  1. Jessica mentally flinched when Vic said her real name. Well, it's not like Hector would get anything on them. And the dogs were on the short list. "There there," she said in a soft comforting voice, "I have your back, Mack. In fact, I'll let you know something before hand. We're," she looked to Vic with a wink and then back to Mack, "OK, I'm here to solve your canine problems. Your boss fed the dogs magical meat. And well, yeah, they're not dogs anymore." She took Mack's hand in hers, warming him up a bit more, and looked into his eyes, wordlessly asking for trust, but if that didn't work out, lust would.
  2. Diplomacy: 1d20+11 25 +8 again, if it matters!
  3. "Aw, aren't you nice," Jessica said in a half-teasing tone. Half, only because she needed to take care of those things after Hector. She straightened up - those poses were hard to hold, and she was a dancer - and looked to Vic and nodded for her to follow them. "Those dogs don't sound like real dogs," she said flippantly as she followed the boy, but keeping a watch out for the dogs, "I mean, junk yard dogs are mean and alland all but," she trailed off seeing what he would say. Playfully she put her ever warm hand on the back of his neck for a second. This weather, even in jest, warmth was needed. "We never introduce to each other. I'm Killian. And you?"
  4. Bluff: 1d20+11 17 +8 again if the looks work for him. How old is he, by the way
  5. That was meant to be an intimidating bluff. She has Taunt, can she do that?
  6. Standing up when the boy started questioning her, Jessica shook her head as he droned on about scraps. "Not a scrap delivery. Communications between parties. We are messengers." She could still hear the barking around the junk yard. Waving Vic closer, she readied her and herself just in case the beasts made their entrance. "Listen," she said picking up the tossed magazine, and thumbing through it, "If Hector doesn't get what's coming to him, well," she looked at him, "I'm sure that'll be on your hands." She crossed her arms under her chest and leaned to the side like one of the photos of the busty barbarian babe, "wouldn't want that would you?"
  7. Rant screamed the bubble away. Toughness 8 vs DC 20. That fails by 12. Which would make it Disabled. Disabled barriers have holes punched through them, and other disabled objects may be bent, deformed, or otherwise damaged. With the will save, you can tell that the party is fake. But it will be a guessing game. 50% chance to hit the right one.
  8. About the 'last demon', is that something Jessica knew about? Either way I can work with it.
  9. The ride was quiet, an uncommon thing for Jessica. She wondered if the whole debacle put Vic off. She feared that something would go wrong if they didn't communicate, but was at a loss for words. The rap was unrecognizable to her but it was enough to get her pumped. She had other things to deal with. Maybe she could get Vic's trust back by that! When they got to the destination, it was still cold, but Jessica was pretty much done with the normal act. Cold was the least of her worries. Before she got out of the car, she looked to Vic, "Do you want to do this? I would hate for you to get hurt. But you need your notes for this story, yeah?" There was a short moment of silence as they looked at each other, trying to feel what each other was up to. "Listen, babe, I won't ever do that to you again until you know what's going to happen." Slipping out of the car, she saw the young boy in the distance. She grinned deviously as she spotted the magazine. This conversation would be easy. "Excuse me," she said as she walked towards him. The dogs were a bit too loud, a bit too hellish, for him to hear her. But he saw her, boy did he ever. Looking around for the hell hounds before she got close to him. She sat down next to him, "nice eye candy you have there. Could be better though," she laughed lightly. "But I'm here for business, unfortunately, is Hector here? We have a delivery for him."
  10. "Who am I," Jessica asked, her voice sensual as she talked to the other guy outside, as she walked over to the dangerous man. Not a smart move but it could pay off. "I'm here for the celebration, Dark Fist." She stood in front of him, stepping out of her heels and losing four inches. She looked him in the eye, a test of wills, "I'm a business woman, Dark Fist. I can make your very, very happy." She slowly took off her jacket, dropping it on a nearby chair, revealing red skin and a healthy body under a black mesh shirt. "Your boy over there," she nodded to the downed man, "was supposed to be taking me to you, I guess." She smirked, "you're powerful. I like that." She took one step closer, chest to chest, "unlike these others, I could work for you. You know other than making you... very pleased."
