Star listened and nodded to himself. "A recent change hmm? I can empathize. Takes some getting used to." He nodded. "I hope it works for you. I haven't really inquired in there yet so I've no idea what the situations like with them. Still settling in myself. I've met Deadalus and Star Knight though. They are true heroes, no question."
  7. Dark Star blinked at Scarab's unexpected sudden words and consequent departure. Sure, he could do this. He had the power. But he was a rookie at this whole superhero thing really and deferring to the more experienced hero was easier and safer. Or it would have been. Time to suck it up I guess... he thought to himself. It was a little tricky having the gravity field full of people and then pushing, shuffling, bending and tweaking the gravity enough to slide the lot of them onto the bridge. It probably wasn't perfectly gentle, but they were down at least. That group safe, he turned back to the deck of the boat and scowled. "STOP PANICING! REMAIN CALM! I WILL GET ALL OF YOU!" He frowned at them, not that it showed. Panicing never helped anyone and often made things more dificult. At least they're all bunch together... he thought. Nodding to himself, he reveresed the gravity around the lot of them and continued the same maneuver as before.
  8. Dark Star looked around the destruction. He actually felt bad for wrecking the place but there hadn't exactly been a plethora of options. He glanced down at the rubble and then back at Avenger and Scarab. "What the 9 rings of Raxos was that?" He looked down again. "Wait one. Going to make sure she didn't escape...and maybe make sure the staff is busted or retrieve it. We don't want that to get loose into the world again, whatever it was." He sank through the floor, using his senses to search through the wreckage for the woman and the diabolical staff...
  9. Dark Star quickly dropped off the hero and his 'ride'. He frowned at the massively crowded deck and the sinking boat. He drifted closer to Scarab, a hero he actually knew. "Grabbing them a couple at a time will be time consuming. It's going down too fast...I'll get them all off the boat and floating up here. if you pick them out of the field and drop them on the bridge, it'll go quicker. But all I'll be able to do is hold them there." He would have liked to try and push the liner away from the girder/bridge but the boat likely weighed over a thousand tons, far beyond anything he could hope to lift. People on the deck first then. He turned and yelled to the crowded deck below. "REMAIN CALM PLEASE. YOU'LL BE SAFE SHORTLY." Reaching out he altered the gravity in a 50' radius of the deck, targeting the most crowded area and just taking the people, causing gravity to reverse itself to the point where they somewhat slowly fell 'up' to the bridge where he readjusted the gravity, letting them float there in 0 gravity just off of the bridge. He did his best to ignore their panicy voice and keep the lot of them floating safetly. "YOU'RE FINE! REMAIN CALM. WE'LL HAVE YOU DOWN SHORTLY." Hopefully Scarab could move the floating civilian faster adn easier from there.
  10. Dark Star nodded at Hellbound and then Topaz as the siren became apparent. He couldn't help but chuckle at Hellbounds admonishment to the crooks. As the police approached, DS lowered the still running car down to the ground and waited for the police to cuff the men. Once settled, he turned back to the other two. "Freedom Hall? Going to join the League, huh? Good luck to you. I mean it. It's a goal of mine as well. I'm not there yet of course. I have some improving to do before I'm on their level."
  11. no worries And Bull just stated his was on Feb 28th. So we've met.
  12. heh I like that one better Wasn't sure it was ok to do it. Thought so but never sure ;)
  13. Hey Hellhound, quick question/just realized something... is this thread after Bull's? Otherwise I'll need to edit that one to reflect that he knows you in there. Or I'll just recognize you in here...
  14. Dark Star had been moving through the early evening sky, just enjoying the freedom of it all. It wasn't quite like being in space but joyous nonetheless. He'd spent a lot of time lately just practicing and honing his powers. Sometimes it was good just to kick back and relax. Of course, such relaxing evenings often were interrupted in this city. The explosion was faint, but it grabbed his attention. He stopped in mid flight, turned and rocketed back towards the ship. As he flew over what just HAD to be heroes considering their dress and...move of transport, he slowed up and yelled to the lot of them. "Any of you folks need a lift?" He extended his gravity induced telekinetic to any that asked for it. It might help them get to the boat faster. And if not, he'd continue onward alone. There was work to be done!
