  1. That's perfect. :) I just brought the characters to where the sound is coming from, and either yourself or a Ref can determine what the crime is exactly.

Ok, are we heading into a preliminary encounter at this point, or is this us encountering the Brotherhood? I just want to be clear.

  2. "We gotta find out where that shipment's goin'. I say we hitch a ride," he whispers with a wink.

Grim smiles and nods her head sharply.

"That is exactly what I was thinking; see, I'm learning stuff all the time."

She fades to a mere blur in the night air and quickly makes her way down the wall and quietly moves to the truck, where she waits.

  5. We'll plan what our characters are going to do out of character rather than having Nightrival and Grim make plans on the rooftop. Nightrival suggested they hitch a ride, but maybe Grim has other ideas. He's not really the "take charge" kind of guy - he would rather hear everyone's opinion.

I was thinking they can make their way down to the alley and ride on top of the truck. When we get to our destination, Grim can use her shapeshifting powers and infiltrate them somehow. She can gather a ton of intel and it would make for a great scene. Nightrival will just stalk in the shadows, as usual. :)

I was mostly confused by the combo of 'play' and 'OOC', since I equate play with in-character. That all being said, since we're assuming this is a bit in the future, we can assume we know each other's capabilities, so this plan sounds good to me.

  8. Also, you might want to think about kind of damage you want to do. Will it just be a straigh Toughness save for the victim, or will it be a Will or Fort save?

It would be straight Toughness, I think - it's basically a kinetic blast of power she generates in her fingertip with roughly the same amount of force as like a .38 revolver, maybe a little weaker. I really like the idea that it is very short range, so it pretty much has be applied at the point of contact.

  11. Well, the other option is you get completely away from calling it strike or blast and come up with your own name and just give it the Damage effect, and add feats and extras as appropriate.

Good point - I guess I would call it something like 'Magic Bullet.' I'll look through the corebook and UP a bit more.

  14. Well, I think a touch-based blast is really just a strike.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about that either; the tricky thing I see her doing things like holding her finger under someone's jaw in a threatening way, and then choosing whether or not to blow the guy's head off, which feels more like a Blast than a Strike in operation.

Also I see I misread Subtle, so she wouldn't actually have that feat if we went that route.
