  1. Roman soldier could be good, especially once he sees Centurions statue, and reads up about the man from a world where 'his' empire never fell. Though communicating would be a big problem. Possessed Demon-Girl wouldn't be too hard to stat out, depending on how it's built (one char with alternate form? Demon as char with girl as 'Sidekick'? Some sort of Involuntary Transformation?). The Guitar Hero ( ) could be a ton of fun. I can see both Maestro and Doc Otaku crashing his parties. Guy-meshing-into-Armor is a very nifty idea (sorta like how DC's Cyborg was originally set, he was afraid of being overtaken by his cybernetic parts and losing his humanity). There's an easy way to hook it into the Freedom City Universe, too: have the armor be a lost prototype suit of Grue-made morphic power armor (designed to combat the Star Knights) (or, heck, maybe it is a Grue!). Would he know he's melding? If he does, would he want it to stop? (I'm guessing that, stats-wise, you'd start out as a regular power armor type, thens lowly use earned pp to move powers out of the suit and into the character directly.)

  3. A high Toughness score (with a "Weak Spot" drawback for lucky headshots) can represent a Zombie's "why won't they go down?!" ability, too. Mechanically, they probably won't take much damage at first, but eventually will be whittled down (since each Bruise/Hit imposes a cumulative -1 on future Toughness saves), though all the hits can still be described as the loss of gory bits.

  7. Another idea for an NPC villain, inspired by cosmicarus' handle. Mad Scientist type who's got a thing for both dinosaurs and high-energy physics. Seeks to rule the world by creating an army of dinosaurs. But he's not going to create them by the Jurassic Park method, instead he plans to use cosmic rays to power his Devolver Ray that can turn birds and lizards into dinosaurs (or using cosmic energy to open portals either into the past or into parallel universe and "importing" dinosaurs). A laboratory accident infuses him with both saurian traits and energy-manipulation powers, and he dubs himself Cosmicsaurus Rex, King of the Cosmic Lizards!

  9. Heck, it can be done in continuity fairly easily -- see the JLU eps "The Cat and the Canary" and "Grudge Match". That being said, if it is like what nareik describes -- no story, just running around killing each other (like in the UT game itself) -- I'll want absolutely no part of it, as I have never liked those type of games.

  13. The loud CRACK of Star's laser-like blast as it superheated the air in a line between he & Dryad did not draw Archeville's attention. The smell of her cooking flesh, heated to temperatures far above the boiling point, did. "Vhat's zhat smell? Roast pork und potatoes?" Archeville queried as he looked up from the DJ station, holding a half dozen electrical components (torn from the station) in his hands. His eyes went wide (again) as he saw Dryad had fallen. He dropped the components and flew back towards the plant-girl. He did a quick check to make sure she was in any immediate mortal danger, and seemed satisfied to find she was only unconscious. "Um... zhat is not exactly vhat I had in mind vhen I asked you to hold her," he said, tunring to Alan, "but I suppose it vill do. Nice shooting. So, ve call 911 now, ja?"

  17. Very nifty character! Having a Library in an HQ allows you to Take 20 on most Knowledge checks.

  19. He'd get a Hero Point if "The GM" chose to use "GM Fiat" on Dryad's behalf. It'd keep her in the fight, thus making things harder for the heroes. Star'd be the one getting it since the "GM Fiat" (the thing granting the Hero Point) was done as a direct result to his actions. Hero Points aren't just awarded for doing truly heroic things, they're awarded anytime a character's Complication comes up and makes things difficult, or whenever the GM uses "GM Fiat" to "cheat" the heroes. I think Dryad's a really cool character, with a ton of potential. Don't be so quick to archive her just because her first foray didn't go so well. She can always break out of prison, and plot revenge on us (on Kizzy & Star for stopping her rampage/hurting her physically, and on Dr. Archeville for "tricking her into letting her guard down" and for "making promises he didn't keep, just like all the others!"). Or, maybe she does seek out his help, but the Green Man (or someone else) takes control of her and causes destruction, thus causing more confusion & misunderstanding. Or maybe she flips out due not to some outside control but just her own horribly fractured mind (as the human and plant aspects in her fight for dominance). So, question for now is: do you want to use GM Fiat to keep Dryad active in the fight longer, or not and have her be captured, or not and simply flee (possessing some conveniently passing-by bird or dog)?

  21. Which is the second (technical/game rules-specific) thing I pointed out ;)
