  1. Okay, surprisingly enough, Belphegor looks good to me right off. Updated by V_M
  2. And where, pray tell, might I be able to find this vicious rumor so that I might be able to smite those who would perpetrate such an abomination on a magnificent franchise? Don't get me wrong, Robin's good in some things - like Good Will Hunting, and... yeah, after that, I got nothing. But they tried casting a comedian in a Batman villain role. That was the result. :shame: Ledger did such a fantastic job of playing - sorry, being - the Joker, I seriously doubt anyone can fill his shoes.
  3. Yes, but for those of us who are unfortunately without a movie theater in their front yard continuously playing Dark Knight, this is the next best thing. ;)
  4. Okay, Batman's out, but it looks like the next big hitter's going to be one of my all-time favorites - The Watchmen. Here's the trailer: mSrgvJ2JyHs Everyone's looking real good, especially Dr Manhattan. A guy painted up in a blue suit just wouldn't have done him justice, so this may be one of the only times I'm happy to see someone completely done in CG.
  5. Even better than Iron Man, if I say so myself, and I thought that was damn near the best movie ever. There's just so much crammed into it, and they somehow found time to develop every character there, even the smaller roles. Simply amazing. Oh, and yes, there was a Watchmen trailer. That movie is going to be sick! ("Sick", in this case, being good. )
  6. Normally, we wouldn't allow this, but since you haven't started any adventures with her yet, I think it'll be fine.
  7. Mashin-kun could help out, I should think. He's not doing much of anything right now, so he'll be a good fit.
  8. I'm not sure if we would approve this, as it does seem that you're being rewarded for taking a drawback. Despite the fact that something bad does happen to your character, inevitably, you have to realize that it's not really a drawback if something equally good (if not far more beneficial) happens to them at the same time. I doubt we'd allow it, but it's something that should be discussed.
  9. Okay, everything seems to be in order here. Approved
  10. "Maybe we should just keep to the alleys until wonderboy here wakes up," Nanowire commented in Grimalkin's uncharacteristic silence. "I took a big enough chance bringing us up here to begin with, but in the end, I think we'll be safer on street level. At least we'll be less obtrusive down there." So saying, Nanowire lifted Grimalkin back up - this time using the crook of his arm to support the girl instead of his shoulder - and leapt back down into the alley out back after scooping Rant into his grasp.
  11. Yes. It's just like any other feat, which means that if it makes sense, you can put it in an array slot.
  12. Huh. I thought it was a ranked feat too. Maybe I got it confused with Takedown Attack.
  13. Yeah, we're near a consensus on this issue. Sorry it's taking so long.
  14. I see nothing else wrong here. Approved. One more and you'll be set to play.
  15. Hey SB, you back yet? I keep forgetting if you're still gone.
  16. So, effectively, you could be Batman - for about three years, then you're done. Unless you're Brett Favre, then you can do it for fifteen and have people begging you to come back if you even whisper the word "retire". :)
  17. Right, forgot about that, sorry. Anyway, I am a bit worried about your saves being a bit low. If you're okay with that, I can live with it, though. What's this "Judo Set" thing about? Is that the listing of martial feats from the Mastermind's Manual? If it is, could you list them all individually? Also, please list your Device separately from your other powers. (Slightly below your powers would be fine.) It's tough to tell what is part of it and what is not, that's the only problem I have with it.
  18. She sounds like a real nice person to be around. However, you're a bit off in certain areas. This: Is wrong. According to your stat block at the bottom, you haven't added any points. This means your Fort and Reflex saves would be both be +0. They are based off of CON and DEX, respectively, and you haven't put any points in either. I'm also a bit worried about your low attack and defense. Sorry if I sound like a broken record, but I'd strongly suggest bringing both up to within two points of caps.
  19. Just a quick note from what I've seen so far: you bought no attack or defense. This will make it nearly impossible to hit anyone, and extremely easy for people to hit you. The defense is less of an issue, as you may well want to get hit with that high an absorption score, but the attack will be very annoying for you when you realize you're going to need to roll a 16 just to hit an average PL 6 character. It's legal, but I wouldn't advise it. Also, unless you're being constantly (or nearly constantly) exposed to damage according to your drawback, you're losing ability points. Am I reading that right? Once every 20 minutes, you need to "fill up"?
  20. Sorry for not getting that the first time, there was just a lot to change. All done now.
  21. Sounds very interesting, golentan. The Absorption idea is especially neat, but you realize that's not only going to be very expensive, but it also counts towards your caps for defense. Just be sure that you have an applicable defense towards physical damage as well. You don't want to get taken out by a guy punching you in the face/chest/amorphous body pseudopod and one-shoting you into unconsciousness. On the topic of concept, though, I like it. I've always had a soft spot for the non-intuitive characters out there - unsure of how to act around humans, feeling things out through trial and error, etc. It's fun to play, and it sounds like you've got a definite idea in mind. Hope it works out for you. Oh, and welcome to FCPbP! :)
  22. Yes, you may. It would be nearly impossible to get 25 posts per month if your character wasn't in multiple threads at the same time. Think of it like a comic book. The same character can have several titles, each taking place in a sort of "limbo time", where the date isn't well defined.
  23. Complication. It's a -1 drawback if you're destitute.
  24. Scooping up the sonic blaster Rant along the way, Nanowire tore across the open alley, angling for an area he hoped that creepy psycho couldn't chase them. Not being able to fly in this situation had a definite downside, though, as he didn't know what the man's limitations on his phasing were, if any. Maybe if he got to higher ground... "Hang on tight, Grim!" he hollered at the girl a second before he hurled himself into the air, using his prodigious strength to vault up on top of the nearest building. His massive form slammed into the flat roof of the warehouse he landed upon. The added weight from Grimalkin and Rant, ill-distributed as it was, forced him to stop and re-plant himself so he didn't tip over and mash one of them under his nearly half-ton body. He checked his radar and glanced around, trying to spot the man. When he didn't sense anything after a few moments, he set Grimalkin down carefully, then did the same for Rant, significantly less gently. You all look alike to me, my big polycarbonite butt, he thought maliciously. "Okay, I don't see him anywhere," Nanowire said to Grimalkin. "Of course, we're now lost in a future dystopia with no real hope of getting home and being chased by the forces of the resident megalomaniac, who undoubtedly wants us for some horrible purpose." He sighed heavily, his vocal synthesizers making it sound more like a growl than an expression of dismay. "So, any ideas? Because I have no idea where we're supposed to regroup at. Unless Foreshadow somehow meant back at their hideout, and we have no idea where that is, being all underground and hidden and whatnot."
  25. Hey, would it be possible for Nanowire to get involved? You know, in a villainous capacity? He hasn't done anything suitably evil in forever, and he's already lost most of his "bad guy" cred. We could just call it an accident that he stumbled across your little band and got the wrong impression. Or hell, he might be pulling a robbery by himself. He's not out of the life entirely, after all.
