I've been actually reading some of the rules...I _think_ that Dark Star's initiative is wrong... It should be a +0 as he has no DX bonus and no improved initiative (yet), I think. But it's listed at +4... Done

Ok...carrying both of them, leaves him with a flight of 10. 10k mph. (about 13 times the speed of sound if he actually was willing to go that fast)

He looked over at Avenger, a bit surprised at first, at the mention of the Grue before he remembered a lot had happened. Instead he nodded. "Yeah, I've fought the shapechangers more than a few times. Individuals aren't tough; heck even the commanders aren't that bad. But they're devious and constantly messing around out there." His head snapped around at Scarab's urgent call. He nodded as he listened. "No problem!" He focused on altering the gravity around them, gently scooping them up. "Keep your arms and legs inside the cockpit and observe the no smoking sign. Next stop, Ditko Street! Eta...maybe 5 to 10 seconds with delays!" With a gentle grip on his companions to tow them along, he took off like a rocket, only slowing or stopping enough for Scarab to open any barriers in their way.

Apologies, I always forget to format it for some reason. Made the various changes. The bottom combat piece I wasn't sure of, so not sure what to put there... Couple questions though: I don't understand. In the basic book, it's range says Perception. Do I need to put in an extra for that? I put the resurrection in to reflect the concept of a villain coming back even when assumed to be dead. Figured it'd work if there was even a slight chance of him surviving no matter how small. Not sure how to put that in. Suggestions? Apologies once more for my errors.

Honestly, I'm not sure if he could take one or both of them (using TK I'd guess?) and still fly. I'll look at the rules in the morning but if someone has a quicker grasp on this than me, please let me know.

He tries fear and intimidation whenever he can instead of direct conflict (saves him money). He is not rash or impulsive. He is confident and arrogant but not foolishly so. He is cruel and merciless and will have no difficulty with ending anyone’s life (especially if it profits him in some way). And he is often for hire, working for someone else, doing the dirty jobs. This also gives some rather impressive connections. He is a villain for use in various space adventures far from Earth. Anyone is free to use him. Like many typical villains, he is likely to return again even after the heroes were certain to have killed him.

Dark Star nodded and looked at the various artwork and artifacts. “Psychic powers. Ah,†he said understanding her comment from earlier. “She’s searching for the targets.†He looked over at Avenger. “Skills hmm? Those are some impressive skills then. You know, I remember Scarab from before. Back when Scarab was in the League. It's been a while; I’ll have to look up what happened when we’re done,†he said the last to himself, thinking aloud. “Me? I’ve got some skill in investigation. Not much, more of a hobby really. I’ve done a little peacemaking too. I’m also something of a scientist though it has been a few years. As for this,†he gestured towards himself, “I have various abilities associated with a dark star. Believe me, it isn't theoretical. Gravity control, telekinesis, radiation control, space travel and being difficult to detect. Recently manage to be able to adjust the radiation to heal as well. What else? Some enhanced sensory abilities based on seeing gravity waves.†He shrugged. “I’m not exactly experienced in fighting but I’ve been in a few. Mostly with aliens or their ships though. I’ve only been back on Earth for a few days.†He shrugged and looked around, still impressed with the surroundings. "How about you?"

Dark Star resisted the urge to frown as Avenger 'appeared'. Scarab appearing was one thing. Obvious super powers there. Avenger seemed normal but blink and he was gone. It was actually somewhat frustrating and fascinating at the same time. He shrugged and began to look around after they floated down to bottom of the shaft. He blinked as he realized that Avenger was already at the bottom of the shaft. Maybe the guy was a teleporter or something... He shrugged and followed behind Avenger. He nodded towards Scarab in thanks before continuing onward. As they moved, he continued to look around, still curious. "So, are you two a team of sorts? This is an impressive facility as far as I can tell. Oh, thanks for the offer but I can't and don't need to drink. Or eat or sleep either. I'm made of graviton energy. At least when I'm like this." He waved vaguely at himself. "So...what exactly was Scarab doing up there, sitting on the chair?" He wasn't exactly sure what these heroes could do but they had trusted him with the location of this place. Honor required reciprocate and be polite. But he was still curious. "You two seem pretty well set. Not sure how I can be of assistance."

Dark Star focused on the images, noting the locations. Once he was certain he knew where to go, it took only a moment and a blue of speed before he was gone. Keeping his concealment active, he made sure to detour a few hundred miles, just to make sure. Even with the detour, he arrived at the large stone door a very short time later. He became visible once more outside the door. He didn't enter of course, that would have been somewhat rude and presumptive. The Scarab had been trusting to tell him of this location and he would not abuse that trust. Even so, he stuck one hand towards the door, feeling for any energy shielding that would have prevented him from passing through if he chose. He also deliberately kept from using his senses to look beyond the door for the same reason. Instead, he looked around the tunnel. He picked up a small rock of some kind with his telekinesis and rapped it lightly on the stone door. An insubstantial man's attempt at knocking. He then stood, floating a foot above the ground, looking around and waiting patiently.