  15. ouch, that's rough! Guess I just drool then. I'll go edit the post in a bit and delete out his action.
  16. DS blinked, his eyes the only real feature on him, as the newcomer arrived or rather showed himself. "I'm sorry! I didn't even know you were back there." He glanced back up at the floating car. "I apologize again. I didn't realize you were dealing with them. Would you like to take over?" He gestured to the car floating twenty feet above them. "I'll give them back if you like. Didn't mean to steal your thunder." His voice might be humorous but he was being quite honest. He nodded to Topaz as she settle back down and to the newcomer as well. "Pleasure to meet you both. As I said, I'm Dark Star. Where were you two off to before all of this?"
  17. Dark Star reeled from the strange attack. He had no experience with this mystical stuff and from this brief exposure, he wasn't exactly happy with it. He was having trouble focusing on anything from that last attack... He heard Avenger's voice and could only trust Avenger had a plan. "On it!" he yelled. "Scarab get him outta there!" If Avenger was just a man, albeit with some special training, the falling roof would kill him or at the least hurt him badly. Dark Star reached up towards the ceiling and brought the full force of his gravity down across the entire roof. He only hoped Scarab had a way of protecting both Avenger and herself from the soon-to-be mass of falling debris.
  18. I think I should have 2 HP left right? Start with my 2 plus got one from you. (keep in mind I'm on 2 hours sleep here so...) Not sure what stunned means. If I need to spend the HP to do my action, then I will. If not, will save it...
  19. Dark Star looked over as one of crooks attempted to make a getaway by hoofing it right into a crystalline woman? "You really should have listened you know. Now please extend any weapons you have out the window or this could get uncomfortable for you." He gave the car a little telekinetic shake to emphasize his point. Lowering himself closer to street level, he left the car hovering twenty feet up in order to make jumping out a poor idea. He looked over at the woman. "Thanks for the assist. I couldn't do two things at once. I'm Dark Star. You want to stick him back with his friends until the police arrive?" He gestured up towards the hovering car absently.
  20. DS nodded and chuckled. “Please to meet you Divine. A fitting name for you,†he added with a compliment. “As I said, I’m Dark Star, though DS works too I suppose.†It was shorter and sounded less 'pretentious' he supposed. Still chuckling, DS nodded. “Years? Not even close. It’s only a couple thousand light years away after all. It’ll take us maybe 9 hours, one-way of course. A pretty short trip really. It isn’t teleportation of course so not just a blink. ‘Sides, what’s the fun of just getting there? Too much too see out there.â€Â
  21. Dark Star moved above the busy city, slowly cruising around. He was hidden, letting himself be concealed t the moment. He had no particular destination in mind, just ‘looking for trouble’ really as he focused on using his powers. It had become obvious that he needed practice. He’d been rather busy since returning. All the activity was helping him improve himself. It certainly was active. The faint screech of tires caused him to pause in practice. He extended his sense and located the speeding car. He dropped his concealment and flew directly to the car, paralleling the drive and looking in the window. He noted the guns with a frown and sigh. “Hello there! You do know that you are driving rather recklessly, right? One would think it’d be smarter to drive quietly away from a crime rather than drawing attention to yourself with the screeching tires. I’m going to insist that you stop until proper authorities arrive. Let me help and give you a lift.†He reached out towards the car, lifting it off the ground.
  22. Ah ok! Don't think my roll helped though! For save take 2 (used hero point as I rolled a _1_ the first time) (1d20+4=8). Assuming a 1 would be a terminal failure
  23. No joy on the Reflex save! Reflex save for area attack (1d20+3=15) And since I only have +4 for Fort checks, it isn't possible to pass the Fort save! Not sure if I can use some of those HPs to be ok or shrug off whatever the effect is though. Notice! (1d20+7=20)
  24. Dark Star blinked as the crazed woman took his shot head on, literally, and then simply shrugged it off. And got crazier too. Her 'creepy-vibe' was definitely growing but he had seen enough over the years that he was unmoved. Of course he had no idea on what to do about all this mystical stuff. Hopefully Scarab knew more about how to deal with this... "Let's try that one more time..." he growled and unleased another graviton beam right at the raving woman. Hopefully it would have some effect or at least distract her for Scarab's plan, whatever-it-was, to work.