  11. The Butcher Do You Carry Asparagus Racemosus? The Devil In The Details Fire, Water, Fist, and Coding Good Place to Start Just Dance 2018
  12. Did I miss something here? I thought we were supposed to relay our actions before hand.
  13. You can roll a DC 20 Will save, but passing it will only tell you that the dance party is not real, not where Rant and Rave are. That nets you a Hero Point. Not me though, I'm a GMPC Initiatives! Initiative: 1d20+3 4 1d20+3 18 Initiative: 1d20+3 5 Rave 18 Zenith 8 Jessica 5 Rant 4
  14. GM Rant and Rave were not amused by the heroes entrance. The bubble just fell on top of them and the red lady mocked them. "Hey," Rant's loud harsh voice echoed in the bubble, "we didn't come all this way to get trapped by no alien or demon or whatever you two are!" He looked to Rave, "plug yer ears, baby girl." Rave did so and Rant let out the loudest shout he could, shattering the bubble. Rave smiled, almost wordlessly she looked at the two heroes. "Bye," was the only word Zenith and Jessica heard before things got weird. Everything turned black and when the lights returned, Everyone looked like Rant and Rave. It was some kind of dance party. Which looked really weird with no music!
  15. Jessica was there in that moment because she'd been offered dance lessons from a friend at a club. She was expecting some seedy place, but no, it was a legit dance studio. Not a high priced one like some of the richer people could afford, but then again, she was getting them for free. There was always a catch. They'd meet at 10PM. Beggars couldn't be choosers. And the girl seemed alright, even if she was a one night dancer. But that was before the destruction started. Two kids straight from the late 90s rave scene just started blowing things up. Straight down Broadway. Panic, disorder, mass chaos. Luckily it was early. Not that she wouldn't do it, but it wouldn't be a thing to teach these punks a lesson. Luckily someone else was here. She caged the two blasters up. Floating over to the square, she grinned looking inside, "well, there goes all your points." She looked up to Zenith, equally greeting her, "my my, you got this handled, don't you?"
  16. So, what's wrong with this picture? @TheAbsurdist, can I have a tag?
  17. GM 26 February, 2018. 815 PM. In front of Beaudrie Opera House. Ray and Rachael Trask, better known as Rant and Rave to the Freedom City superhero community, had not been seen for years. In fact, some whispered that they had met their fate by messing with the wrong type of 'hero'. Others say they buggered off to Oregon to mess with Emerald City or join a cult or whatever the clickbait sites could make you click on. But here they were. In Freedom, still looking young as their first heist. What were the two up to? Well, unlike their old days, which mainly involved knocking off banks and selling whatever could get them money, they seemingly had transitioned to wanton destruction. The Trask siblings were seeing how many 'points they could score by tearing down the scenery. Holding each other's hand, they blasted everything, followed by a yell of how many points it got them. The people in the direct vicinity were terrified.
  18. Jessica and Ryan Reynolds were on a private beach, roasting marshmallows over the corpse of that asshole who made life Hell for her in her senior year. About the time clothes were about to come off Jessica heard yelling off in the distance. Ryan Reynolds was yelling something about orientation and being thrown in a lake of fire. Not the strangest dream she had. The bangs at the door were what woke her up. She sighed, then mumbled, "maybe next time." Getting up she slipped on a black thigh-length t-shirt and floated towards the door. Scratching her hair and pulling it back she looked through the peephole. Some crazy person she didn't know. Probably a fan from the club. See chain locked the door and opened it. "OK, you have a thirty seconds to explain your craziness," she said wearily, still adjusting her eyes for the sleep.