Looking over at Scarab, Dark Star nods. "I can stay hidden quite well when I choose to. I'd say taking your hand would be quicker but I'm made of energy; not solid. I can move under my own power. Tell me where you wish me to go and I will be there within moments. Assuming it isn't past Alpha Centauri of course. Then it might take me a couple minutes or maybe even longer..." He let his words trail off as he realized he was rambling. A quick thought and he let his concealment envelope him, making his dark form simply vanish in a blink. The voice in his head caused him to blink and pause. Telepathy wasn't unknown to him. But having a stranger he just met in his head was not something he was comfortable with, even when that voice came from a hero. He became audible once more briefly. "Scarab, if you're willing, some specific directions? I know the city somewhat and can get anywhere in it within seconds if need be, still unobserved." He brought his concealment up once more and headed south, straight through the wall...

Dark Star looks between the two. "Usual place? If you'd like me to meet somewhere in an hour or two, I'll need a specific address. Anywhere is fine with me."

Dark Star frowned as he watched it zoom off. "It was certainly odd. All of the reading on it were rather off. Completely negating various gravimetric laws. I certainly haven't encountered something like that before." His voice had a musing, thoughtful tone; he was curious. "I'll have to ask it if there's a next time," he said mostly to himself. He shrugged and returned to the conversation at hand. He nodded to Scarab. "Very well. It's gone now. So where would be a better place for you to do this? Not sure how much help I can offer tracking this Lockpick down. I have some connections I could call I suppose if nothing else." While he waited, he couldn't help but look at the various items that seemed odd to his gravity senses. He had no intention of taking them but he was still curious.

He looked at the grate again. "I might be able to stop the cloud. Never actually tried it before but it should be possible...but if it is leaving, I'm not sure it was a threat. It hasn't done much beyond observe and then depart. As long as it isn't a danger to the people, I'm inclined to leave it be." Dark Star shrugged finally. "Well, we have two thieves after specific items, as well as a little extra loot. Not sure if the rest isn't valuable though but they certainly didn't overly burden themselves. Do we know anything about the items that were taken? Or the thieves themselves?"

Dark frowned at the grate for a moment. He kept his voice soft, hopefully so only Avenger and Scarab would hear just in case the could was not on their side. "It was some kind of cloud. It's moving away, not sure to where yet. I could always go in and ask the cloud. Anyone you folks know?" He shrugged his shoulders at Scarab's question. "I think he might trying to circle through the vents, to other side of the vault." He continued to keep his voice low and stare at the original point to not give anything away.

Ok, get a post in and the 'action' part of this will start on Monday.

Dark Star looked at and nodded to the others as they introduced themselves. His gaze rested longer on Doctor Archeville. “You have a rather interesting graviton signature. We should talk at some point, yes?†Doctor Andel chuckled lightly and returned to the matter at hand. “Well, when the Lighthouse calls and makes the appointment, we do tend to pay attention. So, what can we at the SCC do for you?†Dark Star nodded and responded to the man. “Honestly, I was thinking of something mutually beneficial Doctor. While I intend to spend most of my time in Freedom City training as and being a hero, I have knowledge and abilities that I’m sure you could find invaluable. And honestly, I need a job. I was thinking something minor, part-time if you will. I’m not looking to get rich, just basic salary for living expenses and such. I don’t always look like this of course and really don’t wish to deal with the pressure all the time,†he added with a chuckle. Dark Star continued on. “Now, I happen to know a rather great deal about the galaxy at large. I already shared much of it with Daedalus and Star Knight of course. I’ve traveled extensively, all over the galaxy. I can travel the galaxy faster than anyone or anything I’ve ever heard of. And I can do it carrying a large volume of equipment. But before you ask, no, I haven’t tried bringing people with me yet but with a little work on my part, I’m sure it would be possible.†Dark Star nodded towards the director of the SCC. “I’ll freely share the information of course. Knowledge like this isn’t the type to be hoarded. But I figure I could do a little work for your agency now and again, moving things into orbit or dropping sensors around the galaxy. The cost of basic living expenses for me is a good deal cheaper than trying to do some of this the hard way by millions, if not billions of dollars.†Arthur’s smile became a little wider. “Well, that’s a fascinating offer. You know, I’m certain we could work something out.â€Â

Hmm...now I need to look up 'power stunt'. Something to read Since I was watching, did I see which way the smoke cloud went/is going? Or should I roll (and if so what's the target #)?

Ok...so even as Inusb 3, I would need to buy Affect Insubstantial on it (TK or Gravity) to affect another Insub thing? Just checking.

Question before anything starts (and just in case): can I use things like gravity control or telekinesis on another insub char? (such as the brimestone cloud in the vents ). Not that I'm planning on as my next action but just would like to make sure I understand the options.
