  1. Yes, he's rooming with Shoggoth-boy, the slime kid marvel.
  2. I'm not willingly inactive either, I've been trying to start/get involved in several threads. Can I get a rundown on how individual posts work, because I hadn't realized that was an option. And if it's news stories I have the one journal entry by my character.

    I have a son

Congratulations and Good Luck. Too bad those don't come with an owner's manual though.
  4. Are you kidding? The chance to wreak some mayhem, steal some loot, and pound a helpless old man senseless? This is what Neurologic lives for. The only thing you could do to sweeten the pot would be to promise the chance to humiliate the ______ in front of cameras. (Options include the Freedom League, the mayor, the body of the Centurion, the POTUS, any celebrity, or any individual who's humiliation would involve desecrating a beloved symbol/monument/memory.)
  5. Done. I guess that makes sense, I just wasn't really thinking straight.
  6. Darn, I keep indenting these things beautifully on my copies, but it doesn't transfer to the forum, making things harder to read. So yeah, everything under powers is related to his device.
  7. Players Name:Golentan Power Level:6 Characters Name: Edge Alternate Identity: Jamie Height: 4'2 Weight: 60 lbs. Hair: Black Eyes: Black Description: Jamie (no known last name) is an orphaned child, living on the streets of Freedom City. He would be fairly ordinary, except that he is the wielder of a magical, sentient kukri that simply calls itself "Edge." Edge has many powers related to death and combat, and passes along its insights to Jamie. Edge's knowledge and powers have allowed Jamie to survive on the streets, become a minor super hero, and evade the authorities, but they frequently come into contention on the subject of killing. Jamie is opposed to any loss of life, for fear of leaving someone in a situation like his own, while Edge views enemies as fit only to be excised from the ranks of the living. While acting as a hero, Jamie has adopted his ally's name for his own, and wears a store bought black robe with a cloak and a ski mask with eyes cut into it. History: Jamie can't remember anything before he was seven. He knows he had parents back then, because the nurses told him so. His family was involved in a car crash, which killed his parents instantly. Jamie barely survived, unconscious for a full week, and doctors didn't think he'd make it. He spiraled closer and closer to death, and he remembers that part vividly. His soul was walking through the land of the dead, trying to find his family, and in the process delving deeper and deeper towards oblivion. Finally, on the seventh minute of the seventh hour of the seventh day, he came across a tall man, wrapped in shadows. The man called himself Edge, and promised to help Jamie, guide and protect him, if he would promise to turn back. Jamie reluctantly agreed, and turned around into the light. The next instant he found himself awake in the hospital. His vitals rallied, and he made a full recovery in miraculous time. He concealed the Kukri that he had found in his bed, and two days before the doctors planned to release him into the care of Social Services he escaped into the world. 8. Also, in page 124 of the M&M book, the first paragraph on drawbacks says the maximum number of points you can get from drawbacks is equal to the power level.

    CharGen

So are most of the excel sheets.

    CharGen

There are some pretty good excel builders already. I can look up links to them if you'd like. And of course the official website is touting hero lab, but it costs money to get to print or save stuff.
  11. I think that's actually enough for my character to go on. She makes massive intuitive leaps based on small evidence, and is rarely wrong. Please count me in.
  12. Also, if NeuroLogic knows these robots belong to Malice, she may try to disable one to help track him down. Otherwise she'll just be inclined to point and laugh.
  13. Sorry, I know I just created the character, but can I swap Assessment for Jack of All Trades on NeuroLogic? I think it would work better with the character, giving her more criminal and inventive skills to draw on. Updated by V_M