  19. Until the hero crew arrives, Jessica will be vamping it up for the leader. Getting in his ear. Making him more proud than he already is. Slipping in a few questions about Hannah.
  20. Emotion Control 10 (Power Feats: Variable Descriptor [carnal spirits], Mind Blank) {22/32} ("Sin Puppet"; sin, magic) So, DC 20 Will or that guy gets a hate on for his boss
  21. Jessica smiled like the guy leading her around would have wanted. There would be a wait, but this? Probably time sensitive. She leaned in on her guide's ear from behind, her arms around his chest, "your boss, is he more powerful than you? You look strong yourself." She floated around to his other, "is he older, wiser than you? You could take him down easily in his age. Or perhaps he's your age, you can supplant him easy." Planting the seeds of opposition was easy too. It helped that she let a Lust spirit into the unsuspecting one. Making him feel hatred towards his master. "When you take me to him, let him know." If Hannah was there, they could dip out in the chaos. If not, well, bloody coup is not how she would want it to happen, but these people talked with their guns anyway.
  22. Jessica sighed mentally. Not to the Pride spirit. See, the Pride spirit was the 'safest' to deliver messages. Greed, Gluttony, Lust, Sloth, Wrath. They made the messages into their own little advertisement. Pride? Pride just played up the speaker. You could get through a Pride message without getting other mixed signals. Vic probably didn't say what Jessica heard. "She thinks your plan is simple and could do it better. But sure, lets go with your basic ass plan," the Pride spirit relayed. In Pride speak that was a yes.Jessica took the note in one hand and Vic, around the waist, in the other. She raised the note as they walked out of the door, "pleasure doing business with you, Morgan. Back in a bit." When they got outside and to the car, she grimaced, "OK, whatever you heard, from the messenger, I apologize. I could have waited until we left, but I didn't want to surprise you." She looked to Vic with sorrow, asking for forgiveness without words.
  23. Jessica watched as Zhu stumbled over her words. It was cute as much as it was endearing. Jessica never had such 'problems'. During high school she was the weird type, but her looks alone got her friends. Though personality wise, she jumped through so many hoops. Demure was never one of them. She was having too much fun showing off. She saw Zhu as someone she could help, if the girl allowed it. But that was not the business at hand. For now. When Zhu offered her the whole plant, Jessica thought about it for a while. Maybe Zhu missed the part where this thing only bloomed during eclipses. She couldn't rip this girl off, not if she meant to hang around anymore. Then again, Greed would most likely want as much of it as there was. Though that last thing Zhu said threw Jessica for a mental loop, but she 'bounded up' with a smirk. "Dear, that'll come sooner than you think," Jessica leaned forward again, looking across the counter into Zhu's eyes. There was a burning passion there, "you're a nice girl, yes? Quiet, unassuming. The boys and girls pass you over." She lazily pulled Zhu's hair behind her ear. "But you want to be more than just the girl who does people's homework."
  24. Jessica rushed - not enough to cause suspicion - to the door, plant in tow. Not that she was scared of a little shrine. It was, as she reasoned to herself, just a little one. But no chance would be taken. When they got back to the store she breathed a sigh of relief. "Forgive my little outburst back there," she said not even processing Zhu's question. "I saw something that could have been bad for me." She nodded to the place behind her, "us magic types have certain things we need to avoid." There was a silent moment, "plants I mean," she lied. "But this one," she said caressing the pot, looking at the thing that would give the Greed spirit power, "I'm all for this one. As for what I'm going to do with it? Since you've seen more of me than most who haven't," she grinned at her, "I'm going to let you in on something." She leaned forward and whispered in Zhu's ear the step she had went through to get to this part of the ritual. Pulling back Jessica smiled, it wasn't as bad as the stuff Zhu saw on the phone, but it opened her up to more of Jessica's world. "You see, dear, Greed can be used to help as well as harm. And if you ever need help I'm here for you."