    NeuroLogic

From the Diary of Sara Cognid (Translated from encryption, which consisted of a Vigenere cypher using the Illiad (Latin Translation) as a key, placed in railfence configuration and run once again through a Vigenere cypher using Canterbury tales in the original as a key.) Today I moved into my new apartment. It's located in Midtown, and suits my needs nicely. It has a bed, bath, kitchenette, living room, good view, and most importantly an inefficient use of space. One of the walls is hollow, and a good 3 feet thick. I intend to make it into a storage space where I can store my suit, this diary, and any valuables I take before I can unload or launder them. I spent five hours walking through different buildings, looking for something like that space. The only problem with the apartment is the lack of good work facilities, after all, if the job interview I'm planning at ASTRO labs goes well I'll need a few bunsen burners to complete my pet project. Maybe I'll go renting some space elsewhere for my lab, and there are always the catalogs to stock it with equipment. On the subject of the interview, I've picked out my disguise. Simple lab coat, a fake ID one of the local forgers whipped up for me (Not hard to find, just dropped by the local high school and "convinced" some jock to tell me where he got his spare drivers license), and a couple of colors of Cool-Aid to dye my hair. The suit's going in a briefcase, I hope there aren't bag checks, or I may have to start hurting people. And that would be terrible. One of them might sound an alarm or something. In the meantime, I should start looking for allies. Watching the news I've decided to seek out Malice. He strikes me as useful given that first of all he had the expertise and intelligence to build a battlesuit and secondly he was able to escape from Captain Wonder. That and a battlesuit should be easy to find. It requires a certain level of wealth, knowledge, and parts. If I can cross reference all the men who can afford such things with all the men who have access to the knowledge and equipment to build devices of such a level and also with the purchases, directly or indirectly, of the most likely components starting from about a year and a half from the first sighting, I'm willing to bet I'll be looking at a fairly short list. But I'm rambling, and it's almost 11. Got to get my beauty sleep.
  15. 1)NeuroLogic 2) With ASTRO labs in the city, NeuroLogic sees a possibility not available since she gained her powers: the opportunity to make more Myelination and Synaptic Enhancement Serum. She disguises herself as a lab worker and gains entrance to the facility, but when she puts on her Psy-Suit and prepares to steal the appropriate chemicals, she runs afoul of visiting heroes. 3) Lullaby and anyone else who wants in (Ghost, Gossamer?) 4) No current threads, but if anyone has an open spot...
  16. I figured you wouldn't allow it, but it never hurts to ask. Thank you.
  17. A character who has been possessed by an avatar of death. Basically a modified PL 6 martial artist whose gaze drains constitution. He's learned to hold his powers in check, but in times of great stress he can embrace them and radically boost the power of his combat skills and death effects, which are both granted by the spirit possessing him.

    Holding Back

I'm guessing I know the answer to this already, but can I use the Holding Back drawback? It's the one from hero high where under extremely stressful circumstances and if the dice favor you you gain 2, 4, or 6 temporary power levels (depending on the intensity of the drawback) at the cost of some terrible price to your character.
  19. Great, how would I get you involved? What would your proposed take/payment be and what skills do you have that would make me seek you out?
  20. Yeah, the subject line says it all. I'd like to have my character go on her first adventure, wherein she breaks into a chemical lab to steal the ingredients to make more and better superserums, some like the one that gave her her powers, some not. She would probably try to recruit someone to handle the breaking and entering part, while she supervises and tries to learn the art of disable device. I'd especially like ghost for that. Some hero/heroes interrupt and make life difficult, and we see where we go from there. Anyone interested?
  21. Okay, changed blindsense to spatial awareness.
  22. Alright, I've listed the super senses under Super Senses, but is blindsight really expressed as what you put? Is that an ultimate power thing? I also realized I forgot to decrease toughness when I decreased defensive roll. That is now fixed.
  23. Done and done. I know she's sort of a glass cannon, but part of her gig is that she swoops in, crushes opposition (preferably without giving them a chance to even know she's there) and makes off with the goods. She plans meticulously so she doesn't need to let people realize her weak spots, much less exploit them.
  24. Sorry about the saves, the points for that came from dropping the charisma. I'm fixing that now. As for the attack: I don't see why I really need it. My most damaging ability is perception range. If I'm actually reduced to using my combat skills I'm dead, which is why I figured a +6 melee was good enough. As for the defense, I've seen a few anti-Dodge Focus posts, and I was worried boosting that might fly. That's why I put the points in defensive roll. I'm switching it back now.
